Its Funny because in SW:TOR there was this one Ship which was stuck for about a few centuries and it looked in worse shape than theirs and theirs is thousands of years old. From the get go the whole show requires you to suspense your Inteligence to enjoy it
Imagine the "target audience" : Woke liberal western diverse pre-teens who are nerdy and enjoy SciFi or star wars, with a deep appreciation for the 80s. Wtf is this "audience" man. How many if any are out there.
Hey, lets Insert a current day remix 80’s classic rock/pop song for nostalgia points. signed, every Disney Marvel, Lucasfilm movie trailer ever. signed, creatively bankrupt
Many have said this is the Goonies but in Star Wars. If I wanted to watch something like that I’ll just watch the Goonies movie itself at least I know that’s actually good. But yeah I haven’t watched anything new from Disney since Mando season 3 and this show is not gonna change that
That's one of the things that bothers me about modern franchises. They have to have a reference or play something out just like another franchise or attempting to top it's own franchise. The Acolyte was said to "be like The Matrix" and attempted to top the duel in TPM. Fuck off with that crap!
Hey Script Trooper, if you look at the credits the kid is holding it has galactic republic logo not the old republic one. So they may just be referring to the clone wars era republic.
It sounds like the girl is trying to be the next Millie Bobby Brown. 9:27 Does anybody remember the movie Space Camp? If they don't explain the location of the settlement in the story some adults could be lost because we're not just people who sit there and consume whatever Lucasfilm throws at us. I'm guessing that maybe Jude Law's character needs a spaceship and he isn't the type of person who just is going to throw these kids in the trash. It would be better if his character was on a secret mission for the New Republic and these kids help him return with vital information for the new Republic....
This is everything I thought Disney would do to ruin Star Wars but it took a while to get this aweful. If they just repressed the old films every ten years and had limited merch they would have made back the investment. Now the brand is dead. No one talks about these shows except to complain
From the preview the show could be any IP, nothing in it looked like starwars. Looks like at a board meeting a manager said " Stranger things is popular. We need something popular. Let's copy it."
Your problem is you're trying to make logical sense of it. You're supposed to accept what they show you and not think so much. Also, the pirate voice is not the droid - it's the pirate who escaped from The Mandalorian season 3
The first trailer reminded me of Joe Dante's Explorers. This one, look at it and watch a Guardians of the Galaxy trailer. The titles on screen look similar. You have a song instead of score.
No voyeuristic Sith Lords, Jedi Masters with a penchant for whipping apprentices for no reason or becoming obsessed with eight year old girls or a weeny white boy Padawans that look like they want to pee their pants when talking to the show runner's wife on-screen. Or the senate looking like a costume party but they bought them for two bucks at the nearest cheap shop.
At this point it's impossible to come to any other conclusion than the decline is not just voluntary, but deeply desired. Corporate art has never been this repulsive.
When’s Andor season 2. Also Andor didn’t copy GOT tiny gilroy wrote it and he’s all about dialogue politics and monologues and GOT was long over and had a terrible rep when Andor was being produced so no they definitely didn’t copy it that’s ridiculous
Why are there ipads in the duhsney Star Wars universe? Is it a data sheet with pictures? Did they jump to hyperspace from the planet surface? I hate the sequels. 😢😢

I don't like using earth music in a franchise that is set far away from our galaxy or anything, not in this, not in other Star Wars show, not in fantasy world and so on, it is lazy and takes me out of it, so yeah
This show reminds me of so many things except Star Wars
“Star Wars: Detention” 😂
The Star Wars ship has sailed. It’s over
since 1999
Its Funny because in SW:TOR there was this one Ship which was stuck for about a few centuries and it looked in worse shape than theirs and theirs is thousands of years old.
From the get go the whole show requires you to suspense your Inteligence to enjoy it
You mean you have to suspend belief to enjoy FANTASY? Shocking!
This looks like a fun, adventureous, 80s Amblin style kind of show that all of us nostalgics can appreciate and enjoy. Not a Star Wars show though.
It felt like a discount Guardians of the Galaxy.
Exactly. Even the titles on screen looked similar.
It's just going to be a fun little space adventure and Jude law is in it who is a underrated actor
I sincerely hope so.
This is not Star Wars. It's a space show for kids. NOT Star Wars.
Absolutely retarded comment. George Lucas created a space show...for kids...
I guess you don’t know what Star Wars is. It’s a space show made for kids.
It was inspired by Flash Gordon.
You have outgrown fun. Outgrown Star Wars.
@@j.j.herrick6871 exactly

Dozens!😊
@gregmize01 at most
Hey, lets Insert a current day remix 80’s classic rock/pop song for nostalgia points. signed, every Disney Marvel, Lucasfilm movie trailer ever. signed, creatively bankrupt
If it turns out the same people that did the trailers for Guardians of the Galaxy did this trailer, I won't be surprise.
Many have said this is the Goonies but in Star Wars. If I wanted to watch something like that I’ll just watch the Goonies movie itself at least I know that’s actually good. But yeah I haven’t watched anything new from Disney since Mando season 3 and this show is not gonna change that

Or Explorers.

