I'm actually GLAD Netflix dropped her show. I don't like Netflix and wasn't about to pay to continue keeping Netflix after the free trial. It actually worked out because now more people can watch Christine and be exposed to her ingenuity without having a Netflix subscription. She was better and above Netflix.
Netflix has been slacking so bad lately. They cut your show and others that actually were good to watch. My 9 year old cried when I told her your show was canceled because she loved rose.
Netflix doesn't seem to like or encourage niche entertainment?! The show would have taken off IF they were given a second season to grow a little more & develope. Too many wonderful things are shut down just as they begin to shine. We're all stuck with shitty 'reboots' & 'old movies'. Maybe someone else will see the show & give it another go? If not, UA-cam baby!!
My youngest and I watched the series probably half a dozen times together. She is a big Rose fan too and LOVES TO bake and craft. Christine is her hero.
So when reading into the cancellation of BoJack Horseman and all of the giant list of other extremely popular main stream shows they cancelled, Jessica Jones, Marco Polo, Luke Cage, Daredevil, ECT. Netflix is having some budget issues.
But Netflix does make and support niche contact more so then traditional television or Hollywood, like Special a show about an LGBTQ main character who is physically disabled. Like They also promoted the crap out of it.
They made BoJack Horseman, who knew what kind of appeal that would have when it started.
Frankie and Grace, a comedy show about women over the age of 70 dealing with sex and romance and has amazing elderly LGBTQ+ characters.
Master of none a comedy series about the romance of an Indian American guy.
Atypical about an autistic teenager, trying to figure out dating.
She-Ra a children's show that has LGBTQ+ characters.

Orange is the New Black, when it first came out....
Network/cable TV doesn't though these ideas. Like Netflix shows us and stars representation of characters network TV and hollywood would never even think about. Like in ways that people don't think about them ever living their lives, like people with disabilities dating.
They also funded this show in the first place and they probably didn't see enough people watching it, like they do still need to make money. They probably didn't advertise for it either but also couldn't figure out how to. Like adult puppets DIYs dark humor kink, I'm in love with it and I don't really know how to sell it to my friends besides saying just watch this. I just found this show 2 weeks ago and I'm mad I didn't know sooner. Was the audience spreading word of mouth either?
I would also argue that UA-cam is a better platform for super niche contact, but Netflix still does support it. Yes there has been lots of demonetization and other issues, no place is prefect but the contract can still get out there.

@@alenemarie Yeah they still seem to be the best of the paid streaming services though considering Hulu is owned by Disney and evil Monopoly who like killed copyright law for the worst of everyone. And prime is owned by Jeff Bezos. And UA-cam premium is owned by Google, another Monopoly.
So the Netflix seems to be least evil.
PBS passport is probably the most wholesome streaming service considering it's a $5 a month donation to your local PBS station...

The night before my breast tumor surgery, i couldn’t sleep and i binged watched all the series and that help so much; and the fear just disappeared, and at some point i fell asleep. Thank you so much for made that fantastic series
Them acting as their characters was HILARIOUS! Rose's actress washing her paws while eating grossly and Rankel's actor hissing had me crying!

Netflix could have put a better thumbnail for your netflix show, adverse and marketing needed to step up. Hoping for season 2 STILL
It didn't even advertise it to me. I only knew about it, because of someone on a page talking about it.
It was suggested but the thumbnail was unappealing and unrelated to the true nature of the show . put a pick of Christine , she is the aesthetic.

I skipped her show all the time because I hated the thumbnail...such regret after finding her here.
my nephew always wanted to watch it but i didnt know exactly what it was so i skipped over it. it turned out to be a little too adult anyways with the puppets. but i enjoyed it myself.

That line from the cat in response to killing with kindness was the ENTIRE reason I watched the show. I saw it on the preview and was hooked.
I still remember how much I enjoyed that one joke when I first hear it.
Christine didn’t have to go this hard and yet she did, because she’s an angel. I loved this so much
To have a host like Christine, offering drinks & treats. I immediately fell in love with her just saying "Should I go get your more lace?"
I'm hardly mesmerized by people but this lady has such an amazing aura around her that I just can't help it

i was understandably upset when i found out that netflix cancelled your show, but then when i discovered your youtube channel it became incredibly apparent that you had a ton of creative control over the series. so while i'm sure the funding you received from netflix was nothing to laugh at, i'm glad to see that they weren't really responsible for the essence of the show because it makes it possible for you to simply continue with your vision on your youtube channel.
i'd much rather creators like yourself be in control of your art and vision and i'm so happy that patreon has allowed you the freedom to do precisely that! thank you for all of your hard work and for sharing your skills and gifts and talents with all of us.
Hearing them talk about all the ideas they had for the second season makes me sad. I really want a second season to see all those ideas.They are amazing!
I will never understand why Netflix continues to make loads of subpar content yet cancels this amazing, unique show. WHY?

Perhaps too magical (magical meaning: beautiful or delightful in such a way as to seem removed from everyday life.) for netflix. Hope someone else realizes what a gem you are / the show / and a new series can be produced - and adored. Loved the Christmas get together and behind the scenes visit with the talented and cool, crew! Merry Christmas to you and your little creatures.
They have the show Sabrina the Teenage Witch now and she's part devil. I don't think the magic is the problem. And that she'll got two seasons.

The show was getting better with every episode. I can’t remember laughing so wholeheartedly during a cooking show.
I loved seeing everyone from the show and hearing all the behind the scenes stories. All the little in-jokes were fun, too! I gotta say, your friend Kate is awesome in this video. You should have her on more!

