    As a reminder to people, you have "morning height"also to consider. Morning height is when you wake up from rest.the spinal cord expands upto one inch because the fluids in the disc's expands.during the day,the disc's compress losing that one inch. So actually your height varies

    I dated a girl who was 5'11" and I oversold myself as 5'10" (I only recently learned I'm actually under 5'9"). I put post-it pads in my shoes. As painful as it was, it worked, but I'd rather have used these. Just remember: height doesn't matter when you're flat on your back.

    The more conscious you are about your height, the more insecure you become and the less likely you are to stand up straight (ironically making you look shorter). Stand up straight, wear shoes that aren’t flat (you need all of the height you can get). Wear clothes that fit you well, and consider lifts as the last resort, and only use the smallest lift, like half an inch or an inch, any taller will just make your feet hurt and consequently make you not stand up straight (which defeats the purpose of lifts).

  • @macvena

    My roommate is vertically challenged. He wears lifts. I'm 6'. He's now at my height when I've got no shoes on. I tried his lifts in my cowboy boots with a Cuban heel. I ended up at about 6'4" between the boot and lifts.
    Went and got myself some. No shame, and no regrets. It's great.

    I'm 6'2" 2/5ths (without shoes) so with shoes I was within 6'3" but wore 3/4" lifts in highscool football to look bigger at about 6'4" and I still played as good if not better due to my confidence. but damn I was always paranoid about being found out by my teammates so I would always walk around with the shoe lifts inside my socks (tapped around my foot...). Going over an inch or even an inch is risky as you have explained.

    Thanks for taking time to do a review. Seems like there are a lot of high end options and a lot of low end options for inserts. The low end options on Amazon when I run them through a website that checks for fake reviews flags almost all the products on Amazon as not having authentic reviews.
    I was looking for some lifts for an upcoming wedding where the bride is going to have 3" heels and doesn't want to be taller. You did a great job talking about the negatives. It was also nice to see the comfort of these lifts as many are hard plastic that if you would wear them for more than an hour or two would be very painful.
    You should do a follow up review if you start wearing them daily.

  • @raymond942
    @raymond942 5 років тому +6

    You need to use these with smart boots, as the heel will be higher. Also a half or full size higher will be more comfortable. And stay away from skinny jeans, they will highlight the lifts. Plus, anyone saying anything below 5-9 isn't short, u need 2b out in public when taller guys get more respect in the office , looks from girls, etc...

I bought a pair of shoes that already have the insoles inside of them but they aren't comfy and me being flat footed😂 are uncomfortable after only an hf wearing them... I did try to put some insoles and they're better but they have to be slim insoles cause it's way too tight for the regular ones...

      I’ve been wearing lifts like these for nearly 10 years (not in my shoes or sneakers, but in boots). I think only once in all those years did someone notice I was a bit taller (and probably because he was exactly the same height as me normally). Watched the video, just one question, wouldn’t buying larger size shoes be too big? Your feet only extend out it’s natural size. I know that the heel part will be elevated from the insert, but if you buy bigger shoes then your toes will end up at the end of the laces instead of the front of the shoe, unless I’m missing something.

      These heels are not designed for dress shoes. So buying a bigger dress show will not matter in this case. This heel lift only works well in basketball shoes and Chuck Taylors. If you buy low top shoes your heel will pop out of the shoe due to the material in the back of the shoe not being tall enough...Thanks for stopping by!!

    • @BotrosSoliman
      @BotrosSoliman 5 років тому +1

      Thanks for your reply. My question is still unanswered. I’m saying if you buy a larger shoe, your foot size from heel to toe does not grow longer. When you buy a bigger size shoe, the heel to toe also is bigger, so even if your heel is raised, you face the issue of now not being able to fit heel to toe in the shoe. Does this make sense?

  • @datmeme8967

      The ideal height range is 6'4" to 6'6" for guys/men, regarding attractiveness, masculinity, dominance and confidence. 6'7"+ is too tall _(aka giraffe tall)_ *unless* you are not skinny and fully ripped/jacked.
      So if you are indeed having big muscles, go on. Otherwise, at 6'8" you are going to look unnatural, akward, creepy.

    all these 5'9+ people in the comments are killing me. I'm 5'2. • @PersonOnEarth
      @PersonOnEarth 3 роки тому

      Assuming you are male please don't do that man. There's way too much that can go wrong and I guarantee you'll be wishing you never even thought about it when you're laying there in pain wondering if you'll ever be able to walk again.
      It's not worth the risk to gain a few inches imho. Not even close.
      5'2 is very short for a guy, but it's not the end of the world. It's very possible to work around your height and be just successful as, if not moreso than a 6' guy.
      If you're female then please excuse me......but in that case what are you worried about? Guys like short. :)

      @@Doc.Sleepless I'll share my opinion with you. Even with surgery you would still be considered short. Don't let your insecurities control your life. You can't control your height. You are gonna let a characteristic that you can't change define your ENTIRE life and well-being? It's not worth it...
      There are people out there in a wheelchair who wish to have working legs like yours. Yeah, being short nowadays is hard. Society is fucked up and it favors taller men in certain ways. But trust me, It's not the end of the world.
      Don't obssess over things you can't change, that's my advice. Focus on things you can. It's a stoic principle.

      Lilith Cooper hey!! Sorry I didn’t leave that info in the description. You can find these at www.myliftkits.com. I wouldn’t recommend them for any low top or dress shoes you already have. Please share the video and thanks for stopping by.
