    Great vid, thanks for posting. I'm considering buying a Scout, and if I do, I'll want to change pipes, intake, and put PV3 on there - so your vids are very insightful 👍

    On fuel injected cars inside the throttle body can get some gunk in there, I normally use some carby cleaner and a rag and give the inside including the butterfly a wipe down. Over time the gunk can get Into the air jets similar to a carby and effect how it runs and idles. If it runs without the air cleaner I’ll also spray a bit inside the throttle body with it running to clean it a bit more.

      I usually will do this too - probably around the 15K-20K mark

    Great video man! After market air filters are the way to go. Do away with that oem airbox that comes on them to let her breathe so much better! Plus it makes it easier to access the spark plugs and what not. Ride and stay safe down in Big Texas!

      That OEM box is horrible. I also can't believe they sell the "Indian Performance Intake" and it's essentially the same thing but just with a high-flow filter.

    Oh man this has been on my list for a while. 30,000km. I def need to clean my filter.
    I always thought the trask was a dry filter. No oil? I’ll have to check the instructions that came with mine. If I can find them....

    • @dadwithabike
      @dadwithabike  3 роки тому

      Yeah I couldn't find instructions for it so I treated it like the S&S.

      I just installed mine last night. Iridium spark plugs plus PV3 and a tune from fuel moto at the same time. Emailed Trask about cleaning recommendations. They replied:
      Just purchase a K&N cleaning kit to clean and then apply a very light coat of oil on it. Interval depends on riding conditions so whenever it looks dirty I would clean it.
      Somewhat helpful, somewhat not lol. I guess I'll just stick with 10k miles? Maybe I'll check it every winter? I'll figure it out

    Time to change the brake fluid, it will make for a good vid..maybe get someone to hold the camera..

    • @dadwithabike
      @dadwithabike  3 роки тому +1

      So I inspected the fluid and it was good but I'll "probably" do it at 15K. When I do it, I'll wear the camera so folks can watch :D ... the process isn't complicated though - just time consuming and potentially messy.

      @@eddievasquez5693 I absolutely did. The best upgrade for the scout is the intake and the PV3 tuner. That gives you the biggest increase. The full system only adds a few more HP / TQ ... but that Trask, S&S, Arlen Ness intakes - you can't go wrong. If you do change your intake ... get a tune though.
