I didn’t know prof quit, I hope he comes back someday, like was said in the video he’s very recognizable, and he’s been around for a long time. He’s always seemed like a cool guy. I’ve never met him in any capacity myself, but he’s always seemed friendly and funny evidenced from armada’s old vods with him on stream. And I hope he’s successful in whatever else he chooses to do going forward.
Prof Pro is one of the kindest Fox celebrities as well I remember asking him to play in Discord's DM, and having 30+ mins of reality checks a couple of times as I was trying to improve (2018-2019) I deeply respect him putting that much time in destroying a foreign unknown guy online. 😂❤
While I pretty much knew most details in this video already, I still really enjoyed watching it because hearing you speak so positively about many of the players made me happy. Also you use some great BGM in all of your vids, so I'm here for this Nicki Content Era
Just so ya know, Chris (MINT) is still playing very often and has entered multiple offline tournaments from 2023-2024, all of which he won without dropping a set. He is the undisputed king of Ireland right now and he is my bet for the best fox in Europe right now, and I dare anybody to challenge that.
Whenever people ask me why I play vanilla fox they can never believe my answer is Ice (also Crush but not relevant to this). I miss seeing big mustafa on stream
@@SSBMNickiIt's all good, better to keep things moving and say you're not sure than go for perfect accuracy and disrupt the flow. Both were great sets, I recommend anybody reading this comment check them out.
In every clip i see of Armada gameplay; armada's opponent is always playing bad, or rather worse than how they would play in 2023/2024. In the first clip plup plays neutral pretty slow and when he gets a down throw on fox, he drops it almost immediately. Then not much later, plup air dodges INTO the stage for a very uncharacteristic SD. This is a trend I see everytime i look up and watch Armada clips or compilations. The opponent is always ALWAYS playing poorly. (In comparison to how they would play in 2023/2024) I once saw a clip where Armada loses neutral to mang0, but mang0 drops the combo and gets stuck in a STANDING LASER, in which Armada obviously punishes (as any unranked joe would) and that made it into a "top 10 best Armada moments" video. Armada is an INSANE player for his time, but times have changed. What was once impressive is now the norm.
It blows my mind Nicki was a top fox, but struggles as ics in the matchup. I think that's a straight up 100-0 ics lose, but if You know exactly the next 7 fox actions and have the tech skill, You can snowball them for the game
@@INSANECRAZYHODAPP i wouldn't say I "struggle" with it, I did beat a top 30 Fox player recently and lost to a guy who's a top 5 player. I don't particularly excel at it, but I think I do alright.
@SSBMNicki fair enough, most spacies aren't bad-bad, fox-> ics is their most common pipeline, I just rather farm peach players then fox players at this point. Top level for sure is harder for both, I think the rate of skill vs fox rapidly becomes more unmanageable then anyone else. Sitting on mid level peaches or pocket peaches makes me feel like drephen
pricent went to emerald city 8 (egtv event) and beat bladewise, fauxhebro and aura losing to fatgoku x2, other then that he hasnt attended any other event in na though
I don't think we realize just how bad people were relative to now 4-8 years ago, watching Ice play against Sfat the gameplay is so low level in so many spots. Even the beginners of the game now are quite close to that level of play.
@@AndrewRKenny You're reading into the comment way too hard, there are a lot of low tech, low execution, sloppy mistakes happening in the match that even beginners don't make these days. They may have a better fundamental understanding of the game even back then than the newer players do now, but the gap is much less than it once was. It's hard to realize without watching old matches just how far the game has progressed over time til now. Hopefully a better summary that's a bit less lazy. Also, I said relative to now.

You're letting your eyes or brain deceive you here pretty hard. Beginners today would not make winners semis at TBH6 lol.
No, beginners don’t play that well…
Using higher level tech absolutely does not mean that you're dramatically better. Low level players now would still get their asses kicked by ken
@@vercolitin what 2007? Hell no what you're saying is right but that's the neutral at a certain point tech just over powers the neutral.
