- These vegan sausage rolls brought us right down memory lane, memories of gorging on mountains of sausage rolls at friends birthday parties as kids. This recipe is next level and really worth trying. Let us know your favourite memory involving sausage rolls in the comments.
Sorry we don't have a written recipe for this! We're currently working on an updated and improved version which will feature in our new book (to be launched in Spring 2018)... So please bear with us until then!
All the best,
Dave & Steve.

Yo dudes!! Absolutely Love everything ye do! but just a suggestion, for future recipes would it be possible to put the ingredients in the description bar to make it easier when following the recipe and also prepping it 🤘🏻
Claire O'Mahony ^^^ yaaaas....i concur!!! ☺👍
Yes, please that would be lovely :)
Claire O'Mahony please!!!!!
but with no recipe, we can watch the video again and again till we figure out the recipe ^_^
Hahaha true!!
That looks amazing! I love how the majority of the ingredients you use are pretty common in most households. That's something I definitely appreciate.
+Making My Home Happy Thanks, yeah no one has time to be climbing the Himalayas looking for pink salt :D
😂
Oh my goodness boys, these sausage rolls are unbelievable! I am going to be surprising my family with these at our Christmas Dinner. Thank you for creating something so delicious that I will be proud to serve it to my non-veg family.
FYI to other viewers, I needed two sheets of pre-rolled tenderflake puff pastry to make this recipe without stuffing them so full they exploded.
Ah Crystal youre a superstar!! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas 😄👍🙌💚
These look absolutely amazing. Congrats on 100K subscribers. :) I'm hoping to join the club this year too
Your doing awesome! Keep it up!
Thanks. :) Your support is awesome.
+The Vegetarian Baker Thanks we were so happy hitting that milestone. Good luck reaching your hundred K
Thanks. I'm going to need all the luck I can get haha :)
They do,don't they? I have a little bakery down the road from me that goes veggie "sausage" rolls and had them before and they taste amazing. They have the similar colour, with kidney beans,so wonder if they use white beans in them too.I let someone at work try them and they thought they were great.Definitely will have to try this recipe.
Hi guys! Thank you for keeping these recipes simple for us and most importantly for bringing the joy every time you shoot a video 🤗
Means a lot oana, so so glad you enjoyed ❤️️ sending you big veggie love!!
OMG lads made these and they were AWESOME! My kids wolfed them down and didn't even realise they were vegan! Thanks so much!! You guys rock. ❤️
Wow thats FAB! So thrilled to hear! Big love 💚😄🙌
ah, just checked on Tesco website, their puff pastry is indeed made with veg oil. also UK based viewers, Jus-Rol pastry is on offer for a quid there at the mo. excellent for the kids' lunchboxes.
Even Lidl in the UK has vegan-friendly puff pastry rolls...
I made these and they are OMG good! Even my omnivorous husband devoured them with gusto. Sausage rolls were something I had missed terribly as a veggie, and I am so grateful to the Flynns for giving them back to me. It's almost 50 years since I ate a "real" sausage roll, so I cannot say with authority, but I think they taste just like the corpse-filled, artery-clogging, carcinogenic ones. ;-) The full recipe is in the Happy Pear Happiness cook book. Definitely something I'd be happy to offer to non-veggie guests.
Best recipe ever. Make them quite often. Even meat eaters love them! Vegan food for the win! ❤️
That's fab to hear- gowan Eline!!! 😄🙌👍
These were so good!!!! I made them for a family thing and everyone loved them, barely even noticed the missing meat!
Ah that's brill to hear, Alice!!! 😄🙌👌
That was absolutely incredible, best Christmas feed I have ever made.
you twins make vegan cooking look so simple, yet very satisfying :-) gonna have to try these
You definitely do! 😄👍🙌
I cant wait to give these a try. However, I will probably add some fennel and sage for more of a sausage taste
