- Talking about my past (1/3)
In this video I get into the deep lore of children on UA-cam, from viewer to creator, from willing to forced, and from manipulated to manipulative. Big thanks to EvanTubeHD for allowing me to interview him!

I am a kid on youtube
You are the reason why ward is still my favorite music disc. Thank you.
You are a kid on youtube
Wait! It's not enough to say your a kid on UA-cam you have to act like it too
Oh boy oh boy I don't pay taxes I eat chicken salad every day and still don't have a gazillion subscribers
Now you try
@@thexwhats2989 ?????
no way it's him
As someone who used to watch EvantubeHD, it's oddly reassuring to know he's doing fine
Fr, it's nice to know he's well off now
ANGRY BIRDS WOOOOO
Same here, I was a huge fan of him as a kid
@@2_many_altsi love the video about the big ass gummy worm
Exactly
Kids in normal UA-cam is a special kind. They are basically our childhood, we all started as a kid trying to get popular in UA-cam. We just wanted to be a known celebrity but once our channel didn't really get attention and we just got bored, some of us quit making content for a while and watch content made by other people.
Tbh being like pewdiepie screaming all over horror games might unironically be the best thing that will happen to u as a kid youtuber
@@tuankhangcaonguyen5545 Hell yeah it was.
Me too kid.
I'm disappointed that this is the same place that has all the best indie animated works (such as Animatic Battle, Bugbo, Monkey Wrench and Ollie and Scoops).
That "Broadcast Yourself" slogan UA-cam had represents an ancient part of UA-cam where videos were made solely for fun and creativity and not just with money on the mind.
yeah
EarthBound 64 pfp... nice
I miss when there were alot of cool animation channels here around 2017-2020. Ever since 2021, there's been just a bunch of content farm animation channels.
Eb 64 pfp !?
Real
I’m calling that UA-cam won’t listen to the disclaimer and will coppa this vid 😉
UA-cam doesn't delete channels for COPPA; unless it's adults violating there TOS.
@@barbieslegos8885 never said his channel was gonna get deleted.
@@2_many_alts Well they prob won't delete the video either.
@@barbieslegos8885never said they would either. When a UA-cam video gets “Coppa striked” the channel gets marked as “for kids”.
Yeah, I've seen what happened to Sunny V2 comment section on this kind of video as his comments are disabled out of nowheee
I really didn’t expect this to get so depressing at the end. I hope you’re remembered for who you are, and not what people like the most on your channel!
Fr though, I feel like I might tear up lol

had literally no idea that you were just 17! That speaks volumes about the quality of your content! Keep it up!
There has been a lot of good 16/17 year old UA-camrs as of lately
he's only 17?! ok this explains a lot now lmao
Fr he still sounds like when he was 14
i thought he was 22 💀
Watching EvanTube grow up and turn out fine is a very satisfying thing. I love to go on his art account and look at his Homestuck Lego art, he seems like a very happy person :)
I’m not a youtuber, but I think the best way to not get remembered by who you was and not who you are is to not change yourself for the numbers, after all, who are you if not your true self

hits hard with "never see me again" at the end. hope ur doing well man

I still hate the fact that toddlers with UA-cam accounts would spam gibberish on everything, including FNAF or The Amazing Digital Circus.
I had a youtube account as a kid too, most of them was for my original character's or creepypastas- but I also had a littlest pet shop youtube channel my older sis helped make (she edited the videos and played with them w me). It wasn't popular by any means, but some people did watch them. I LOVED lps videos. I miss it sometimes, making the channel was my idea and she helped pay for more lps and stuff. She even made a little instagram account for them.
But on the flipside, the saddest part to me is when it's a kids idea, but fame causes it to warp into something greedy. I remember my littlest sister who was around Ryan's age, he was a year or so older, and she LOVED ryans toy reviews. I remember watching as it split into a kid who was just having fun to more and more corporate BS. I feel like as a kid ages, that's going to sour the love you had for something your parents helped produce, bc some day you'll realize it was for money and not genuine.
I watched your most pop video years back, I loved it! I also love the videos you make now. Life ain't about peaking. It's about doing what u love. + if it is about peaking ppl can peak like 300 times in their lives anyways
I’ll always remember you t3rr0r, you made my childhood better.
I’m old enough to be on yt tho
Evantube was hosted watched that dude when I was like 5 in 13 now also YOURE ONLY 17 YOURE VIDEOS ARE SO WELL PRODUCED AND YOURE STILL A KID
Its also worth noting that teen wilderness camps and teen therapy camps, pillars of the "tough-love" teaching mentality, are often places vulnerable teens are left to be abused mentally and physically usually without the parents knowledge, often having cult like mentalities.
I remember growing up and finding out about these "camps" that kidnap children (with parental consent) at night and take them to places a long ways from home or any known civilizations. Many victims often reported escape attempts (with some thwarted by the camp members or cops) and horrible cases of abuse that could've resulted in death. I remember one story where a child wasn't allowed to go to the hospital for a broken arm (caused by camp members as a way of punishment) unless he lied to the hospital of how it was broken. And another where campers would often be forced to scream degrading insults to other campers to punish them into compliance.
Knowing the mother she knew exactly what she was doing to the child, and since it was a wilderness camp he was most likely taken with only the clothes on his back, forced to survive on very little food, and most likely had no other clothes, shelter, or sleeping arrangements. Hearing he had to go home after all that just to find out his parents had taken everything and only gave him a bean bag to sleep on must have been so horrible.
I can only hope he's able to over come these experiences in the future with professionals and people who actually care for him.
Running away from home seems like a better idea than staying in for him more and more

