This guitar solo always takes me to a trance.
Me too
Me too
Me too
All Pink Floyd songs 🥳🥳
It triggers my inner pedo
Finally a tutorial covering the rythm parts. I find them harder to get down than the solo itself. Thank you!
Completely agree! The rhythm part was the real reason I wanted to learn this one... takes a lot of feel to get it right.
@@SparkyGuitar thank you for that work, even with the tab the rhythm is so hard to learn
honestly if youre trying to get better at rhythm guitar, give funk a try. it teaches you a bunch of ways to spice of your rhythm
I'm happy enough to play it at 4/4, but damn do I want to figure this out. I come from a Hetfield as my guitar hero background, so it's particularly challenging for me
Yes everyone always has the lead part when I’m just trying to play the rhythm it’s much fun imo
With all the famous 100 mph solos out there, this is one of my all time favorites
I always argue with people that Gilmour is one of the best guitarists to do it. He was never super technical or fast, but the emotion that his solos project is unreal
Gilmour is a master of quality > quantity
100 Meh's per hour.
This guy Gilmour is the real deal, he knows how to use notes brilliantly.
Gilmour is the true Slowhand Man
@@Nero-Forte99 thank God, he is not one of those super technical shredding jerks who are annoying af. he is an artist. one of the very best ever on the planet.
David Gilmour- the solo master and the sensei of trancy fills
Great job. If I had to choose one, I think this is my favorite solo of all time. The tone is perhaps the greatest sound ever produced by an electric guitar in my opinion.
I think it 's the best solo cover ever all over internet. The sound and the note detail is perfect. Keep on.
Wow, thank you!
This was transcendental absolutely... but I would also venture you have a watch of "Ask" by Daniel Earwicker and come back and reply.
Tough solo to play well, but you nailed it. Gilmour's style is so difficult to replicate with all of signature techniques he throws in with the bends, slides, etc.. The guy is just so ridiculously talented and creative.
I love the format, Im so tired of those teachers that want to tell me which finger goes on which string on which fret. that they feel they have to teach at the lowest level . how are the newbies gonna learn the neck if you just spoon feed them! Your format makes it so simple to see and hear it done correctly. Watching it being played is how I have always learned to play, with friends, at shows and now watching you play. Your fingers have a way of enunciating each cord or note exactly! I only wish I could have learned in this way back when this was first released, I got my first guitar shortly thereafter.
Thank you so much!
Thankyou! Really appreciate the comments. My approach has always been to produce videos that I think would help ME. I cannot watch videos that tell me note by note what to play. I don't have the patience for it... and it just isn't what I need. Most intermediate guitarists like me can read a bit of tab... and even without the tab they have played enough that watching someone is often enough to show them the chord or the pattern of the riff, the timing, the basic neck location etc. UA-cam also allows you to slow it down and rewind so that's all I (and many others) need. Ive got nothing against the channels that show note by note - I'm sure it must work for some people - but it doesn't work for me so I'd feel like a fraud if I did it that way. And - oh, how I'd have loved UA-cam when I was a kid learning!!! Anyhow... all the best Jeff!
Gilmour is the true Slowhand Man
А Another brick in the wall?
you got that wrong. I love Gilmour's art, but Eric Clapton is Slowhand.
@@carlosmanuelgonzalez310 lol respectfully disagree. EC named an album Slowhand, doesn't crown him though.
95 percent of DG's repertoire and style is slowhand.
EC released an album called Slowhand. Huge difference
@@carlosmanuelgonzalez310 if you can name me 15 songs of EC that shows slowhand style I'll stand corrected.
PFFFTT GILMOUR IS SLOWHAND???
All lesson vids should learn from this format. Clear, concise, on point, great presentation. Cheers
First person I’ve seen on UA-cam play it correctly. Nice work!
the rythmic guitar is so cool and dificult, a constant 1/16 like in funk, and the chord sounds on the exact 1/16. great. thank you!!!
5:05 eargasm 10/10 my ears are pleased. Thank you 😊
I’m wondering what pedal he kicks on there
thanks for the effort. You've made pink floyd fans really excited to learn this song.
That solo is freaking majestic 😍
This is very cool! Perfect! Thank you! The tabs and guitar presets are very useful.
I learned this whole song by ear. I’m pretty impressed on how close I was. Nice vid.
There's a hell of a lot packed in here. The rhythm part is amazing to see played. Excellent. Thank you for doing this!
Glad you enjoyed it! Everyone focuses on Gilmour's solos... but his rhythm playing is first class. Check out my "Dogs" video - there's some really interesting rhythm parts in that one!
@@SparkyGuitar Over Thanksgiving a musician asked me who my favorite electric guitarist is, himself somewhat of a player, no hesitation 'David Gilmore'. He was literally stunned for a few seconds. Well then OK who's next? 'Billy Gibbons, for different reasons'. His brain was cooked at that point and just sat smoking his cigar staring at me, probably wondering what universe I was from.
@@fly1327 Gilmore is on the top 10 rock guitar players list from Guitar Player mag.... ( or was it rolling stone?)
I was doing amazing until 1:37
Brilliant!
We have the same patology
lmao, same
I was eating a bowl of cereal when I scrolled down 4 a peak at the comments, when suddenly, thanks to you, milk came shooting out of my nose. Thank you.
5:06 got me weird chords!
This is the only cover I've found on here that sounds 💯 correct. Nice job!
Wow. Gilmour is my favourite.. Your playing is awesome. Thank for sharing. Blues on brother 🎸🖖🏻
Excellent playing ......really enjoyed
Dude! I found you for a tutorial but i come back for your tone! Jamming at work!