These made my mouth water - I shall definitely be making them! Thank you guys, you are amazing - you make food prep fun!!
Wooo Jillyjogs!!! Let us know how you get on, they really are something else!!! Big love 💚💚💚
I added a table spoon Marmite to my sausage mix. 😢 heaven!!! Awesome recipe! It beats veg spring rolls... haha
Just made these for the first time... SO DANG GOOD!!! All the thanks to you two.
Next time I will pulverize the walnuts before adding them to the food processor, as there were small chunks missed after blending.
I have made these three times now one with chick peas and Brazil nuts, walnuts and chick peas, and walnuts and cannelloni beans, all so awesome thank you for such an easy and tasty recipe
But what is Tamari Davie ? - Oh very good question Steevie !! Tamari is a wheat free soya sauce !
DOn't forget it's been fermented for longer. ;D
The sausage jokes never get old! Love you guys 💕
We dread the day they do get old. We won't be funny at all. ;D
Awesome video, can't wait to try these! Love the super cool background music 😍
Thanks, we've been feeling that tune for a few videos now. :D
Loved your lentil sloppy joes.I've made batches and froze them. Super easy to microwave. Cant wait to try sausage rolls, im also planning on making i believe a meatball sub with the sun dried tomatoes.
These are amazing! So delicious! Great for any meal or party hors d' oeuvre.
These look so good I think I’ll cheat on my go-to red lentil ‘sausage‘ recipe tonight and give it a try. :) I’d bet these would be great with some honey mustard or roasted red pepper sauce for dipping.
You have the BEST recipes!!!!
+6OceanSoul9 Thanks so much, would love to know what you think if you try anything out :D
These look amazing!
Love them! Husband and toddler loves it too! Xx
thank you SO MUCH for this! these are absolutely spectacular and sooo much better that real sausage rolls, i cannot eat enough of these!
if anyone's like me, and thinks they can get away with just using a blender... well I'd do the dry nuts first! then garlic, then you can just mash the beans and stuff with a fork and add the nuts. don't be like me and try and do it all at once in a Nutribullet! lol
Many thanks for this, another engaging and fun demo, not overcomplicated and the sausage rolls look great, will give it a go....
I just made this for the first time, but with gluten free puff pastry. Absolutely loved it! Thanks guys. Also it can totally be done in a nutribullet. You just need to blend the ingredients individually, add the wet ingredients and herbs after in a mixing bowl and stir. Thanks again guys!!
Yum! Amazing party food, I've gotta have a party now! 😀
They really are, we made them for a party at the weekend and they vanished pretty quick. :D
I think we vegans should start saying better than the "old thing" rather than the "real thing."
+Seed-Bearing Bites just better in general ^_^
Never thought about this before but i 100% agree!!!
Totally! My wife doesn't eat meat usually and absolutely would never touch haggis, but.... she has created a vegan haggis recipe from beluga lentils and it was actually a hit even with the meat-eaters!
Good thinking!!!!
Never clicked on a video so fast!! YES!!!
gahbunk me too 😂😂
I hold a monthly women's group and the food's mostly vegan with one or two cheese items, these are on Saturday's menu, thanks lads! 💜
That's amazing Beth, we have recipe videos for vegan cheese sauce and mozzarella if you ever feel that adventurous. :D
The Happy Pear I will one day, fermentation's taking up all the spare experimental counter space for now! Thanks for all you do and how you do it, you guys rock 💜💚
loving the quality of the vid! 😄
In Germany we have little white meat sausages with majoram, so maybe I try those with lots of majoram to make it taste like those "Nürnberger Rostbratwürstchen" :-)
Delicious! Loved by all the family, including the meat eaters. Thank you.😀
Can you make some Cornish pasties?
Ah that's so brill to hear! Sure we'll put it on the list! 😄😋🙌

