You could stay there for a while. While Lord Royce might not want to go to war with the Boltons, you are still kin. His daughter has been taken to wife against her will and presumably been 🍇. He'll want to answer that. Perhaps it just will take a while. Try to get contracts, walk around the Vale, gathering money, bribe him with gifts, keep swaying him, etc... Artos just met his family after what feels like an eternity, i don't think hell just go back to wandering after that. Maybe do some local contracts, go to Gullltown and slowly win yiur grandfather over.
If you're looking for allies, the Blackfyres or Targaryens might support you if you bend the knee. Getting the North under control would be a boon for either dragon in their fratricidal war.
@@EpicBurrittoThey only really became independent though when the Boltons slaughtered the starks if I’m not mistaken? It could be negotiated I believe through vassal contracts and role played that they make a deal to allow for more autonomy in the north with the the Blackfyres on the throne. I imagine many in the north arnt happy with the Targaryens allowing the boltons to just get away with what they’ve done to the starks, but that’s just my take on it.
Grampa Robar seems like an interesting character. On one hand, he is a dutiful, authoritarian sadist; on the other, a learned theologian. Lawful Evil at its finest. He might not care about his daughter or his grandson on an emotional level, but he might well see their plight as an insult that demands retribution. As you said, he does not seem like he would agree to help until Artos has proven himself capable. It might take you a while of doing contracts in the area before the patron is amenable, so don't skedaddle too hastily.
Well you could at least stay in the Vale trying to convince Robar until Artie comes of age, it hadnt been that long and I don’t think Artie would give up so easily after doing so much to just get there
If you want, the Wipe Slate decision allows you to lose Gallowsbait. That way you can use the game mechanics/story to redeem yourself without manipulating it yourself, if Artos's story goes that way.
I like how this feels like a DND band going on an adventure. But for real, others mentioned this, but it can be expanded to landing not just wildlings but also hillmen and even unlanded houses, as the Starks gave land to the Manderlys. So, in exchange for support, you can land houses from land taken from the Red Beards and traitors during the Civil War or get their support in exchange for helping; for example, the Stormlanders, such as House Baratheon, get their land back from the Black Fyre host. You can also justify a diverse army, as instead of invaders, they're part of a broad coalition of liberators, so you can have the giants, stormlander heavy units, and Vale knights as part of their individual hosts, such as the Baratheon host for example. So you can find allies in southern houses. Still, ultimately, you can get various men at arms and then get support from northern houses with concessions, use their loyalty, and maybe find a way to get "favorable" leaders or houses in power and threaten the power of "less favorable" leaders and houses by sabotaging their lands so when the Civil War comes even if you are unlucky with southern allies you can do actions in the North to win the Civil War. These are just some ideas I am spitballing, but ultimately, I am enjoying the series so far and hope it will not face many roadblocks to its progression.
Stay with the Royce’s try to win over your grandfather. Karstarks are a good backup plan. Orrrrrr you could go to the Neck and get the Reeds on your side. I’m sure they have some unique men at arms and they’re a part of the North!
Maybe have a look at the Blackwoods for support? They have historical marriage ties with the Starks and believe in the Old Gods. This is only if they have the traits for it to make sense of course.
karstarks i think should be easy to pursade, but the others i dont think so, cuz you gotta imagine the boltons are doing some crazy scare tactics to keeps the north in check, like when ramsey took the north every person with a brain was scared of the guy but i think the really old lords that served under the father of artos would be extreemly loyal and would seek any chance to help artos, also i dont remember how the boltons took the throne but if it was anything like the red wedding surley the boltons had to kill a few other northman nobles that were in winterfell, probbably some sons of the northern lord were slaughtered in defense of the stark family and the lord would be eager to avenge them
Episode 3 is here can not wait to see episode 4 and i have to say this series in terms of it's story is truly interesting is pretty much the story of daenerys there is even a mormont but is a stark and is in the north and also can you look once a while at the rest of the seven kingdoms and what the major characters are doing like king maekar i can see a scenario it which you help king maekar against the balckfyre and he help you against the boltons
If you can’t get Grandpa to come to his senses, then the blackfyre king would maybe be a good shot to try, with pledging support for him and his claim on the Iron Throne and being a loyal warden of the north to help push his claim. Honestly the more I think about it this makes the most sense and I see no reason why the Blackfyres wouldn’t go for it, there could be the stipulation that he may first want you to help him get the iron throne maybe instead of the other way around. I’m really enjoying this series and the challenges of it, hope it goes on for a long while.
Best curry together a force of willing supporters from the Vale, the Sisters, the Riverlands, the North, the Iron Isles, and Beyond the Wall! The North awaits for the righteous Wolflord Lad, lest the Bolton gives up all to the Winter!
The manderlys also owe a lot to the starks so they might be a possible ally and starting your conquest of the north from white harbor with the manderlys at your back could be sick
I think Artos should try to ally the iron islands and some smaller lords in the riverlands and the vale. It would be useful to go to the diplomacy lifestyle and get the perk where you can negotiate alliances and negotiate one with the Greyjoys and get a marriage pact with the blackwoods cause you might be able to negotiate a alliance with the Royces so there is no reason to double down on the Royce support with a marriage.
Marry into the karstarks you should already have royces support through your mother. Between them and the manderlys you have a real shot at taking back the north.
I know the point of this series is to reconquer the North, but a part of me thinks it would be pretty funny if you stayed in the Vale and eventually become king of the Vale. Like instead of the Vale of Arryn, it's the Vale of Stark!
I think going to lord Arryn is a good move to start building up a good relationship. Otherwise I would talk to either the Targaryen or Blackfyre factions and offer fealty for an alliance to retake the north. But the first move should be to secure your own forces of westerosi troops
Once you start building an army moving camp gets real expensive!! beware. also theres a decision i think to redeem urself. i think you could set up a good scenario if u get manderly and karstark to back a claimant faction...
You should try to support the blackfyres since both of you have something to gain from an alliance and it could give you a failsafe to fall back on for each other for the continuation of your houses. Not only that but it's more likely they would accept you and see the advantage to an alliance though marriage than the Targaryens
Can you add some type of mod that stops specific people from dying like the boltons for example if they just die all of a sudden kinda ruins the story, but regardless still entertaining just want to see you get revenge on him not his descendants.
Maybe try to marry into the Lannisters? Gather support and convince them that they can take the Iron Throne. After which, they would recognize the North as an independent kingdom. I would imagine they would think the current situation with the Blackfyres and Targaryens is destabilizing the realm. Kind of a "It's bad for business" sort of deal.

