My family is from the greater Buffalo area and, every single time we visit, as soon as we hit the Grand Island Bridge I call to place my order. Pure culinary delight. I can relate to having to cook your favourite foods at home. I live in Australia and recently travelled to New York. After having pastrami at Katzs, I searched desperately to find something similar. We literally don't do pastrami in Australia the same way. Our version is thinly sliced cold deli meat like ham, nothing like how the us do it. So now I have to buy a smoker to attempt to recreate that delicious meat because I literally can't buy it anywhere.
