At this point, mobile games are committing plagiarism. Plagiarism is the act of taking someone's idea and passing it down as their own. For example, there once was a Japanese film called "Yojimbo" which was produced by Toho back in 1961. Then there was an Italian film in 1964 called "A fistful of dollars", which copied every single plot point from Yojimbo. After realizing it, the creator of "fistful of dollars" was sued by Toho because it was an unofficial remake of the film without asking Toho for permission, neither was any credit given to Toho. The creators of those games must be punished because they're taking everything original and make it either lazy or bad. Also, mobile ads fool customers via false advertisements, especially those that use other companies' IPs. Like a game about hunting aliens has Huggy Wuggy from Poppy Playtime in the ad, even though he doesn't appear in the game at all, which as said before is made to fool customers especially children who just don't know better.

I’m glad that Kick the Buddy: Forever lets you play without an internet connection.
What sucks is there is a lot of genuinely good hidden gems out there that don't get the attention they deserve because they don't practice these greedy traditions.
Dan the Man still holds up (I mean, it's by the Jetpack Joyride folks), even if it has a "premium" version for sale to remove ads and you can unlock a short side campaign and a new character by paying, it's still fine. Cell to Singularity is a genuine high effort idle tapper game that focuses on science, evolution, and whatnot and looks pretty good even if the gameplay is very simple (probably because the upgrade text explains a lot about the upgrade, which can range from things like "navigation instruments from the age of exploration" to "The evolutionary benefit of menstrual cycles" to "What is cytoplasm?")
I mean Geometry Dash got decently popular before being ported to steam pc
it's also the fault of youtubers like these because they drag down the general public's opinion on mobile games, leaving the hidden gems even more hidden

Kick the buddy changed a lot over the years. It went from a fun antistress to a game made for preschool kids where you get a "gift" that can only be opened with an ad after every kill. And it also takes like 5 seconds to skip.
The angel ability meant specifically to revive buddy faster was made pointless, because now by the time you get to skip that darn box he respawns on his own
that's what happens when playgendary gets ahold of a mobile game, the original was taken off the store probably more than half a decade ago and rebooted by these lard ass retards

Some good mobile games, without ads, that I Personally find enjoyable:- Divineko (A mobile game rendition of That halloween cat game on Google, contains ads only after 3 levels, And you have the option to skip them 5 seconds in, also indie developer) Alto's adventure (Doesn't bother if you're internet is off, Genuinely beautiful and A fun time to play), Shades (Sequel to Shadow fight 2, Shadow fight 3-4 are money laundering games, Meanwhile Shades is actually Pretty chill, you can turn off internet connection and play a nice good And Beautiful Fighting game) Solo Leveling Arise (My favourite right now, great Rpg type game with no ads, and I mean NO ads not even optional ones, tons of free stuff, great graphics and Doesn't care about internet connection) planet smash (has ads but You can turn off internet connection and still play a nice Game about destroying earth in Different ways) cats are liquid (Amazing Game, little to no ads, Turn off internet connection and be fine, It's a very good platformer game and has a sequel and a prequel with multiple cute cat characters and good story line, Difficulty is Kinda Not there, pretty easy at start, Merciless near the end.)

there's the rusty lake devs and their games. the longer ones are paid, but they also have the cube escape series that's all free (just make sure to download them individually, the collected version is laggy af). they're escape room/puzzle/adventure games with some cool plot and trippy horror stuff, and I'm p sure they're ad-free.

i would recommend this,all are free to play , ill try to diverse it as much. This is the games i played and would recommend heavily
• Vampire Fall: Origin its like a openworld adventure kind of game, its pretty cool the only ads are if you wanna gain more xp after a battle but its so rare i think i only saw it 12 times in my 7 hr playthrough
other similar to it: Exiled Kingdoms, Vendir
• Mindustry , if you dont know this game its like factorio, if you dont know that aswell its like a tower defense game but like those open maze where you collect resources to build and research stuff, its quite complicated especially some of the builds to optimize it
other tower defense: Infinitode 2,Kingdom rush
• Reversestory and Ruinstory are like rougelike bullethell type-ish? games they're fun and hard, havent really reached far because the bosses are quite tough.(Reversestory is the first part, which is more first attempt to it and Ruinstory is the more polish ver, if you want to understand story wise, start with Reversestory )
other rougelikes: Brotato, Magic survival, Slide and Dice(this one is just rouge lite, not bullet hell type)
• Games by the dev "Yiotro", simple little games that is quite simple in graphics and gameplay, theyre cute and fun
• Unciv is like a 4x civ type game, each game session is lengthy but if youre into this type of game, give it a try.
• Grimquest is a text based adventure game, where you go into dungeons and fight, its pretty cool.

It *is* kind of true, though, as a My Singing Monsters player myself, he ain't wrong, I mean, some of the wait times are atrocious, like an Ethereal or Seasonal's times are waaaay too long, and might as well not have mines around on your islands since the maximum mine takes like 12 hours for 2 diamonds, and shit gets expensive hella quick, however, MSM's whole shtick is to hop in it for a bit and hop out, it isn't built for fast-paced progression, and you take a gamble everytime you try to breed a monster, which really make the game that much more exciting, makes you see more in it than just some catchy tunes.

You forgot to mention that those "Game of War", "Mobile Strike" etc. games are also an old concept from the pre-smartphone era. Back then, we played them in our browsers and on Facebook, and they had names like Mafia Wars, OGame, heck even FarmVille kinda was one of those. And instead of just trying to get you to spend your money on "premium" stuff , they were also constantly in your face about sharing your "achievements" with all your friends to get them to play as well

The thing about Kick the Buddy is that it isn’t even original. The concept was taken from a flash game from DeviantArt/Newgrounds (the game was simply known as Interactive Buddy). The character seen in Kick the Buddy even uses the same body type as the one seen in what it took from.
Greed is better suiting for Clash Royale because you can spend hundreds of dollars early on to guarantee success for a few arenas until you have to buy more items and more items and more items and this keeps repeating until you reach the end of the f2p road and have to spend the rest of your bank account for a CHANCE to win your next few battles.

The thing is, one of my old friends had the game episode, so I played it. It was very interesting, but to be fair, when all of the "spicy" stuff begins, it makes you pay. Like it's just tapping the screen, and it is NOTHING like the ads. Plus there is like none of the stuff that gets shown in the ads.
