Bellevue PD Stolen Car - Pursuit on I-90, 4-3-2024

- This is video from a pursuit on I-90 between Factoria and North Bend. Bellevue PD called for our help after they initiated a pursuit of a stolen car that rammed their patrol cars near Factoria. We caught up to the pursuit in Snoqualmie.
Snoqualmie PD successfully used a spike-strip and managed to disable the car. The suspect managed to escape from the first car and steal a second vehicle in Snoqualmie and continued to flee - at one point driving the wrong way on I-90.
The suspect eventually crashed the car in North Bend and fled on foot where he was arrested.
So much better watching from the police helicopter than a news chopper because everything said is intelligent and on-point.
Agreed. 💯
Commentary was CALM and clear very professional ❤
Yes…if this was a news chopper they would have blurred the suspect and bleeped out the description
@@DinFL AND they have a clear video to show the jury if needed, although how this would ever get that far, I don't know. I still can't figure out why ANYONE would flee the cops. They're going to get caught one way or another..........
The heat signature from the cars wheels was incredible.
Them the brakes 😂
King County Sheriff Air Support you guys are amazing. I could, and have been known to, watch your videos multiple times. It’s the teamwork that I find exciting. Having that view from above is invaluable. To every LEO (air/land) and their K9s who were involved in the capture, uber respect. Keep up the great work and stay safe out there. 💙
let's just hope he's going to be held accountable for his actions, 15 to 20 years in prison sounds about right to me
Throw in the corrupt judges and the law makers for attempted murder … like someone else said Ga Or AR would have had that vehicle stopped within 15 minutes
please, let us not forget about "PROTECTING BLACK CRIMINALS".....
Nope.. the judge will let him out next week
If this happened in Arkansas, it would've been a 15 minute video with the PIT happening within 7 minutes.
WA state passed a no pursuit law a few years ago. Worked out well for them. 😂
You got that right. No escaping guys like J. Byrd (ASP trooper).
And if this happened in CA they would have kept chasing him until today
Oh for sure…. Them boys down there don’t play
@@vaughnbluejr5960THE PIT VIPER‼️🚓🚨
I was ahead of this chase on I-90. He passed me on the shoulder at crazy speeds then flinged back into traffic. I saw the chopper hovering. I was thinking, "Oh damn I hope they get him," and they indeed did get him! 😊
the police did their job now will the prosecutor and judge do their job?
If the helicopter would have hovered at the golf course there should have not been a car jacking and this would have ended. But it circled and they lost sight of perp,.🤪
I saw a naked lady on the beach once.
@@Dr.Pepper001 lucky duck!
@@Dr.Pepper001 you know who really turns me on is Mrs bellows from I dream of Jeannie 👍👍
A most outstanding job by the helo pilot and his infrared camera system, My thanks to the King County sheriff Dept. for showing us this video,, :-)
They have a really nice looking interstate. U will never be able to hide from the FLOCKER CAMERAS and a FLIR CAMERA. Never ever.
I live here. It’s not smooth or nice.
@@nolanrhager2613 It's all in the eye of the beholder.
what about with one of those shield blankets that heat wont pass through??
Suspects wont beat the k9 and his nose tracking the scent of a suspect . Technology does have vulnerabilities that a k9 doesn't .
rubbish the perp just didn't understand how to block his heat signature
15:11 Washington State drivers still have a Keep Right except to Pass problem.
Big time.
That was amazing to watch👏
Smooth, effective flying and comms! Thanks for keeping us safe 👍
They went right by my old house. I still love North Bend.
Holy moly great job Guardian 1! I love watching you work ❤
Chopper: We are on the suspected car, driving on the shoulder, just blew a traffic light.
Other officer: Need someone to confirm that.
other officer wanted to confirm that the car was carjacked, not that the guy blew a red light.