I know this may sound corny and whatnot, but I’m gonna say this anyways.
Man. Just, man. Your videos always feel like an experience to watch. They’re well put together, easily grab my attention, maintain said attention, and honestly get a good laugh out of me. Admittedly, it’s a little odd to see you make such a serious video like this, considering the silly and ridiculous content you usually make (/pos), but it definitely isn’t unwelcome!
I always like seeing new uploads show up on my recommended from you.
Please, keep this up. I’m sure me and the other 300k+ subscribers agree.
(Also it’s kind of shocking to hear you aren’t even a legal adult! You’re doing well for yourself!)
I loved this video, I think you've grown with the channel, I can see the maturity and creativity change and become so much more refined! Always loved, never forgotten
❤
That ending hit way to hard dude STOP!!!! 😢😢
honestly the ending to the video reminds me of friends I had in primary school, we never made youtube videos but we occasionally recorded videos to laugh at later. I found one of them a while ago and while rewatching it I experienced the same thing you mentioned in your outro. Its reassuring knowing they may rewatch some of the same videos and feel the same way about me as I did to them.
I started UA-cam back in 2014 at the age of six, mainly making videos I'd consider now to be cringe. These UA-cam videos continued on until 2015, when my mother finally told me to log off my UA-cam accounts immediately (I had multiple account from 2014-2015).
Then, for a period of about 5 years, I still continued making videos as per usual, though I've never uploaded them onto UA-cam.
That was until 2020, when I started a channel, initially called "Pablo S.", but I eventually renamed it to Pabblo. There, for about 2 years, I made a bunch of videos, mainly memes and other stuff (also, the videos from back then I'd consider much less regrettable, because at that point, I knew how to make my videos decent).
Eventually, in 2022, I had an issue with my original Pabblo account, leading me to make another account, initially called PabbloAlt, but eventually renamed to Pabblo.
And here I am, 16 and commenting on this video.
Man I really love your video essays, they are so good to watch.
Personally I think that UA-cam isn't the same anymore. Most of the UA-camrs now hire editors and do stuff that they are not actually passionate about. That's not what a content creator is.
An example of a content creator, a real UA-camr, is you. And many many others. I just wish more people in this platform were like that.
Videos like this one give me motivation to start working more on my channel, I really like that and the video itself is great, your channel is very underrated and you have a lot of talent
12:25 Clinic Of Horrors reference
GOD I love that WebToon
This brings me back to when I was like 7 and recorded Pokémon card openings with my brother and posted them, not wanting subscribers, just wanting to do something fun and cool.
i don't remember you just from the pvz video, i like how some of your documentaries are genuinely mind-opening
Love the videos man, keep it up!

I’m the voice actor for the Ryan’s World character Combo Panda as well as a handful of others. Just stopping by to say I’m a big fan of your channel! 🤙 lol
I was literally a kid on UA-cam back when I made my channel in 2008, heck I think I still am, despite doing the youtube work (making money and such) I still like to use the platform to share what I enjoy creating
Terror throwing out W vids, love to see it
I absolutely love your videos man, they always make my day because how long they are,and don’t worry I will always remember you 👍
That ending part was not something i expected also i really liked the editing in this video. Good video as usual
This is Probably the best video ive seen on this subject, phenomenal job!

