Lynne the rolling pin hitting the table sounds just like my moms when she made dumplings. She made them so thin only difference in yours and hers she left hers in strips. Love them very much. ❤
Wow. Another home run my friend!! Thank you for showing how to not only do dumplings right, but quick too! I also struggled for years but now I know i can do it because I've been taught ny the best. It's helpful to know you rode the struggle bus too. LOL Please tell Andy hi from Texas. ❤ Cassandra
My grandson loves chicken and dumplings so I'm going to try this, so quick. I personally don't like chicken and dumplings. Mushy chicken just doesn't appeal to me but this way I'm thinking I just might like so I'm going to give it a go. I just love the stuff you come up with...🤩
If you brown your chicken in butter first. It won’t be mushy like if it is boiled. I don’t care for boiled chicken either. That’s why I do them this way.
I was going to tell you how i like the way you use your sink, throughout the meal preparation. Then you brought out your Momma's dish towel, that tells the rest of the story. Great looking meal.
The thing is. I can have a spotless kitchen when I clean up After supper and then before I go to bed (I have not been back in the kitchen) I have a sink full Of dirty dishes. That get to stay until morning!!!
@@lgougeinthekitchen I clean as I go, and I feel like I'm doing dishes all day. I would like to do it your way, I just keep forgetting... I have a bad memory.
Would you consider making a video on pantry mixes. I was thinking of time saving dry premixes for pancakes, biscuits, cornbread, I think having premixes already made in storage jars would be great to have on hand.
I have tried making dumplings with all-purpose flour, butter and milk but my husband complained because they were salt less. I went back to uses Self rising flour. And I love the thin dumplings but it didn't work out for my husband. It clearly needed salt. I told myself if I ever try the AP method again, I'll put salt in the batter.
Just add salt and maybe some pepper to your flour mixture for your dumplings. Even add some chicken bouillon to give them more flavor. They would be delicious!!!
I kinda wonder why the milk was added. Never did that. Think I will try it next time I make dumplings. My mother added milk when she heated left over dumplings

My hubby loves suet mix dumplings in chicken stew!
His late Grandma Flo taught him how to make them…it’s one of his specialties now! 😂👍
Love me some Chicken and dumplings ❤
Me too!!! Always been one of my favorite things!!!
Game changer by adding some knorr to ur dough. I got the idea from the lady who won “ Best chicken & dumplings “ one year. I enjoy ur videos.
I bet that would be good. I will try that.

I’m so glad it helped you!! I struggled for years too!!!
Hey Lynne. My Grandma Itly was full blooded Italian, and this is the same way she did her dumplings. Looks delish. TFS God Bless.
Ahh thank you. It’s one of our favorite comfort foods!!!

I didn’t grow up on these so just recently I’ve seen a lot of videos on them. Yours is very good. Yum.
You will LOVE them. You need to give them a try. 😋😋
Looks so good. ❤❤❤❤

I will think on it. I don’t use a lot of premix stuff. I purchase pancake mix and seasonings premixed or just mix as I go 🤭

We just like creamy broth on our dumplings. It’s just a personal preference. Most people do not add it. But my mother always did. 😉
Hey have you ever started with can chicken? I don’t always have fresh or frozen but always have can.
I have used can chicken. It works well. I don’t typically have canned chicken But I do keep cooked frozen shredded and it works well too!!!