If you're not from Washington, which I don't wish it on anyone, you don't understand our current laws; carjacking allows them to pursue. King County is very blue. And mean they worship the democratic party, therefore, they love liberal soft on crime policies and hate the police. King County pretty much runs the state. And they've cut the nuts of the cops right off. Only county on the west coast that I'm aware of, that doesn't vote in their Sheriff, they appoint them, because an elected Sheriff can tell the county administrator, Dow Constantine, to gf himself. But not now. And she has no business being Sheriff. DEI at its best.
@@loknlode Sad...it's down to politics - but we have similar issues here in the UK and most of Europe.
@@loknlode Yeah, ngl that no-pursuit law was a terrible idea. Didn't they change some stuff recently to give LEOs more leeway?
Been hoping this one was going to drop soon! We need weekly uploads!
This chase went by my workplace. Glad you guys caught him
all those cops at the initial crash and none could stop him from stealing another's vehicle and continuing the pursuit.... pathetic
Sometimes I think it is intentional
You watched the video with the infrared eye in the sky point of view. Did you see where he went?
Much respect for these agencies.
Obviously, this didn't happen in Georgia or Arkansas. Fortunately, our troopers aren't quite so timid. 😊
Yeah, I need to go to bed in 5 minutes. Think I have time to go watch a few ASP chase videos?
Has nothing to do with timidity, it's the stupid liberal laws in the Seattle metro area to prevent LEO's from doing anything, lest they violate the criminals civil liberties. There is a reason all of these major liberal cities are short 50% of the needed men and women to police their areas. It is so bad in Seattle that the police cannot respond unless you are actively being shot at, or someone is attempting to kill you. This is the kind of policing you get when you defund the police.
The police in Washington are as good as any in the country, but the the state government, and most western Washington counties and cities hamstring them with their pro-crime policies.
This guy already had 10 felony convictions, and has over 25 bench warrants issued for failing to appear at a hearing or complying with a court order, but will probably get a light sentence in King County.

Valuable asset, remarkably competent crew! Good work, fellas!!!!
That was some damn fine tracking by the helicopter
Excellent tracking and AWESOME REPORTING !!!! ❤ Clear and CALM ❤❤
The continuous circling missed him at the golf course. The camera guy also zooming in too much, almost missed him at the river. The constant switching in "night vision" to see the heat signals on the open roads wasn't optimal. I've seen a lot better, but it's a great educational video.
Whoot! Our local boys!!
Well done Officers!
Unfortunately it could not be more pathetic.
Incredible team. Thank you officers!
Even the arrest itself took longer than it had to 🤣🤣🤣
Social agendas have consequences. Prime opportunity for a PIT/TVI while on the open freeway. But noooo. More worried about the thief than the public or pursuing officers.
That said outstanding job Guardian 1 and ground officers.
32yo Brandon Wilburn has 10 prior felony convictions
They literally talked about doing a PIT and then attempted it... But you far-right nutjobs won't pay attention to anything that doesn't suit your argument
If we had common sense politicians we wouldn't have a pursuit problem.
If people used common sense, stuff like this wouldn't be happening.
Mostly amazed by the incredible work of the heli pilot. The incredible camera focus while staying safely in the air.
Around 8-9 mins in you can see how he took that other car from the parking lot!!!
Woohoo! Been waiting for something like this channel. Thank you!
❤️from downtown Seattle.
Stole my son's managers car from golf course
My brother's mother's uncles son plays golf 😂
CAN'T BE POSSIBLE BECAUSE MY UNCLES BROTHERS COUSIN WAS THERE
They lucky they didn't steal my son's car is gutless.
thank you for your videos good job!
This is insanity, they follow cars with helo and no vehicles. The criminals can stop and steal or hijack other cars at will since the police are nowhere to be found.
False. I was near this, they had 15 cars chasing. You can even see them all at 9:45
only thing worse than the suspect causing an accident with innocents is the police
The air unit thermal camera needs adjustment, too close to a pure negative image, you never even seen him get out of initial car after being spiked.
