You are very kind Pepek thank you ~Peace~
Love this idea! I usually strip the bark right off my billets immediately, but after watching this video I think I'll be holding back next time!
Indeed yes most of us strip the bark off so this is a cool way of incorporating it into the design ~Peace~
Love Jill's teaching energy
She's an awesome lady to spend time with ~Peace~

Jill is brilliant. Always learn a lot from her. Great teacher! Thank you for this.
P.S. The background music was distracting. Your videos are great Zed. Like the peeks around and you have a great eye for letting us see the carving.
I sincerely appreciate your kind words and for watching Teresa thank you ~Peace~
As always Zed very enjoyable
You are very kind Bernie thank you ~Peace~
So impressed with your control. I've been working on learning to use an axe and can never seem to hit the same exact spot twice. Guess it's probably about practice. Great video!
Indeed it's all about practise and many thanks for watching Ken ~Peace~
thank you very much...a joy to watch
You are very kind my friend thank you ~Peace~
Great video. "MM" on the axe stands for Mattias Mattsson and "AS" stands for Anders Strömstedt.
Ah nice I appreciate the clarification thank you Torgny! ~Peace~
Very nice video, thanx for share😀😀👍👍
Thank you kindly my friend ~Peace~
Great video thanks for posting...And who would have thought that shaking hands would be a revolutionary act in 2020. Nice to see humans being humans.

has it really been 5 years ! i'd just begun carving and it was raining that day if i remember.
It really has, shocked me when I stopped to think about it, how time flies! ~Peace~
Great to see how your channel has developed since I first discovered it back in the year of "Swamp Bushcraft Show"
Very interesting vid, thanks, something tranquil in these times of mayhem and nonesense.
Cheers
Ian
Hi Iam long time and hope you've been keeping well, gosh how can we forget that show! :) ~Peace~

I tried to save this for later in December but I couldn't wait. Lovely to see you both. I still say if English Heritage had half the brains they aspire to, then they would give Zed a generous stipend to produce this type of documentary all over the country.
James compliments will get you everywhere, a sincere thank you for your kind and generous words my man ~Peace~
awesome vid thanks guys :)
Thank you kindly Nimai ~Peace~
I believe she's using the Gränsfors bruks wildlife hatchet. I believe that is the case because that's the one I'm yearning for :)
Indeed yes I think you're right! i''ve been using their hand hatchet for quite sometime and will hopefully be upgrading to a Soulwood Creations axe soon ~Peace~
Loved the video thanks so much. Can you give us a link to purchase good axes and hatches please. I only find junky ones
Hi Michelle thank you for your kind words, reg hatches it all depends on your budget and where you live. For a more affordable range I would recommend 'Wood Tools' in the UK and 'Greenhaven Forge' in the US ~Peace~
Thank you
Nice video and nice talented lady.
Isn't she just and a joy to spend time with ~Peace~
Your channel is superb, I wish I found it earlier.
You are very kind my friend thank you! ~Peace~
High Zed, another great video sir, Jill's a damn good carver too, her scorp is something else, what a tool that is, she mentions Nick westerman, and also Lee stoffer, I guess nick makes the blades and lee makes the handles, does lee get the blades from nick and put it all together ?? Big question, how much would it cost ? Would i need to be seated when you give me the shock.
This might give you a laugh!!
When jill was doing her axe work and some of the cutting, I found myself tilting and turning my phone I time with her did make me feel a bit silly lol .
Yet again all the best
Be lucky.
Les.
Hi Leslie first of all thank you for your kind words, Reg the Scorp, prices change so not sure what Lee charges nowadays. I must stress though that they sell out within minutes of him putting out a batch so you do have to be incredibly quick, well worth it though if you are able to get one ~Peace~
i just started spoon carving. I woke up at 430 am with visions of spoons. I wish I could talk with Jill Swan. I love the idea to leave the bark on. Does she have an email address so I could ask her questions?
Hi Nicole you are more than welcome to message Jill, the best way is via her Instagram which I have linked to in the description just below the video ~Peace~
Jill's a lovely lady :)
Amen to that Jake ~Peace~
me sitting in the middle of a college business class watching how to carve a bark spoon
At least you have your priorities straight lol.
Multi tasking ...I like your style ~Peace~
Come back Zed, its been too long. i need more videos
Soon brother, this lockdown in the UK has really stopped me from being able to do anything :( ~Peace~
Zed! Hope alls okay, missing these beautiful cinematics, hope the hiatus is treating you well.

Hey my friend, we have had continuous lockdowns in the UK hence I have not been able to film, will be back at it soon though! ~Peace~
Zed, where are you? Is everything ok? It's been a while since we've seen you. Hope all is well.🤞🏽✌🏽👍🏽
I appreciate you checking in Marso, alas these lockdowns in the UK have prevented me from being able to do anything. But hope to get back out soon as these restrcitions now lift! ~Peace~
@@Zedoutdoors Good to know that you are well.
Stay smart and stay safe. ✌🏽👍🏽
👍👍🤠🤠
Many thanks for watching! ~Peace~
@@Zedoutdoors 👍👍🎯🎯
Zed wth have you gone. It's been far too long for an upload!
Hi Thomas, unfortunately the lockdowns here in the UK over the past year have prevented me from being able to film. But I will be back very soon and appreciate you checking in ~Peace~
Lovely spoons. Especialy like the birch. The music is a bit annoying. I have tinnitus so that may be why. Sort of like trying to read when the music is on. Some can and for some it is quite hard.
Many thanks for watching George ~Peace~
Knot wood could be a pipe
Indeed yes very good suggestion! ~Peace~
No new videos from last 4 months . Why? What happened? Are you ok?
Alas the lockdowns in the UK have prevented me from being able to film but normal schedule should resme shortly, appreciate you checking in! ~Peace~
Thanks for your quick reply,
Stay home stay safe
Take care of your family.!!!!!!

I would love to keep watching your videos, but I am not not going to use UA-cam as they insist on banning voices because of their opinions and points of view. I hope you will start to post your videos on Rumble, because that is where I am now going to watch streaming videos. I am sick and tired of big tech trying to control which voices we can and cannot listen to.
Indeed yes it's very sad to see what is happening across all the major platforms ~Peace~
