I’m a going gray sister living in Southern California where chasing youth is the name of the game. A lot of my friends are pretty high maintenance and I’m not exactly low maintenance, but at 64 I found myself tired of the whole beauty rat race. The pandemic has given me the impetus to let go of some of the upkeep. I’m 6 months in with below the shoulder hair and I am thrilled and fascinated by my transformation! I’m quite silver and loving it. I don’t know if I’ll be able to make it to the finish line with all my length, but I’ll be playing it by ear. I’ve rocked short styles before. I’m most excited about the clothes and makeup options I’ll have with my new look. Keep rocking your pixie...love your attitude!
Oh I am so happy for you! Yes, the pandemic is responsible fr me finally taking that leap. I would have kept the length and waited it out but I really just wanted to go all natural super fast. I am notorious for being impation. I am happy to have it all natural now. I am so happy to be on this journey with you. xoxoxo Lori
Arrrgh, I watched your previous video where you went short for the second time and you looked great. I thought then that your bone structure is so good you’d rock a pixie cut and here you’ve done it! It’s AMAZING on you! You look stunning with your natural grey and this cut. 🙌🏼
I've always been pretty brave when it comes to my hair. I did the pixie cut some years back. I'm looking forward to going gray naturally and doing things naturally in general. Kudos to you!!!
Hi Laurie/Lori(spelling?). You seem soooo nice. Your kind share helps me as I go thru emos about deciding to not chase the grey and letting it all come forward. Thanks!!!
Thanks for sharing your hairstyle. I have had several short pixie cuts over the years. I am so done dying my hair. Your hair colour is very similar to mine so I’m going to take the plunge tomorrow and get a short pixie again to hopefully get rid of most of my hair dye. Thanks for sharing❤️✂️
I did exactly what you did. I cut it all off. It was very liberating. The back was buzzed cut. And at the top it was just like yours. And in 6 weeks it has grown and now it’s time to get a trim at the very back bottom area. I am loving how the grey is growing in. March 2020 was my start. Love your hair! Stay safe and God Bless.
I decided to go natural--gray and right now I have a lot of color in my hair. I also have a pixie cut. i know when i go gor my next cut,I will lose a lot of color. You look awesome! Your style and the way you are going gray is close to how i am going. I have had positive feedback, but also negatives. I am going to do it quietly and let all come and ask. Watching you and others, I have found that you need to take care of yourself, otherwise everyone will think you are old, going gray.
I also got a pixie and love it as well . Sometimes I feel like coloring it but that feeling doesn’t last. Next time i feel this way I will think of what you said , I don’t want to fit in a box ......
With you sister.👊.did same thing in October... loving it. You look great. Thank.you for posting this video it may be the vary nudge some women need💪👍 thank you 🙏 💞
I am seriously considering the chop off, a little scared but excited at the same time. I will be 50 next year and started embracing my gray hair 4 years ago. Last year I put in an amonia free colour shampoo but even although it is supposed to completely wash out, I don't think it ever does and the ends are brassy.
It’s adorable. I’ve been going COVID gray since February and it’s just sort of happened. I’m 65 with really curly hair. I’ve cut it myself about 4 times and almost all dye is gone. It’s been a journey. You look awesome. 💋
Your skin tone seems to work well with your natural hair…sadly mine don’t go together at all! I wonder how much work it is to have highlights/lowlights…
Hi Lori!!!! Love your hair!!! ❤️❤️😻😻❤️❤️ Yes!! If I didn’t dye my hair my whole head would be white! My mom was all gray in her early 30’s and she used to put this blue silver rinse in her hair! 🤣🤣 Getting my hair cut Tuesday. Haven’t gotten it cut since February due to lockdown! I can’t wait! I feel like a sludge right now! 🤣🤣
This looks really suits you, but it doesn't suit everyone. Also you don't have that much grey. :-) You've got a lot of natural colour still there. So the effect of the grey is very subtle. If long hair is what suits a person, then the pixie is not a good option, because there's so many grow out stages, and you have to deal with a dramatic change in hair colour, and a dramatic hair cut. :-) But like I say.. this cut suits you. :-)

Yayy we are on the same timeline basically. Thank you so much. I love the experience of embracing the growing out. How are you liking the process?
@@LoriWheeler sometimes I want to fast forward time. I am ready to see the end result. I love my hair to shoulder length.
It's beautiful!! 😍👍
Looks terrific!! I’m considering this as well . I’m also gray transitioning 3 months in and considering the pixie as well .
I highly recommend it for sure. Its so awesome and it forces you to have to patience to grow out if you desire to do so. Lesson allll around

Oh thank you so much!!
I did the same you look great
Thank you so much!!
Sorry if I missed it. I’m watching this at work (sshhhh…) lol. How many months of gray growth was this for you?
A while. I ended up cutting it super short then let it grow out. If not, it would have driven me crazy
Beautiful I did the same -I’m 50
You look great with this pixie cut! But now your newer videos have you with longer hair and it’s dyed. I must have missed out on why.
My hair isn’t dyed. It is growing out but zero dye
I’m tired of the color maintenance
Yes, I was too. The quarantine made it much easier to go natural