Saw this on Christmas Eve, in bed, snuggling with my dog all cozy and warm. This episode ooozed warmth, loved seeing you Christine and everyone who was part of the show. My Christmas wish.........Damn it Netflix bring back the show!!! In the meantime, I really, really appreciate these You Tube videos.

Let me be the first to say... (scrolls down)... let me be the 500th to say this show needs a second season! This is so much more than a crafting show. It's pretty much a health and wellness series dressed up with really good crafts. Bring Christine back!

I absolutely loved the Netflix show, it made me so happy every time I watched. This series makes me feel warm and cozy and feels so personal and lovely. It has a lot to do with the aesthetics, but also I feel it helps you don’t have a corporate team looking over your shoulder at every turn.
Still haven’t given up hope on a second season!!!

This was both beautiful and bittersweet. The show was absolutely amazing and so many of us were huge fans. Maybe we should all rally together and start a petition for a second season. Or at least maybe a movie special. So much love and friendship went into this and it deserves at least a proper send off. The k you all for making such a great show. ❤

Netflix needs to get there head out there ass and bring back your show. If they would have advertise it at all we would still have your show on the air. I love and miss the show and hope they put out another season or someone else pick it up.

If we can't have season 2 atleast we have closure 😊 it's funny I was literally rewatching the series today while cooking so this was a wonderful surprise. Really it sets a good vibe for Christmas.

I was absolutely heartbroken when I heard that there wasn't going to be a second season. It was such a fun and creative show, and really spoke to the weird little kid I used to be (and still am).

Well, she plays very skillfully on her sex-appeal, in a way that always remains tasteful and whimsical! It made complete sense to see Dita Von Tease make an appearance on the show, they share that same 1940's sensual energy. She plays the dangerous femme fatale... don't be surprised if she ties you to the bedframe! 😂

Not a word of a lie, my favorite line from the show was Ranckle (I think I spelled his name right) saying "that takes so long!" After Christine says "kill th em with kindness" my husband and I quote it at each other all the time.

What a colorful group of talented people!! I honestly /adored/ the show and was very sad to see it discontinued. My favorite part was that scene between Christine and Rose after her birthday party. It was so sweet and it just felt very special.

Its 2023..and my whole family re-watches the show at least once a year still..And probably will forever. I wish SO badly they'd bring it back!! But im so thankful that i've found this channel and we still can get our "Christine McConnell fix"...

This was great!!! Rose is my spirit animal. “Hello pumpkins!!” is one of my favorite moments in the show. I love how it just translated that pure joy you feel in the moment. Such a fantastic show. 💙
I remember watching the show back in college in October and now I would watch it every time or if it’s spooky month. My favorite episode from the show would be when she met the serial killer as she was having a picnic in the graveyard at her grandma’s grave because in a way it was romantic for her to have a guy who appreciates her creepy style. I loved every episode of her crafting, sewing, and cooking so many things. I hope someday a season 2 will come.
This was great! I love all these people! The Netflix show was truly enjoyable...And although a ton of work went into the first season, in a way it was just getting started! I for one will always be a fan of that show, and Christine McConnell. Merry Christmas to you all!
I would burn a house down to be invited to this shin dig. Beyond the obvious charm and style of the house, Christine seems like a really lovely, warm, funny person who would make a really great friend.
Plus, like, OBV the ridiculously cool cocktails would be a win.
What a fun group of people to hang out with and share stories. This was so enjoyable to watch. Never say never about a Season 2. And Kate Pierovitch is a hoot! She and Colleen are a riot.

I fell in love with the show the moment I saw the little teaser on Netflix. Something about it just spoke to the person I am and I keep under wraps some, so to speak. I had my mom (whom I take care) watch it with me and she didn't understand it at first, but seeing my light up watching it opened her eyes to the person I am. We've actually talked about me making like the eye ball cookies and taking them to family functions because that is something I would do like making her red velvet frog pops for her birthday this year.
I would have loved to see a season two. Like many I had been hoping for a season two. But in the end I was able to see that I'm not alone in the macabre things I enjoy. Finding you helped me to embrace who I really am and not care what others think about it. Thank you and Happy Holidays!
It may because I’m on day two of my period, but this made me cry. This show was amazing and Christine is an absolute gem and deserves so much more. Not that UA-cam isn’t great but there’s not many people who have her eye and what she does and is an art.
Loved the show, it needs to come back. I still watch it once in awhile on Netflix. If they ever take it off completely, I will miss it. A second season would have been great to have. Btw, @ Colleen Smith, you are perfect just the way you are. Don’t let anyone tell you any different. Your humor and honesty is infectious and it’s an endearing thing as well.

Was a cute show, I don't understand why Netflix did not renew? They have a lot of less clever shows still on. I don't watch Netflix much any more. But I watch you on You tube. As far as acting, not too many can play the strait- man like Christine. Thanks for all the fun

Christine, this was an absolute joy to watch! I mean for goodness sakes, the Henson Company thought it was a brilliant idea to make this show! I for one adore it and, like many others commenting, was disappointed when it was cancelled. I hope you have had a lovely Christmastide thus far!

Netflix did not appreciate your vision or magic. Next up Christine creates a gothic masquerade where all the characters come to life! ( just a suggestion)

I loved the show Christine, Netflix doesn't know how much we need a show like it. The imagination and hilarity of each creator/actor/staff is admirable.
The amount of times I've rewatched the entirety of this show is insane. I always hope it will be revived one day with a company that will appreciate its brilliance.
