I am 61 Asian and am using Amlodipine 10mg each morning for 5 years. So far I am happy with it and very effective. My blood pressure is 125/82 most of the time each day 💊 I may have to take this drug for the rest of my life .

Yes, but some of us have genetic issues - I do work out 45 mins a day - weights and cardio - I walk a couple miles a day and yet still have high blood pressure - not huge as some do but 160/95 - with Amlodipine and Lisinopril I am ay 120/75 - so worth the slight effects I get. The doctor said at 64 the exercise I do and my diet (Carnivore) are what kept me from having issues earlier.
Hi Mauriciosantos9076, did u really stop this med Amlopidine? I want to stop my amlopidine 5mg. I had pelvic pain since i take it, it says calcium blockers norvasc amlopidine. Aug 2023 now is Sept 2023 1 month taking it, thats my side effect pelvic pain.

I was taking this medication for high blood pressure, for me it was totally unsuitable. After speaking with my GP I was weaned off the Amlodipine, was I glad about that. Never again.
Great vid, very truthful, concerning side effects, unlike other vids and descriptions of side effects, out there This garbage gave me blood in urine, clots of blood, stomach pain for weeks, orthostatic hypotension where my blood pressure dropped to 95/55 after standing up from bending over, headaches, unsteadiness on my feet, and more. Amlodopine messed up my mouth, kept my ankles swollen, no longer taking it. Dental exam ..Dentist ask are you taking amlodipine? I said yes.. why do you ask.. she said theres too much bulk and swelling in your mouth, gums and side flesh is too fatty.
Had horrible side affects on Losinipril so Doc put me on this. 8 days of 2.5 ml tablets and can barely move around without really forcing myself to get out of the chair. Feel calm but very lazy. Slept better at night on this, I take it before bed. I don't know how I'm gonna keep up on my yard work, laundry and other chores while on this crap. Not sure why it is making me so lazy during the day.

Having problems with this now,put dose up to 10 mg due to high BP .I have decided to go back to 5 mg because feet and ankles swelling . Telephone consultation with GP next week how will he react don't really care this suits me
I've been taking Amlodipine-Benaz 5/10 every morning. I do get swollen ankles feet, not to often though, it goes away in a day or two. I was in a bad accident in 2017, a semi ran over my car while I was standing in front of it on road broke down. So have plates, screws, in neck, leg..nerve damage. I take other meds so never thought of it. Shallow breathing, but mostly at night. Not often. Going to have to ask my doc.
I took 3 tablets of Amlodipine and landed myself in hospital with BP 180/130 and pulse of 160 BPM from 140/88 64 BPM. So this is another side effect not mentioned. I stopped taking the medication and 4 weeks later I still wasn't back to my base line pre med. I have struggled with higher BP since taking this even on other BP tablets .
I've been on this medicine for quite some time now, but I recently started experiencing dizziness when I wake in the mornings, ankle and heel pain when I step out of bed in the mornings recent neck discomfort that I thought was due to looking down at my phone or that it might be my pillow hurting my neck.

Sounds like you need a water pill….are you on blood pressure meds? Your numbers are pretty high…I take a blood pressure med that also has water pill included. Good luck…

New to hypertension here. Just started taking amlodopine besylate 5mg 3 days ago. I've experienced lightheaded and blurred vision upon taking, but it last only a few seconds. The lightheadedness comes and goes. It definitely lowered my BP. When I had my highblood episode it was 180 over something. I felt weird, but not dizzy. My heartbeat was fast. It lowered my BP, but I'm wondering if it lowered too fast. My BP today was 110/78. I didn't feel lightheaded or my have blurred vision, but I feel nauseous. It's not too bad tho. Is it because my body is still adjusting to the meds?
Video is not the best representation as you should give the percentages of each side effect not just claim all of these issues that most are very rare if any. I used amlodipine for 7 years and never experienced anything.

I have not been prescribed Amilodipine. And, neither am I taking Amilodipine. Nor does the requirement arise for me to take that. So if someone is giving it to me through food/water or any beverages. Shedding excess weight will help. Also it will drop AST, ALT and ALP reading for your liver function. Target for BMI of 24. Best of luck.

Try raising your legs with a pillow below when you lie down this helps with swelling although you should see your doctor for it.

That's dangerously high. Sounds like your new medicine isn't working.
The amlodipine caused the edema and probably higher bp level, heart paps, and Afib as well. This stuff is a TOXIN.

Talk to your doctor and ask if you can gradually reduce the dose and completely come off of it.
Depending on the side effects observed, medication should be stopped or changed with doctor's advice
