The fact of the Mexican Men fishing or drug smugglers even do they didn't feel sympathy for him because they can't understand him but he cry they put a blanket to comfort him, they take him to town and people approach him clapping, because they were not able to communicate with him, it shows the heart of Mexicans..No not all of them are criminals I wonder how many of us have done the same thing if we so a latino in need.

Both Jim and Jens played their part in avoiding a tragedy. Jim took the plane back up to the storm to lose speed, risking a stall and certain death, but the gamble paid off and to have got that plane down as he did in strong winds and very rough water without a break-up of the aircraft and all unharmed is a staggering feat. Then over to Jens. Great stuff, two fine brave young men...

What you did to save your friend and your fathers speaks of extraordinary bravery and strength of will and body! Few will ever do what you did, let alone do it successfully and live to tell the tale.
It's great that your father now values and appreciates you and is able to let you know. If for some reason any family member still doesn't appreciate you and your value as a son and human being - that's *their* failure, never yours. I imagine many people wouldn't be that honest about their underlying motives beyond survival and "I did what I had to do". Your friendship with Jim seems epic in the literal sense of the word.
Major kudos to you for your strength, courage and thanks for your willingness to let us be spectators in your tale. Few people can claim they did something truly heroic. You can. It's also awesome that you braved the comments on here and I for one am glad of it. Stay safe and have a wonderful life! Greetings from Germany and the best of luck to you and yours.

It's heartbreaking that these mean didn't feel loved by their fathers or that they were proud of them. Glad to see a happy ending.

I'm glad that everyone made it through this ordeal OK. That said, rule #1 for a safe flight: Check the weather forecast, check the weather forecast, check the weather forecast, check the weather forecast ... and then check it again. Never fly into weather you aren't sure you can handle, and always have an alternate airport at which you can land if weather threatens to overtake you.