T3rrorz, I have watched your videos for years now, I really enjoy your newer content. Over the years you have grown a lot as a content creator, I will always be a fan. Thank you for your hard work over the years.
I'll admit it, I watched toy reviews as a kid, but I watched adults opening and reviewing the toys, not the kids.
hi t3rr0r i just wanted to say i’ve been watching for over a year now and i was surprised when i first found out how young you were and how long you’ve been at it but i’m more impressed at how far you’ve come! All the recent uploads have been bangers and i’m looking forward to more of your content
These videos are really calming for me, and you are a really talented artist in your own right. One writer to another I find your more produced videos very engaging, and this video especially came around very well as a story.
i like the idea of just sharing your hobbies. i love doing this! everyday i feel grateful that i dont have a family youtube vlogger team shoving a camera in my face. i wish the best of luck and respect to every child/children who have a family blogger family. full respect goes to them
Love your videos T3rror! 🗣️🔥🔥🔥
T3rr0r never fails to make amazing videos🔥🔥 love you bro keep it up!💯
if i saw ryan's world in a cyberpunk or dystopian novel i would think it a bit heavyhanded and on the nose of a way to show us how messed up the world is... and yet here we are 😭
I didnt know you were that young dude thats crazy your videos are so well put together, i got hooked in by the evil supermen video and been watching ever since, keep it up :)
I’m 15 and born in 2009 and i grew with youtube and my childhood youtube videos are PG3D Videos back in 2020 along with CODM Content where i started playing the game but decided to watch PG3D Content Creators and CODM Content Creators and watched them play the game but i played it for myself which they are my childhood games i played and watch videos of these 2 games
Don't worry dude, I saw and appreciated your growth ever since I saw that pvz video years ago, keep it up dude!
Im basically a teen now and being 13 im very glad i realized that things were more dark than they were. I feel very sorry for many of the kids you talked about in the video. Keep up the good work bro.
I cannot deny that I am on the best side of UA-cam and love watching your videos. Keep it up man 👍
Thats the thing that sucks about UA-cam: the algorithm and people only watching what they want. I like some othet videos by you better, but your editing and interesting ideas is enough to keep me coming back.
Watching this made me reflect on my first channel, and 2nd making me think of resuming the pursuit of content making for own satisfaction not others but also. It hits me deep knowing things change even if I don't like that. Evolving is the only thing we can do even if we don't see it till it's too late
Sometimes when watching youtubers I'll forget that I'm watching a person's work, seeing all the content farms and controversies dehumanizes them. Getting that reminder that you were just a 17 year old kid, I felt that, when you started blowing up you were 13, I couldn't imagine how I could take that fame at 13, even now I'd crack under the pressure. It's a good reminder that people make things, whether that be games, movies, or youtube videos, not companies.
Dayum that was a banger video. honestly sent chills down my spine thinking about how i used to try to make videos lolll. But, i hope you know that to at least some of us, you will be remembered, as that sick video essay youtuber who has impressive talent and deserves to do well :D
Honestly your one of the content creators I check up on mainly because you make entertaining videos. Personally I don't think people will forget you, or atleast I wont.
I loved to make gaming videos(mostly sonic games and speedruns) on a few channels before, when i was a teenager, from 2020 to 2021/2022. And i did it for fun! I didnt want to become famous. I did it because i wanted to, and it was fun. OFC, i wanted to show it to people, but i wanted to be productive. And even now, i still upload gaming, and im a college freshman rn! But ALSO, thats only when i started making videos. I officially started using youtube back in June 2012, when i was 7. And that was also around the time that i befan to be a Sonic the hedgehog fan
... you exactly caught how i feel
its rare, I never see someone manage to know how I feel
honestly... I want to have FUN being on youtube which is why I take my time
I think I used to watch Evantube as a kid. I also remember watching The Skylander Family as a kid and I have heard about DaddyoFive through their videos of them destroying their kids electronics, which was something I found very interesting as a kid. I did not have a channel until I was around 12 years old even though I have wanted to be a world influencer for a VERY long time.
ryan at age 20 gambling: wow i wonder what ill get!
I tried making a few youtube channels. The first one being an obvious flop since I was a kid, then another one sorta flopping again. I felt like giving up simply because I didn't get anything from it, but now that I made a new channel (it's not this one though) and it sorta getting somewhere I feel fullfilled, but it's also like you said. When there was a time my channel gathered some attention I tried everything to milk it, and even when the attention was long gone I "mentally" stayed the same in hopes of still getting something, but now I learned my lesson and I know that recording on youtube shouldn't feel like a burden that you take on yourself simply to please yourself or your viewers, it should be out of passion, doing your best without wanting to stop, because you know the people that care about you will always be there to support you and your content
I just realized... I'M NOT SUBSCRIBED?! I love your content and I thought I subscribed ages ago... damn. I love your content, keep it up!
Ending the video on the instrumental of Never See Me Again, amazing. Or the sample, but im guessing were supposed to associate it with Never See Me Again because of the subject matter.
Unrelated but Fentanyl background music is so based
Your editing has improved so much!! You're doing great : )
awesome vid diving into this situation man!
also i didn't know that you're only 17; i thought you were much older
also you started posting to youtube at an even younger age than i did; i started at 10
So cool challenge for the parts of my life, I never seen before! 😊
You’re ye most underrated youtuber of all time
why is your cabin series actually entertaining and pretty creative
I used to have a channel as a kid, one of the only videos i remember was called "The hello song" and i was just screaming hello into a camera for a good minute or so. Why was i so braindead? I think in another one of my videos there was my school uniform in the background. I think i exposed my location oops
I can relate to the 5 minute mark. Ive owned my channel since i was 7 in early october 2014 but i used to co-own it with my brother since i was 5 before that. I'm surprised most of my interests from 11 years ago stand their ground to this day
17:02 hotline miami music is crazyyyyy
I can't believe you're an actual youtuber, I found you when you were a random kid making a video on pvz knockoffs
Wow, didn't know that you're around half my age! Keep up the good work, young lad!
It's young people like you that make me still have hope for future generation.
Watching this has made me think hard about my life and where it's gonna go. I'm a sophomore in high school, I should start getting it somewhere. Thank you :)