The northmen wouldnt be happy that a Stark would take away their independence and involve them in southern politics again.

I love how Artos esesntially raised himself but still turned out to be a pretty nice guy
Well you could at least stay in the Vale trying to convince Robar until Artie comes of age, it hadnt been that long and I don’t think Artie would give up so easily after doing so much to just get there

These videos need to be longer
Allies could be the Blackwood's, Manderley's, Umbers, Reeds, Dustin's, Glover
Technically if you're in wildling territory you're not poaching

to take some inspiration from the books, marry Artos to Lysara Karstark to gain northern loyalty
Best curry together a force of willing supporters from the Vale, the Sisters, the Riverlands, the North, the Iron Isles, and Beyond the Wall!
The North awaits for the righteous Wolflord Lad, lest the Bolton gives up all to the Winter!
I think the arryns are worth a try.
Lord manderly seems like a person who will join when he is sure that you are the winning side
The north will likely not like a boy raised beyond the wall, or a poacher. Perhaps it’s smart to marry to solidify the north
Watching these on my other monitor while I work on my final paper for a class! Really makes me want to play the AGOT mod again :,)
The manderlys also owe a lot to the starks so they might be a possible ally and starting your conquest of the north from white harbor with the manderlys at your back could be sick

Been watching since the Blackwood series and subbed since around the same time, you were my top gaming creator this year. Keep up the good work!
Glad you made a new story I was enjoying the black company one but after Luther died it killed all the enjoyment
Marry into the karstarks you should already have royces support through your mother. Between them and the manderlys you have a real shot at taking back the north.
Why not the Blackwoods? Maybe the Tullys?
BROOO a minute ago I though it would be awesome if you uploaded and here you upload :D
Time to Sympathize with the Blackfyres

You should marry into the Targaryens and get the blood of the dragon
Once you start building an army moving camp gets real expensive!! beware. also theres a decision i think to redeem urself. i think you could set up a good scenario if u get manderly and karstark to back a claimant faction...
you deserve more subs 🙏
i so wish i could play this character and setup as a bookmark!
also, did you custom create the characters you started your camp with?
Try to win Grandpa Royce over or make an, in-story, alliance with one of your uncles who might be more willing to support you
How do we request to get a character in one your series again?
You should try to support the blackfyres since both of you have something to gain from an alliance and it could give you a failsafe to fall back on for each other for the continuation of your houses. Not only that but it's more likely they would accept you and see the advantage to an alliance though marriage than the Targaryens
Wait why did that guy stop being the caravan master?
You should check out house moremont as there loyal to the starks
✨Cheese✨
Here is an angry comment to further the UA-cam algorithm! I am enraged! I am engaging! Grrr!
you need to increase your prowess
Like & Subscribe guys I want a lot of episodes 😂😂

Why don’t you try to marry into blackfyre for the alliance

go black fire pledge and allegiance to the Black Fire host
