@@AustinAreaSpecialist Yes, near the beach is my ideal plan. But somewhat open to surrounding areas. Still researching, narrowing my list down. In the past I've experienced beach life in Hawaii and San Diego. I currently reside in Seattle, WA. And I've been so over the city life for a few years now. After exercising patience and determination, this December is my deadline.
We need high rises like Austin! We need those developers to come and build new mixuse towers downtown. There hasn’t been a major development like that in Corpus Christi since the 1990’s. Port Aransas has a dangerous two lane highway with 1 passing lane on its 15 mile stretch to Packery. It’s a dangerous road with no lighting on it. Several head on fatality wrecks. And no mention of widening it and lighting it. Yet they are building an $800 million dollar housing development called White Cap. That will bring in 2,000 more residents to the Island, but no highway infrastructure to offset the influx. They need to make a flyover coming off the JFK Causeway to the 361 highway that goes to Port A. And widen that road to 4 lanes and light the roadway. Especially since the Bob Hall Pier will ne built and bringing in more tourist with dated highway infrastructure.
I’ve never been and stumbled upon this video. I’m not originally from Texas, but Ive been in the Dallas area since 2011. There seems to be so much potential Down that way! What they need to do is build more resort style places, hotels and entertainment! This would be a huge draw for people in the Texas triangle! I am a bit shocked by the home prices there though! I was expecting a little cheaper for it not being one of the major cities in Texas. Then again, I’m from a similar size town in NC and it’s just as expensive, so it is what it is🤷🏾♂️
Gotta - there are no jobs in CC. No high paying gigs at all unless your a RN, Doctor or Dentist. Its a service industry town. For some reason major employers do not want to invest in CC.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for not including South Padre Island. I mean, YUCKY! ... horrible, too sandy....too much sun....not enough parking... horseback riding, para sailing, dolphin watch, fireworks, SpaceX across the channel. No, it's better people stay away from South Padre Island..... really..🙄

You are so correct. I tried to shoot off fireworks on the Island a few years ago and had a little warning from the CC police. This video is meant to show the difference between the 3 areas. Do you live on the Island?
The best area in Corpus to live in is on Padre Island across the causeway on the other side of Flour Bluff. During the winter months, you basically have the island to yourself. Live on Padre off Windward Dr at the Nautilus Galleria from 1991-95.
@@AustinAreaSpecialist lets go! I’m trying to book two more trips before it gets crazy hot! However, these Air B & B’s are costing me a pretty penny! I guess I might as well invest for now and the future and purchase, right?
Well, it’s not the Caribbean for sure. But, the water can get clear when it’s not windy. The water is a shade of green when clear and the sand is tan. The beach is usually pretty clean but there are moments of seaweed throughout the year.
If you want more action with golf carts, people and bars/restaurants then go to Port Aransas. Whitecap is a little quieter with less options. If you're more into fishing, go to Whitecap area. Can't help with Surfside or Galveston.
@@AustinAreaSpecialistohh nice. I'm trying get into Texas A & M university in coprus christi, can i get accomodation? Like i want to know price and all.. btw i'm international student. It would be great if you suggest me something more...
@AustinAreaSpecialist not Corpus area but SA and the Valley. There's no difference between Corpus and the Valley, except the Valley has better access to Mexico. I just can't believe the prices of homes now.
@@AustinAreaSpecialist It can be a blast in the winter time. The summer is just too packed. I have a condos in both Port A and North Padre plus I keep a fishing house in Rockport so I’m quite familiar with the “fun” the ferry can bring especially on Holiday weekends such as July 4th.

Thank you for not mentioning the 2 best beaches in Texas. Helps keep the riff raff away 😂😂
I was wondering if that last PA house might rent me half the garage? That would fit my price point nicely.
The Island part is still in the City of Corpus Christi ,even most of Mustang Island up to Port A is still CC city limits.

It is a great spot. Thanks for sharing!
North Padre has a population 10× that of Port A?
What ocean? That would be the Gulf of Mexico.
100%! The Gulf of Mexico borders all of Texas. I love your fish photo for your avatar...maybe I'll run into you fishing on the jetties one day.

What’s the water and sand quality? Galveston is terrible and S. Padre has bad beaches.

North Padre Island is actually within the city limits of corpus Christi nowadays
It’s certainly growing. Do you live in North Padre?
Woohoo! My husband and I loved this video. We especially loved when you introduced your dogs. ❤

You covered this extremely well .. !!!! 🎊 Nice video

Great audio for recording at the beach. And pretty slick editing. Good stuff 👍

How have corpus changed through the years ?
The downtown Corpus area has become more of a destination with entertainment options. Are you thinking about making a move to Corpus?
Seriously though, what is available on “The Island” for under $450K? What are the future growth plans there?
The area has new construction all along the canal expansions with plenty of resales under $450,000. Would you like to see some in person?
millionaires row does NOT front the oceanan. it fronts the laguna madre or bay
Too true. I use the word “ocean” too loosely at times. Thanks for the correction.
For a weekend, which beach would you recommend? And what about surfside and gavelston? Can you help me? 🤯

The only problem with the Island is you have to go through the dump that is Corpus Christi or wait for the ferry to Port A.
The ferry can be fun though. If the line isn’t too long. 🚢🐬
