I don’t know if any of these people are making content because they like it (obviously not) but if there is, personality is the best way to make your content good. It might not make the most money, but it feels so much nicer having a small community rather than a giant soulless channel

To be honest I don't even watch MrBeast anyways. His videos are sure, entertaining, but it isn't what I like to watch. It just feels like it's manipulating my brain so he can get a few more pennies.
People used to do UA-cam for the fun, I'm not saying before was better, but UA-cam feels like it has lost its soul.

I also stopped watching mr beast in mid to late 2020, not because he was bad or anything but I felt like his videos were just too much edited for my taste. And now I can't even watch his thumbnails. They are a bit too much artificial for my taste

I remember subbing to Mr. Beast when he was still doing worst intros on UA-cam, It was around at maybe 30k subs and it's so weird seeing the guy I just liked watching while I played Minecraft as a 12 or 13 year old to now being the most popular face on UA-cam. I remember when he made a video setting up the "Hi me in x amount of years" it made me realize when they went up, after seeing Mr. Beast for so long, I miss Jimmy.

I really like the observation that someone’s editing style (particularly with indie creators) is a reflection of their personality.
It shouldn’t have opened my mind like that, but it’s made me appreciate the creators I watch so much more.

I stopped UA-cam for a while (mostly because of exams) to rethink how I'm gonna get better at doing things on this platform (editing , thumbnails etc.) . I know it's hard to believe but this video genuinely helped me it almost feels like one of those guide channels in disguise (but better) . Thanks alot man :)

I really appreciate the last bit, I am someone who relativly recently started to "seriously" edit, spending 2 months from the first script to the finished video, using the editing techniques I learned using davinci resolve and Gimp, but I want to test out all of resolves capabilities to see what I like, instead of trying to search up trendy editing techniques, that I was planing to do, so hearing a creator say to edit how you want to edit was a bit eye opening

Correction: Ish did not come up with the Minecraft civilization trend, it was Magicgum. Magicgum made multiple videos beforehand theorizing how society would develop in Minecraft and made the first civilization video to test his theory. I mention this because you literally put his video as an example of a ripoff when it was his idea first. Check the dates on both of their first civilization vids.

I also want to add that this might not be related to mrbeast, but if you seen some channel either a commentary with Kurtis Conner style or video essay, there's lot of chance that you got a thumbnail style that has those creator then with some glitter of stuff related to video topic behind them with yellow text as well, it's a common occurrence, the irony is most of these channel might complain about mrbeast video style and thumbnail yet they copying each other thumbnail style
The content that you produce is very entertaining, genuine and high quality. You are a person, a character and not an image or a face. By what I analysed seen in your videos you are true to what you believe, you stand for it and most importantly you have a stand and a personal opinion on things. A Minecraft UA-camr I really like (who doesn't fall into the hands of repetitive editing styles) is a guy named Godis.
Very underrated imo.
funnily enough, that minecraft end portal video you showed was redone by another creator literally about a week later
This is the same with any media, gaming for example a new game will make a new genre that blows everything out of the water, then all the big AAA companies will jump on top of that till it becomes oversatuarated and no one cares anymore. Platformers in the 90s, 3d platformers with collectables when 3d became a thing, block breaker survival with minecraft, mobas with Dota 2, Battle Royales with fortnite, MMOs with WoW, then you have the oppsite side, big AAA companies who want to predict the next big thing like cyrpto, live service and now AI, but this tends to be killed before the product is even made due to scammers exploiting it in other media.
Also i am not saying these games were the first of the genre, these games just made the genre big.