I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would
As somebody who started UA-cam at seven years old and has since quit, I can definitely say the early popularity put a lot of stress on me because a lot of people think that I have really good talent for being an animator at 12 and I’ve been doing this for three years now butI just don’t feel comfortable with other people knowing about it so this one really hit me

I gotta say thank you terror for this channel if i have a chance in the future i will show this video to my kids to learn them the dark side of UA-cam.
I think youtube has impacted me in someway too, so I don't blame you.
Omg I love watching evantubes so much, especially the McDonald’s toy that makes snack
i forgot so much about ryan from ryan’s world and hes literally a teen now like hes growing a moustache and hes going through puberty and everything i feel like his channels gonna go down soon
3:44 terr3r putted the femtanyl song on the video :O :D
I was basically the same. I had 2 other friends in Middle School who were on UA-cam with hundreds more subs while I stayed with barely any subs. Didn't help that I'd get a new phone every time we switched providers. I kept forgetting my password so I had to make new email accounts, and by proxy, new channels. I was constantly starting from scratch, and never got that much attention on YT.
I practically LIVED on CookieSwirlC and DCTC as a kid, my mom even filmed me opening toys (but never actually post them) to satisfy my current phase of wanting a yt channel lol.
I don’t like to comment on videos much, but I wanted to add something regarding the camps mentioned around 9:35 . They’re terrible. I’ve been sent. They’re designed to hurt, manipulate, and abuse the kids there. Forced to hike miles everyday, usually with inadequate clothing, food, and water. They really aren’t something to be brushed over. Living with what happened during that time of my life has been a continuous struggle, and I have been diagnosed with PTSD. Sending a kid there is one of the worst things to do to someone in their teens, and most of the time the kids don’t even know they’re going there. I was tricked under guise of a vacation with my father, and I was luckier than most. Most were quite literally kidnapped from their beds in the dead of night and transported to the camps. It even had a slang, and it was called “gooning” (I’m actually serious about that, stupid coincidence it ended up being used for shit on the internet) anyways, poor kid, fuck those parents
I’m sorry your parents choose to do this to you.
God damn, what a beautifully crafted well made video. I would like multiple times if I could
I watched way too much Evantube when I was younger and seeing this made me feel so weird because he went from this little kid I was jealous of (He had the lego death star if i remember correctly) to just looking like another UA-camr. Time is cool.
i can't take this seriously when he plays the "falling off my balcony" video over and over again 😭
my first video uploaded was at 5 and im still kinda uploading but now more high quality and hopefully better so this was pretty relatable
Honestly TheBearWhisperer is my favorite youtuber ran by a child. Looking back 5 years later his content still holds up today.
This is the only guy I actually find having the exact vid I want to watch
