Lexus IS250, 2006 2nd gen. Good alternator/battery, car won't start Solved.

Recently my car died on me and my roommate came out to jump it and it was not holding the charge too well. We drove it back to my house (6-8) minutes and my car died in my garage and my power steering and dash went out on the way. I bought a alternator online and replaced the old one(14years old) since we both believed that was the issue. Once alternator was replaced the video here was the result. It won't start but it turns on and it says to depress the break. We then got the old battery in the car tested and I was told at an advanced auto parts store the voltage was too low and that was the issue, so I bought a new battery. New battery same issue. By the way v6 engine if that helps.

I solved the issue. Anyone having trouble with this let me know and I will explain my solution to you.
Really intresting! Because im thinking of buying an is250 06 right now an looking for all possible things that can break on the car. So what was the solution/problem for this?

@@bajoconstruccion8201 hey, so this was awhile ago. My car died and it had an old battery and alternator so I changed them both but I did it incorrectly and blew a fuse because I did not connect the battery correctly. I ended up having to change my fuse box out. There is more to it but I'll try to link you to my solution if you still need it
@@oscarxavierholmgren2877 the problem was me blowing a fuse switching my batter and alternator. My roommate was changing the battery and alternator and didn't disconnect the battery when he was doing something with the alternator which cause a fuse to blow
@@benkelly447 was it the linkable fuse box or just a fuse I’m currently having the same exact issue after replacing the alternator and battery and if it was just the fuse which one was it exactly
How much do those fuse links cost like 200??
Cause if he’s the owner of the shop and he blew it shouldn’t he pay for it??
Yeah, I think it was around $200. And yeah if he blew it then he should pay for it when you got those replaced. My roommate blew it but it wasn't a big deal for me since he changed the alternator for me
Yeah I’m going through the same thing, if you hit your fob and the car doesn’t lock or windows don’t work, it’s your fuse link, under the hood, look through the clear bar under the fuse box next to the battery
Did you ever find out how to get your car started. I’m having the same issue
samee heree just replaced my alternator because it had drained my battery but after i replaced it , it does this
@@jeffreyespinoza2069 I replaced my alternator a year ago because it stopped working and now whenever i run my car i cannot turn it off otherwise it wont start up until the car cools. did you fix your problem?

Damn..same happened to my 350gs..changed alternator..battery works..but it won't turn over to start..hear clicking..what fuses did you change?..starter was blown?
If its clicking its prob starter

Next to the battery the fuse box remove the covers theres a metal plate make sure is is all together they tend to break when you disconnect the battery idk why just welded together

Hello buddy... My car after i change new battery don't won't start, and has notice battery light.
Please I need help my IS250 battery was dead. So I borrowed battery to start the car immediately it started, I then removed the battery I borrowed then replaced mine, after like 5 minutes I turn it the car and start it again it worked, later I turned of my car came back to start it the car didn’t start. I borrowed someone else battery yet it didn’t start. Please I don’t know if anyone here have a solution to this, I seriously need help please 😢
@Wenzy Talks hey, did you check out the imgur link I posted? I blew my fuse link and needed to get the box replaced. Which should cost around $200 maybe more

@@wenzytalks5232 it's right in front of the battery it has a black cover on it. Looks like a box.
