    You make my hands jealous. Prunus family of wood is my favorite to carve ie. Almond wood, but Plumb wood is my favorite so far. I love it when wood just feels so good to cut like cruched velvet butter. ❤ Oh, sweet knife! ❤

    Hi Ben, love your work mate! I like that new knife design.....believe it or not it is very close to a design i have had in my minds eye for a while now...but for a very different use scenario....im here in the tropics of Australia's Northern Territory. Anyway more power to you Sir

    Ben is that the AEB-L Hunter Orange G10 Parang?.......weight?...field sharpen ok?...thank you

    • @BenOrford
      @BenOrford  Рік тому

      Thanks for the comment yes this is AEB-L and holds an amazing edge but is super easy to sharpen even in the field. The weight is 500g would be slightly less with micarta scales. Let me know if you want more information
      Many thanks cheers Ben

    You should make a laser sloyyed knife with a spoon gouge pummel just have it come out the back alitttle and put a 90’ on it.
    Just enough to dig out the bowl part of the spoon.
    Cheers

    Ben! Quick! What's the tree trunk next to you when you start to describe the parang?! I have several like that but cannot find the bark description. Many thanks Eddie.

    Great demonstration again Ben, it looked easier than using an axe but I am sure that is mostly due to your knowledge and skill with the tools. You said the cherry had been felled a few weeks ago. What is the guide for timber to carve a spoon and the moisture levels/time from felling please ? I appreciate that could be a long answer but it must make a huge difference to the carving process. Is greener better than too dry in most cases or vice versa ? Thank you.

      Sure this one has extras like liners and the AEB-L stainless steel. We are going to make some more stripped back versions in O1 carbon too 👍
