Sold my 2012 CVO Street Glide earlier this year and ordered a new Scout Bobber a few weeks ago as it was time for me to "down-size". I've already ordered and am having the dealer install a number of initial mods for me once the bike arrives. Will no doubt do a bunch more myself down the road. UA-cam, and your channel specifically, has been a fantastic resource in researching and determining which initial mods to go with. Thank you for providing such good info and enjoyable vids (I've subscribed to your channel). My initial mods include: 8" Vault Mitered handlebar - looks great on your bike and they gave a 10% veteran discount (Go Navy) Saddlemen LS seat PV3 tuner S&S air intake Performance Combat exhaust (ordered directly from Performance with the quiet baffle) Ohlins shocks Indian low wind deflector and floorboards - covered by the "Heroes" promotion Thanks again, enjoy and ride safe!
I love this video and your others. I dig your mods. I see you haven't dressed up the silver screws on the engine case. I have a set of flat black caps available for $50 + shipping. They fit great and look amazing.
Thanks for review thinking about downsizing myself my biggest problem I like to ride a hundred miles with fuel tank is ludicrous sure hope they make aftermarket bigger tank
Yeah....they gotta make money too 😁. I've updated all my newer videos I just need to go update all the others. Thanks for watching and the support brother
I want to change my handlebars and I had doubts about the look of the 8" with the cafe fairing, that I also have, yours looks awesome, so I think I'll order the handlebars
So there's a custom metal work shop here in Austin (sadly closed due to covid) but they made it based from this. www.amazon.com/Cadence-Motorsports-Custom-2018-up-Indian/dp/B07VKBQMGW
I don't get why people should tell you to buy something different. I mean, only because you didn't chop the rear fender off and so on doesn't mean that is not a bobber.. it's your bobber. How hard is to mount the Memphis Shade fairing? In thinking about also getting the Cafè
@@dadwithabike I will try when I'll get all the parts, and I'll probably look for some installment videos. The Cafè fairing is a bit less "protective" then the Gauntlet you had before, right? Would you still say it makes a good difference tho?
They have added a lot more products since then so this points to the wrong one. I'll fix that. But this one will work for the scout bobber - dean-speed.com/scout-bobber-classic-sissy-bar/
Good morning Sir, trying to remember what size windshield you recommended for highway riding with the Road Warrior. I Want to say it was 11" but looking to verify Before I order it. Thanks for all your Videos & Reviews as it's made Me a much-more knowledged Bobber owner :)
Great video! I'm thinking about this bike with similar mods but I would need to install a passenger seat for my wife. Do you have any thoughts on how the bike would preform on a day trip with a passenger, or do you think that a different bike would be better for that situation?
I think it would be just fine for a day trip but any longer with a passenger and you would want a different bike. Jumping on, grabbing a passenger and scooting around town or out for a day - it is perfect.
It's considerable vs stock and the larger you go in the Memphis Shades family the more you get. I can ride w/out feeling like I'm getting ripped off the bike.
I like all your mods, makes the bike your own. What are your thoughts on the Revolution Performance 1300cc(79") Indian Scout big bore service kit? I don't have my Bobber yet, but I will get it and I have a bunch of mods I want to do to it. Like the big bore kit and Thunder Works dual intake, Freedom Performance 2 into 1 combat shorty exhaust. Let me know what you think my friend.
I will do the Big Bore kit once my warantee runs out. I'm eye balling that bad boy. I'm not sure oft he dual intake because of the tank lifts required - not sure how I think on that. As for the Feedom Performance exhaust - they are awesome!
@@dadwithabike I have a bunch of other mods in mind, pretty specific, would like to get your thoughts on them at some point. Your channel has inspired me quite bit. My wife, lol well she just sees the dollar signs.

Absolutely
Great looking bike! What height is the sissy bar you installed from Dean Speed?
Thanks! It's an 18" ... I probably should have did a 20 or 22 to be honest
What mirrors are those they look good on the bike
Those are Arlen Ness Mini Ovals

did you have to get new cables( brakes and clutch) after installing the handle bar.I have a 21 bobber 60.thanks
No, as long as you stay under 10" bars you can keep stock cables.

How do you capture the audio for your voice? I'm guessing the GoPro / similar device's mic is not good for audio quality.
I use a GoPro 7 and the mic adapter that leads to a mic inside my helmet.

Yes I have ABS and stock cables work.

Why did you get a tune done to your bike?
Open it up and more performance.
What bag is that above the instrument cluster?
It's a handle bar bag from Burly bags
How’s the sound and performance of that tbr vs a dual with slip on tips?
Performance is much better and the sound note is deeper.

Will the new exhaust scrape in turns?
No it doesn't, it's pitched up high enough as it rounds the engine case that it avoids it.
What size is your sissy bar?
This is the 18" from Dean Speed
@dadwithabike what size is your sissy bar for reference?
Mine is the 18 - In hindsight I should have gotten the 20