I was in traffic waiting to get on 18 when this was going down... crazy how long this went on
7:42 suspect standing in lower right parking lot
Good catch!
my friend told me to search this up today. she was at her grandmas house when this happened and she witnessed the whole entire thing-
You guys are great in that helicopter....good job!!!
15:00 Crazy how much hotter his car is showing on the IR. He's really pushing that Subaru.
Wow! That cost a lot of taxpayers dollars!
He needs to work it off in prison.
Question for someone who knows…Why did they keep switching to FLIR? It looks like it makes harder to see what’s going on. I can see if it’s night time but during the day?
I've lived in King County for over 40 years. This channel has been live for over 10 years...how did I not know this existed, this is awesome! Also, very professional radio comms
Thank you for publishing this! Very good!
The airship seems to be hanging back way too much from the car that at times he loses the car so he uses his Flir to reaquire the car.
Once the chopper has got you in sight there is no hiding place.
Not pursuing and this guy still driving like an idiot, endangering everyone else. Bet when they catch him if they do he will be released by the judge, no bail to do it again.
Especially in King County. Those prosecutors and judges are so left leaning, it's not funny.
Yup. That's so Washington.
He had 10 prior convicted felonies...so yeah high chance he's let out and continues to commit crimes in the future.
@@slandshark yup, Brandon Wilburn 32yo
They set his bail at $500.000 , he had more than 10 warrants already...
Dogs greatest day at work!
Love Guardian one. My buddies and i used to use a scanner to follow it around back in the 1990's when we were in high school. Called it the ghetto bird back then. Now everywhere is a ghetto.
Everything after seven mins should have never happened with a police force that knew what the hell they were doing!!
The guy in the chopper giving the ground officers info was amazing! Unbelievable that they were able to track the thug through the forest with computer intel!
Way to go guys!
I knew he carjacked that car! Goodlord that was frustrating not being able to tell you!😂
Good job not pursuing him and allowing him to carjack another person right in front of your officers! Might wanna change that policy geniuses 🙄
in WA state, the criminals have the right to carjack at will
It’s already been changed. But takes 90 days for it to be enacted. Beginning of June, police will be able to chase again.
Some people cannot comprehend why they do not chase them. It was not only a dem policy, it was bipartisan It enables their fight or flight instinct, which causes them to go faster and take bigger risks to get away. its always someone else fault with you type of people.$1000 says you had no idea they lowered the threshold to keep perusing in the past 12 months. as well as passing a new bill this past month.
@@doesitmatter8866 some people can't comprehend why you DO chase them. considering that the pursuit laws were changed to allow pursuit again, you defeated your own argument. go find some criminal's feet to wash.
@@iswm lol what?? i was pointing out how stupid of a comment he made, not making a point.
I can tell so much about you by your pointless comment
Great job guys! So fun to watch.
Yea! They FINALLY filmed a video from Bellevue, WA‼️🥰
Nobodys even chasing him why the hell is he driving like sombody is ?
the reason you can see him in the video is because a helicopter is chasing him! What do you mean?
This is unbelievable police work!!
Great job to all involved!
Curious about the color inversion apparent in the non-IR parts of the video - intentional? Purpose? Thx!
There were several times when that guy could’ve been pitted and nothing was done. I don’t know who’s in charge, but they put more lives at risk by not just getting it over with.
I think maybe this guy has done this before ? 😡 Absolute disregard for safety of human life.
If a suspect flees at fast speeds, they are accepting whatsoever can happen to them. 🙏💙🇨🇦🇺🇲💙🙏
Is the lack of red an issue with the camera or something that happened during download and upload of the video?
20:00 That was plum crazy dude
Great Job! Glad everyone is safe!
I am so glad I found this chase..First time I ever watched one with the infrared camera..That was really something to see..I was hollering to my computer, " I see him" I am hoping my neighbor did not hear me..lol...You Troopers earn your money and then some..I just hope you know you are appreciated. Stay safe.
