    I really enjoyed Peter's methodical approach to working on the bowl section - it is an area that I am trying to refine and he did an incredible job of walking us through this. Very well presented. And the video coverage was perfect. Great session guys!

    I always learn so much from Zed Outdoors but in this video I think I really learned more than any other. Keeping everything square and carving the sides first then top and then facets. I've always seemed to jump around, going to start working on using that system. Thank you so much for all you videos!

      @@Zedoutdoors It was funny when you said: I will use a "cheap" axe.. Doesn't matter if I beat it.. That's the one I am using to carve but a smaller model. Everyday I wish I have a better one because I am limited.. I have to buy a better one. 😂😂

    I would heartily suggest you try walnut oil. Either the filtered oil or just straight from the food store. I am so happy with the speed of drying and the finish on both spoons and bowls and have been using it for years now. A side benefit for me is that when breaking in a kuksa or spoon or bowl with hit or warm liquids, it tastes better than linseed. Nice video guys.

      Indeed yes Walnut oil seems to be great option for many, only thing toi bare in mind is potential nut allergies for the end user ~Peace~

      @@Zedoutdoors I did some reading about that and some of the oils like Mahoney's are press filtered and that process supposedly removes the proteins that are responsible for the allergies. Have you heard anything about that?

    I found the whole process is similar to Adam Hawker's. Very methodical and clear. By the way, Zed could you visit Adam with a new cam? It's been a long time since the last video with Adam.

    Excellent teaching style...now don’t shoot me but would it not be sooo much faster to use a small band saw to ruff out and then go to the knives ...where the artistic person lives...? At 1:08:20 how are you preventing from cutting your right hand thumb to pieces..?? That’s some sharp knife __would like to see your sharpening tools and techniques....☯️. ☮️

      Thre are many different ways to approach this process and it's poerfectly fine using a bandsaw, as much as possible i'm mainly focusing on hand tool ~Peace~

      Hi Dave, it is costom designed by an artist friend of mine using Maori symbolism. One symbol meaning the ocean and the other meaning the sky, so a unison between the two ~Peace~

      Yes, you hearth rice. Pizza Kebabs is a common name in Hungry. Similar to Bread Stovens in Great Bitten 😉😁