Maybe he found those credits aboard that ship or inside that hatch?
It sounds like the girl is trying to be the next Millie Bobby Brown. 9:27 Does anybody remember the movie Space Camp? Now this is the kind of questioning that helps!
Disney show pitch- Hear me out......"Ferris Bueller's Day Off...with Lightsabers!" 😂
Indiana Jones with a Raider of Jedi and Sith tombs. Who is not a good or evil character. Somone morally grey.
@@matthewgaudet4064already been done to death
2 mins in, and you're tearing it apart. You haven't watched 10 seconds yet. Let me go look for an objective reaction.
I think the kid triggered something that just autopilots its way home
Doesn't work.
That's why they need a decent story.
This is everything I thought Disney would do to ruin Star Wars but it took a while to get this aweful. If they just repressed the old films every ten years and had limited merch they would have made back the investment. Now the brand is dead. No one talks about these shows except to complain
You are lost for words, Script! LOL
I just can’t figure out what these could possibly be thinking.
Instead of galaxy far far away, it's 1980s earth now?
ITS A HIDDEN PLANET. (PLOT ARMOR)
From the preview the show could be any IP, nothing in it looked like starwars. Looks like at a board meeting a manager said " Stranger things is popular. We need something popular. Let's copy it."
Goonies in Space
Remember the 80's?????????????????????
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
its a hidden planet LOL
Your problem is you're trying to make logical sense of it. You're supposed to accept what they show you and not think so much.
Also, the pirate voice is not the droid - it's the pirate who escaped from The Mandalorian season 3
How do you encourage interest if you don't question it?
We aren't shills after all!
Well, that’s depressing.
Wow, you actually complemented something from Disney Star Wars
They still don't understand science fiction.
This is supposed to be Star Wars not set on Earth!
There needs to be a decent story and this isn't that.
Goonies are good enough, this isn't Star Wars, Star Wars is dead.
The first trailer reminded me of Joe Dante's Explorers. This one, look at it and watch a Guardians of the Galaxy trailer. The titles on screen look similar. You have a song instead of score.
They try to link this to the Acolyte, then they are SO dead!

"If you see this" was that the woman from Andor?
I probably won’t be watching this.
You could slap any generic, sci-fi title on this and it wouldn't change a thing.
MEGASONIC TEENAGE ALIENS LOST IN GOONIES SPACE BECAUSE THE GALATIC BABYSITTERS DEAD
Eh..............................................the OT wasn't kid centered at all, except for maybe Yoda. But...I kinda get your point.
At this point it's impossible to come to any other conclusion than the decline is not just voluntary, but deeply desired. Corporate art has never been this repulsive.
And people think this looks good...smh 😭🤣🤣🤣
Lost in Space for kids.
They remade guardians of the galaxy. Just not as fun or funny, or interesting.
Those other shows are awful, the writing is abysmal.
I agree they need to stop copying other shows, but until they take risks this won't change.
if they just make new Star Wars like old Star Wars then how are they taking any risks?
Ultimately Star Wars was character driven. Take risks but give us good characters.
It's ferris buelrs day off in a galaxy far far away. ..its so stupid it could be fun maybe
Sincerely hope it is.
When’s Andor season 2. Also Andor didn’t copy GOT tiny gilroy wrote it and he’s all about dialogue politics and monologues and GOT was long over and had a terrible rep when Andor was being produced so no they definitely didn’t copy it that’s ridiculous
I agree that does sound better wished they paid attention to that!
Heavily influenced by its success.
@ I don’t see how it’s anything like GOT other than there’s politicking which Tony has specialized in long before GOT
Why are there ipads in the duhsney Star Wars universe?
Is it a data sheet with pictures?
Did they jump to hyperspace from the planet surface?
I hate the sequels.
😢😢
The problem with all these beloved ips
Is nobody making this stuff is a fan of the ip
Its just make generic show
Slap ip on it
It will be great
No its not great
And without passion for what u are making its never ever going to be great
As long as disney has control over starwars and marvel you can write these Ips off
Same with gunn and the dcu
Its dead till someone who cares takes over
Elephant stolen from music video of Ariana Grande - Break Free
This is how I feel about the last of us game. It felt like I played it 100 times before. Lame.
Shameless ripoff of the goonies and Indiana Jones
I don't like using earth music in a franchise that is set far away from our galaxy or anything, not in this, not in other Star Wars show, not in fantasy world and so on, it is lazy and takes me out of it, so yeah
More fake star wars. A skin suit on top of copies and retreads
I get that hate sells clicks, but y'all are just trying way too hard now, and it painfully shows.
Bunch of middle aged blokes whinging about a star wars kids show, c'mon really??
