You are a godsend. I am in an ongoing identity theft crisis and the thieve has moved onto attempting to open checking/savings. The bank where the thief was successful is coming after me while at the same time refusing to disclose any information regarding an account number or transactions other than "there's been activity and because this is now in our fraud investigation department that's all we can say." This is good information. I do wish that I had some more options though. I reported identity theft and haven't received a response ever since I pushed the report button. It's been frustrating because I've been accused of things but no one has shown me any evidence or taken me to court. Strange.
My mom had someone steal $6,000 from a company using her name. They then had the audacity to throw threats of legal action at her for something she never even did, even after she had explained MULTIPLE TIMES someone stole her identity to do so.
I want to find the one who did this and send them through legal hell. However, I can't do that. I'll do what I can to help using the information in this video.
UPDATE: So I showed my mom the video and after following most of the steps (and some we also found online) we learned that it was close to being past its statute of limitations, and the company(s) trying to come after her were trying to get the money at the same time. They never sent back the correct information and have since ceased communications entirely. We still will be reporting them to the better business bureau since this is something both are known to do to people. Thanks for the info!

One of the banks that the theft asked a loan using my name, told me that the bank have on the theft’s application, a second telephone number but this bank refused it to disclosure to me the theft’s phone number.

What can you do if your identity was stolen and money was stolen but it was found out after statue of limitation timelines ?
I asked the bank where the cc was opened and they claim that they don’t have access to what was purchased , only to store from which it was purchased.

I found three addresses on my credit report associated with my ex wife on my credit report back in April 2021. I contacted the child support office about a totally different matter and the case worker asked me was I still living at the most recent address that I had just discovered on my report a few days before? When I asked her who changed my address from my original address to this new one she told me that my job reported that address to them which is a lie. My ex works for the child support office and when I told the caseworker that the address she was asking me about was my ex wife's current address and she committed identity theft they have been giving me the runaround ever since. They are still claiming that my job gave them that address when I have been living at the same address since 2013 and I have documents from my check stubs and W-2s to prove it. How should I address this situation because my ex has three residences on my credit dating back to 2014?
You poor Soul, I hope you turn to Jesus cuz you are going to need His mercy and strength to get you through this. What an evil wicked thing for her to do. God promises to judge all the wicked on Judgemement. Just make sure you aren't on His bad list too. Bible says, all liars, all theirs, all forniactors, all adulterers, effeminate, boasters, sorcerers (mediums, or anyone who practices magic) will NOT inherit the KINGDOM OF GOD. If someone was arrested For a dui and gave another persons name
Because they were very intoxicated and scared to go to jail
Then they are released that same night
The next day they relize they Made a Big mistake by giving another name
They want to turn them self in but now are scared to get in more trouble so they just keep going with it
hire a lawyer go to court get community service and probation and have to get a certificate at a dui class
But now the probation officer is catching up to it what can the charges be when cought?