Great one ☝🏾
Thanks a mil! 😄👍🙌
Absolutely delicious! 10/10! My only note is the salt....I love salt but with the Tamari that is already salted a tsp of salt is too much....add 1/2 tsp and taste so you can not go wrong!
Yes, I agree! I have made these so many times over the years and always reduced the salt. Delicious :)

Great recipe lads. Made these last night but added a little grated carrot to the filling for a little extra moisture (and fibre!!)
Fab recipe x 😍 new subscriber xxxx loving the accent 😘
Thanks a mill for the support! 😄👍🙌
Brilliant! my husband & dogs love sausage rolls--this sausage meat is so easy, I can skip the Mrs. MaCartney ones next time;)
Yummy!! Just watching you eat them, got me salivating lol. Good job boys!! :D
Thanks Laura, Let us know if you try them out. :D
Yumi yumi excellent recipe you guys!!!
Cheers Helen!
Love you dudes, tried these tonight and totally too much salt!! I used table salt, so maybe sea salt is what you use, but with tamari you really don’t need salt!! Not complaining, I’m gunna try it again without salt and hit you back. Ah, also!! I have a ninja and it takes about 6 mins to blend to smooth!! Also, why use oil instead of plant based milk? Ps. Not criticising, just commenting/ questioning x
Just made these for lunch for vego mum and vegan self, they were really good!!! tasted similar to hummus ahah but amazing, definitely would make again, so so easy :D
Thrilled you enjoyed! Keep up the fab work! 😄😘🙌

I made them yesterday and they are delicious!!! So easy to make too - thanks so much for sharing the recipe. I think I was having a senior moment though and I froze them cooked!!! Do you think 20 mins wrapped In parchment then 5 mins out of the parchment will see them okay or do I make more and freeze them uncooked? Thanks guys :)

guys, I'm making these for a party in 2 days time. I want to make them in advance. Am I better to refrigerate and bake them on the morning? Or should I freeze them and bake in the morn? any advice most welcome. amazing recipe! xx
Why did you take the recipe off your website?? It use to be there and now you say that you don't have a written recipe?
It is a beautiful recipe as I made it once before and it's a shame that you took it down from your site.
Awesome stuff guys
Thanks you, let us know if you give them a try. :D
🤤
Yo, dudes! Long time no see! Yummy as usual. The food is not bad too!
+Scd Observer Hey! Hope you're keeping well!

My favorite food!!!!!!!!!!!
+Starheart2♥ We're on a big sausage roll craze now. We've had a lot of them since shooting this.
EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers Aimee dear. Let us know if you make them, would love to hear what you think of them.
Hi guys, all the puff pastry I've found has butter. Can you guys come up with a dough that's vegan to be used with this recipe or south american empanadas etc...."multipurpouse dough". Thanks a mill!
We'll put it on the list, Laia! 😄😋🙌
But is puff pastry not made with butter? These look really good!
We used the Jus Rol from super Valu and its vegan!!! 😄🙌
Great video, looks like a fab recipe. Could you recommend a substitute for the nuts please? Thank you! xx
Definitely making these for the French crew on St. Patrick's day. not so much available to a vegan here and I'm looking forward to challenging them a little bit!
+Aoife Kirk Amazing Aoife, let us know what the crew think of them, we've been eating them non stop :D
4 yrs ago I made all of my own pastry. Today 2022, the price of pound of Kerrygold butter is rapidly heading for five euros and the cost of fuel is ridiculouslying high. No more baking for me.
I think I'll rename these two The Naughty Pair 😁
I would put some mustard and pickle relish in one of them! :-) I used to eat mini pork pies that had mustard and pickle relish in it and they were so delicious I think it might add to these a little bit. I will find out when I try. ;-)
I'm planning on making some this Xmas but a family member has a nut allergy! Can I sub the walnuts with pumpkin seeds or some other kind of seed?
Lol if you turn on subtitles for this video they are so not what you are saying 😂
& these look yummy 🙌🏼
Hahahaha, they're DIVINE Kayleigh! 😁😁