This will be the first song I learn when I finally get an electric guitar. This is my favorite song ever 😩 it makes me feel
Awesome video the rhythm incidental notes are so cool. Good job man. Real good 👏
Bro...you nailed it!!!!!BRAVO!!!
Благодарю! Это пожалуй лучший разбор с нюансами и хорошим, правильным звукоизвлечением.
FANTASTIC WORK!!!!
Perfection! Thank you very much for this tutorial.
Awesome tutorial, thank you so much for making this fantastic video
Fantastic lesson and playing.Thanks.Subscribed.

Thanks a ton!
Thank you, that's impressive!! Nice job
I need to be able to click 'like' more than once. :-) (so I paid to download the tabs, etc, from patreon.) so very well done, thanks much, sparky mcsparkerson.
Instant subscribe. Fantastic playing, fantastic clarity to the lesson. Fantastic all the way around.
Thanks for the sub!
Best tutorial of this i have come accross. Thank you!
thanks you lots for this one. before learning the solo, i wasn't really used to the bending technique. i feel like the solo in this song being full of bending and me practicing it for months now has given me more control over the guitar and improved my skills in general. who would've thought.
How long have ypu been playing guitar before trying to learn it? Im wonderijg if in ready...
@@stanisawsowinski934 longer than I’d like to admit 😂
Nailed it! Good job!!
Very good cover !!
Thanks man. Love the way you have done this, makes it so much easier to follow. Who the hell would thumbs down this???
probably my wife!
I have the tab book published in 1990 (cost me £15 at the time) this is spot on :-)
Excellent tutorial! You clearly put in a lot of effort on this, so thanks for that. You should try a UniVibe type pedal for that Breathe Reprise section at the end. Keep up the great work!🙏
Very good performance !
It is an amazing classic!
Excellent job.
Such cool! Very accurate. Everything is clear and easy to repeat. Thanks!
Thankyou!!
Man where was this video before I sold my guitar.
Looks like I will have to buy a new one now :D
Outstanding lesson and playing…thanks for posting!

Brilliant, brilliant- thank you!!
The People that do this kind of vidéo are the best of my world
Great job!!
Best I’ve seen on here up till now 👌👌👌 bang on 💪
Cheers Peter!
Sparky Guitar credit where credits due 👌👌👌
The great thing about this is the fact that the rhythm guitar part was played separately from the lead/solo part which is how it was originally record. Pure talent!
straight to the point no bullshit, please never change!!
Thanks man this helped a lot.
Great sound
Awesome its really like the studio One

Simplemente Perfecto. No me canso de escuchar, agarrar la guitarra, seguir practicando, espero algún momento poder lograr algo así.
Thanks! Keep playing... all it takes is a bit of practice!

Excelent!!!!

You re a MONSTER ♥
thank you for showing how to do...
Nice
What is the origin of Dark Side of the Moon? For me it comes from a James Taylor lyric.
bravo...
That is a nice lookin fender, I had a squire and didn’t really love it that looked just like it, But it didn’t have the poplar neck, I’m guessing that ones made in corona California? Gorgeous
Thanks! It's a mid 90's USA one... I've just had to strip all of the lacquer off the neck as it was chipping (Fender used some cheap lacquer around then!)... gave it a new oil/wax finish. Gave it a full fret level/crown/polish... now it's ready for a new song to cover!
@@SparkyGuitar I got a Deluxe Plus from 93 with a maple fingerboard. And the finish is chipping off in the coolest way. As a kid growing up, I remember seeing so many old 50's Strats with worn out necks looking like animals were chewing on it. Loved the look so I do chip away at various spots to give it the "relic look". But it's a slow process relicing your own guitar a yr at a time. So far only been at it 24 yrs and still at it every week. Easiest way, play every day at least 1 he. L O L
Awesome. Can you please do mistreated by deep purple live in London. Thanks
PUTZ! Como é complexo isso..O Guilmour era mesmo gênio!!
super
What effects are you using? I agree with the masses regarding format!