Wonder what he threw out of the car just after the 33:02 mark, right when he went into that driveway.
this intro is bananas
I'm over here yelling "watch the parking lot! He's going to get another car!"
Like they can hear me 🫣
Iam a retired trooper this pursuit wouldn't have gone on thin long endangering so many people during the time I was with the patrol, Iam embarrassed.
Good Boi K9 sniffed him out.
I feel sorry for these LEO’s. They’re working in an area that they’re so constrained. No PIT’s at speed. Backing off for air only. Terminating pursuit. How frustrating for the LEO’s. Then the PA’s and Judges will let him go on a PR bond and probation.
I saw you guys flying doing laps near lewis McCord maybe a week ago doing circles while I was on flight radar and was wondering what was going on
So happy Washington’s dropping the no pursuit policy. This pursuit would’ve ended in 1/3 of the time it did, and not have put as many people in danger as it did
What color filter is active with the live feed? It looks like all yellow street colors are blue?
Beautiful golf course.
I like how the camera pulls out just as they are about to make physical contact. That way if they want to Rodney King him there's no video.
my thoughts exactly!
body cams.
The complete lack of situational awareness that I see here is astounding. No one seems to see,oh I don’t know, a helo,a high speed pursuit of a car speeding ahead of cop cars with lights and sirens and STILL didn’t see that coming for 5 freakin miles? It just blows my mind…
Nice to see the cops are 2 1/2 miles away. This was so painful to watch.
great job deputies!
Great job, I'm watching from Las Vegas, my brother lives in eatonville,wa👍🙏♥️
Thank you for showing 70% of this in Daguerreotype
Very professional and well done!
fantastic Work
Good job , you guys are the best, please be safe and God bless.😊
Excellent work!!! 👍🏼
What a GREAT video. Good job guys
Looked like OJ was having one more police chase before his date to hell arrived. 🤣
Great work!
That was barely a success. Seems like that should have ended at the golf course. Is it taht easy to steal a car or do people still leave their keys in the car?
After a bunker busting day on the golf course, one must be able to easily get to their wine and crudites.
If only, He came into the building and grabbed keys out of a desk in the offices.
They had many chances for the pit maneuver on I-90 yet they let him keep endangering others. This thug was probably just let out of jail again for the 14th time.
I was wondering about this. seems not a single cop thought to approach the crashed vehicle or go up the hill to look for the driver in case he got out. They just blocked traffic and stood around while he played GTA up at the golf course.
Ya can't out run the FLIR.
Definitely not in a Subaru
What does slave active mean at the bottom of the video feed?
what i think is going on is the camera will be the slave and the computer will be the master. One can think of the slave ( camera) as the server and the computer as a client connecting to the camera ( slave) to get data for further processing. if you notice when the perp is hunkered down waitin for the cops at the river, the copter "looked" up at the house across the water. the copter was able to get the coordinates of the house because the camera saw the location ( long/lat) as you can see at the top left of the screen. the camera data is fed into the computer that tells the operator where they are. you also heard the copter guy say he updated "the marker" ( like dropping a pin on the iphone and sending it to someone) so he could let the cops know where the perp was.
I asked that too...👍🏽
Really it warms my heart to see these Amazing officers take their valuable time to clear the rubbish off the local roads.
He stashed some bag down that riverbank. If I lived near there I'd go looking for that. Handy having the chases posted.
That Flir ball helped them a lot
Good work guys!
Excellent
Would like to see how those “markers” work
Great job!
Any chance we could get a video of the incident on 4/18/2024 with Bellevue PD and the doggo?
It was a great hiding spot, if not for the Helo
Wow. This guy could have gotten away. Not I nor the officer in control of the FLIR could tell he escaped. But of course the bozo decides to steal another car and drive right by a whole bunch of cops near the crash site.
