- Los Angeles police officers pursued a driver suspected of stealing a vehicle Tuesday evening.
The suspect, along with a second passenger, led police in a chase southbound on Lincoln Boulevard from Colorado Avenue in Santa Monica before getting onto the eastbound 10 Freeway.
At one point, the driver, in a dark-colored Mercedes-Benz SUV with Texas license plates, or was reportedly seen throwing an object out of the vehicle.

@@Kevin---kx3jy they allowed the pursuit to go on longer than it should have which endangered the public, they had multiple opportunities for the PIT with the only downside being property damage. That is minor compared to potential loss of life

@@RonSouth Our police are very restricted in what they are allowed to do fearing lawsuits .They cant use chokeholds or headlocks and dont even use batons anymore.The gang units of the 90s used heavy handed tactics and this lead to problems which defanged our cops.

Chase police in LA is so ignorant. The cops lay off the chase so much that all you have to do to get away is pull into a parking garage.
If you have enough gas in your car to run for 10 hours, they'll chase for 10 hours. I rarely see them do a PIT, or box a vehicle in, ram a car, etc. The longer you run and the more dangerous you drive, the more the cops will back off and let you put people's life in danger.
So, drive dangerously, wait for the cops to go in 'tracking mode', and find a parking garage to easily bail and blend in.
