Wrote this as a reply, so I'll paste it here: 06-08 are early, with 06 needing a "pedal dance" to turn off traction/stability. Burn oil the most. As a new in demand model, many of these cars had the luxury package. X-package was the sport package. 09-10 were updated with better looking navigation/buttons, gauge surround, turn signal mirrors, clear inner taillight section, Bluetooth, aux and USB ports in center console. Ugliest "lobster claw" stock wheels and ugliest front bumper with no good lips available. No sport package available. Less cars equipped with luxury package. 11-13 were the last and best looking. FSPORT option. New front bumper, clear outer tails. New wheels. New headlights with the LED swoosh. Barely any cars equipped with luxury package, though surprisingly "intelligent cruise control" was an option...though I've never seen on any of them. Probably like $4,000 option. From 06-13, Lexus produced around 9,500 is250s per year and only 2,700 is350s per year. Is250 has 204hp/185tq, 0-60 in 7.4s. Is350 has 306hp/277tq and rips to 60mph in 4.7-5.0 seconds, yet only loses around 1mpg to the 250.
There is also a hidden feature on the smart key. If you press and hold your unlocked button, all the windows will roll down, and the sunroof will open also
For fun donuts, turn the traction control on. Then when turning it back off, hold it for 8 or so seconds. This will turn off the traction control and also turn off the VSC(vehicle stability control) you’ll know it’s worked if the VSC and the traction control light illuminate.
I imported a 06 IS350 with the luxery package this past July and I love the car so much. Since it's Japanese it also comes with an additional 10 hp over stock at 316
I also have a 2006 RHD IS 350 (got it a few weeks ago up here in Canada), and they are nowhere near 316hp lol. Dyno'd it pure stock at ~245hp and 230 lb-ft of torque to the wheels. So it's roughly 280 to the crank. Not bad, but Lexus's numbers are way off; needs a CAI and aftermarket exhaust to really open up that NA engine
@@reloadingdontshoot1 I'm not a car guy, but wouldn't it make more sense that the car has lost power over the years? IMO (could be wrong) the numbers were probably right-ish at the time, and wear on your specific car has caused the decrease in power output.
@DAndyLord naw, I'm not a "car guy" either, but I know enough about basic mechanical engineering to know that you're not going to lose that much HP to engine wear. I'm sure you could lose a measurable amount of HP after enough years of wear, but no way would it be the orders of magnitude the other guy is talking about. I'm sure cylinder seals and liquid pressure and other things in the engine that depend on good seals can get worse over time from wear and there's probably some amount of power leakage. But 30%? 20%? Even 10 seems kinda crazy to me.
I have a 2010 250SE. These cars function best with oil changes every 10,000 miles or so; helps to quiten down the engine and reduce revs. They have poor fuel economy city driving (27mpg or so), but improve significantly if you drive down the motorway at 70mph. My best tank average during a long cruise was 40mpg. Despite the fuel economy shortcoming, I still love mine as it’s really easy to look after and extremely comfortable to drive
I have majority of these features except for the auto wipers, memory seating, power tilting and telescoping steering wheel, reverse tilt down mirrors, and the power rear sunshade which is basically the luxury package. Thanks for the video.. Very helpful

for my IS250, i just keep the headlights switch to normal "on" position and once the car has started up, headlights and fog lights turn on. it goes off automatically when i switch off the car then open the driver's door. once i lock the car the mirrors fold automatically and when i unlock it unfolds. lastly, yes... there are guidelines for the backup can. you could even change the style of the guidelines or even remove the guidelines completely.
I saw a Lexus IS250 with some body kit Parts on it but I don't know if it was a 2006 to a 2012. Just wondering how do you find out what body changes were made to the car over the years

I've owned my 2009 Is 250 awd and I don't have all the sweet features you have .I have the same color just black interior .I bought mine salvage title for 6600 It has been a great car .I absolutely love the mode with snow/power in the snow mode it help you don't lose traction as you start and stop on the power mode you gain some hp as you need to pass up a car or truck who is going to slow in front of you . Unless you have an ISF don't pull that on a tesla they will win everytime even an ISF is too slow just a better chance.All kidding aside I have one problem with this car when you take a sharp turn or go up a driveway the car beeps dome light goes on and the car lock clicks My 2011 Sienna did it too .Besides that this car is the shiz !
There is in fact a second cup hpulder built I to the center console at the front just slide it back. Atleast in my 2009 is250. And I put aftermarket headlights on amd sin had a light that said afs off and never new what it was know I know thanks
Not sure why. But I have a 2011 IS250 FSport and the amp did fail. Just died for no reason. Luckily it was still under warranty back then and the dealer replaced it for me. I live in Los Angeles, so I've not experienced the speakers not working when it's cold.
@@TooClutch99 I agree, if it's a manual...it'd be enjoyable. If not, it's just too many compromises for the car. I have a mint 2010 is350 and it's mediocre mileage, small size and subpar visibility (felt like the batmobile when I first got it) would be too many negatives for most to buy an automatic 250. 250/350 have very similar MPG yet the 350 has 102hp/92tq more.
that ECT almost causes me to get rearended in the snow becasue while driving up a hill in the snow my car stopped and there rather large 4x4 comeing up behind me in the snow and ice barely squeezed past my car because my car stopped right at the very top of the hill just before it leveled out I had to sitt and press that stupid button to unlock the trans so my tires would spin enough to get a little traction so that the next vehicle coming up the hill wouldnt rear end me, so for myself the ECT is BUll crap and for people that do not know how to drive in the snow. I do like the speed and tach light warnings becasue most my driving is on a small highway to and from work at nighty and becase this car is so smooth driving I somtiomes dont notice my speed and have had a few close calls with oncoming poilce patrols the sped on this highway isonly 80KM\H which is 50 MPH ther have been a few times when I caught my self doign 80MPH which here is a very expensive ticket if I was pulled over , my Car is AMericain and I live in Canada which I always have to remind myself the Speedometer is in MP\H not KM\H lol I only have the base model 06 is350 I am not sure about the side mirrors moving when in reverse I am going to check that out next time because I dont back in because I don't have a backup camera and the rear window is pretty small I also like tha tthe doors insidi have lights so that if your door is open any body approaching from behind can actually see the red light on the door

Please sir, am confused to make a choice between IS 250 2015 model and IS 350 2015 model. I love the two cars but am afraid of fuel economy of these cars and confused on which one to go for as i don't know the one that retain more fuel or rather the one that is preferable. I'm not concerned about speed cos am not going into racing championship. Am concerned about fuel economy and car maintenance. I really don't know which one to go for cos am considering my pocket in buying fuel. I don't need the F sport model. Please i need an honest answer on which one to go for 🙏🙏
Those are 3is cars. I really have no experience with them as I have a 2is car. I would assume the is350 is less efficient as that’s the case with the 2is
One feature you missed is that if you air up your tires to OEM spec, your TPMS lights turn off! Also, if you replace your engine oil periodically every 5,000 miles, your engine oil maintenance light disappears. Food for thought 💪
1. I have aftermarket wheels which don’t have tpms sensors which I need to install my tires have enough air. 2. My car is maintained at the time of recording it just needed to be reset since I probably did it myself before the light turned on.

I think the 316hp is metric horsepower where the 306hp in the american cars is imperial hp. So no difference is actual power.

Mirror tilt only works for models with memory seat/settings.
Ect snow starts the car in second gear. Turn it on and then check gear position.

The side mirrors tilt down so when you are parking you don’t curb your rims.

It’s a moisture issue, I had to put duck tape under the amp in the trunk and keep the plastic cover off, also blow dried it once, that worked
