Cheers Danita, your welcome - glad you enjoyed it! 'Gots 2 get ma geek-on' next weekend as well with the DJI Flip when I will be attempting to properly explain how polarizing filters work - if the weather is good enough and I can get the research right on it (and more importantly try to find a way to make it at least a bit entertaining! 😂😂😂)🖖
I'm not too sure I want to record sound from my drone, mostly because people get bored hearing you scream (like I did a couple of days ago, when my Mini 4 Pro refused to respond to a command to descend ahead of landing). I would probably have more fun recording people around me laughing hysterically as I panic. Very comprehensive video, mind you. Nicely done.
😂😂😂Thanks buddy - yeh - there's a lot of editing that has to happen to cut out the swearing sometimes! 😂 especially in the intro and outro of this vid - eg 'WTF are you DOING??!!!' (and that applied to both me and the Air 3 at various times 😂😂😂) Take care bud and thanks for your comment! 🖖
Cheer Paul! You freaked me out there for a second as coincidentally next door is up for sale! - bit of a disproportionate way to get some extra drone knowledge 😂😂😂🖖
Alright brother , great entertaining informative video as always! I use the receiver in the RC method and also do the clap to sync haha ! Awesome stuff mate , have a great weekend! 👌👍👏👏👏
Syncing,,,instead of clap and sync use a torch with a clicky button on the end, something like a mag light, aim the torch at the already recording drone, click the button on the torch while holding the torch right next to the mic and and aiming it at the drone, you'll get a clicky audio peak and a flash on the drone video, easier to find the flash in the edit timeline.
Thankyou Sir! Must admit - I read that as 'I will continue using no MICE' and thought - well I bloody well hope not! (then re-read it😂) All the best and have a *mice* day! 🖖
A bad audio recording is better than no audio recording, but those raw audio clips recorded to the phone sound terrible. Maybe they can be sweetened up a bit in post, but I'd rather have better sounding audio from the start. Thanks for the comparison and the juvenile humor, it is appreciated. I'd guess you and I are about the same age chronologically, but we are both perpetually 13 years old when it comes to humor. 😆
Yeh - full disclosure, there is a 'bit' of compression in there for those clips, otherwise they'd have been unlistenable, but nothing done with EQ which would have vastly improved things - and also if you've got a vlogging drone and just want to stick a quick clip up on the socials or to send to your mum/GF/dog then 'it'll do...' Also - I think you'll find I'm much more mature than that! - at least 13 and 3/4 😂. Thanks for your comment! All the best!🖖
hi i have a lavier wireless set up on my rc2 i always run screen record its mainly to record any agrro from karans that might aproach me so far none only peops intrested in what im filming its great
Yeh - fingers crossed I've not had any K's for a while now. I tend to put people off when they ask me questions because it's like opening the flood gates and eventually they get bored and make their excuses 😂😂 Thanks for watching matey! 🖖
Im still looking for a way to use my DJI Mini 4k and record audio using the DJI Mini Mic, can't seem to find anything to suggest a good method. Annoying DJI Fly App wont allow me to record my audio with the Mini 4k 😞
Hey Stratplayer! I've got you! 🙂 Connect your DJI Mic Mini to your phone via bluetooth and start a voice note recording. Don't forget to clap near the beginning of your recording WHILST your Mini 4K is also recording and can see you. You can do this in Lightcut on your phone by 'importing' the voice recording file as if it was music. There are a couple of vids on how to use LightCut on the channel if you haven't used it yet... This one is a deep dive with lots of info in it : ua-cam.com/video/oe8D-MyOtfU/v-deo.html Or if using a PC/Mac editing app, download the voice note to your machine and sync it up in your editing package. You can then use that to sync up in your audio track from your phone. More details on how to sync your audio here : ua-cam.com/video/G5pTTIQ2e_4/v-deo.html Hope that helps! All the best 🖖
@@amoktimeflies thank you so much, if only DJI had made it a bit easier for us Mini 4K users! I bought it instead of the Mini 4 Pro just incase I wasn't sure about the whole drone thing. Now I regret it a bit and wished I'd bought the 4 Pro as I didnt realise that I couldn't have a colour controller either with the 4K Mini... dont get me wrong it's still good fun flying it.
Ooooh - do you know - I had that in my draft for this vid, but it didn't make it in as it was a little 'too' niche. So VERY good question! 👏👏👏 I tried it by plugging the USB-C lav mic into the USB-C on the goggles and seeing if it came though on the screen recording - and unfortunately not. Didn't magically go through to the Neo either, but that wasn't really a surprise! So you're left with recording your audio independently of your Drone or goggles, either by using my preferred method - ie internal recording on the DJI Mic 2 (or another mic that does that) OR if you don't have one of them you *could* use a lav mic connected to your phone either wirelessly or via USB-C / Lightning and then set a voice recording going and sync it up later in post using the clapping method. There's a vid on the channel where I fly the Avata 2 with my son and I there's some sync going on there using the internal DJI Mic 2 recording and a lav mic attached to it. ua-cam.com/video/NwdzaxSaolI/v-deo.html Thanks for your question MrP! 🖖
Unfortunately the Mic Mini doesn't have internal recording like the Mic 2, so you would need to buy it with the receiver and then plug that into your phone to record the audio using a voice recording app or just get the mic itself and connect via bluetooth to your phone 🖖

Any tips on recording audio whilst using the goggles n3 with the neo?
