@@bobblesb9766 Yea same thing. I had to look it up. It's not like an American biscuit, biscuit in the UK are like hard cookies. Cookies in the UK are biscuits that are a little soft inside or chewy. American biscuits are more like our scones but a little different, often served with jam and cream or as cheese scones which are scones with cheese inside or ontop.
The menu 12 mcw, the breakfast skillet, is by far one of the best rations ive had. Today i tried a us mre menu 20, the older #20 that was the hash browns with bacon, it hands down was the best us mre ive ever had. They are getting harder to find though. I think they made the change in 2020 to the Italian sausage menu
had some of the scrambled eggs w/bacon out of the camp food section. that one pouch did not go over well with me. have several more in the camp food. now powdered eggs taste better than freeze dried. on to bill's brew, this coffee got me into coffee. have not drank coffee for 50+ yrs. mix the hot chocolate with the coffee. when i make a 8oz cup coffee, i wind up with 32 ozs. of drink. served cold. the only problem with doing powdered eggs is when mixed up you have raw egg, so it needs to be cooked. hit the salad section for the small bags of bacon.
Thanks for another video. Steve has said to use about 1/2 the amount of water it calls for with the MCW. At least you know for the future now 😉 Thanks again!
Good afternoon from the Great State of Texas. I have eaten those eggs and they are not to bad. But the eggs need ketchup and hot sauce. Good review, keep the video's coming.
Glad that you enjoyed the blueberries. The first generation of freeze-dried fruit included in commercially-available food products was AWFUL - the texture was spongy and there wasn't much flavor. The current generation is great!
I have watched many MCW reviews and I’ve asked the question each time. “Why don’t MCW have FRH and bags for mixing liquids”? Both could be used to melt snow/heat required water since you have no mess equipment or other means to do so.
I’d love to get my hands on some european cold weather packs they fascinate me .. Also …. Cocoa beverage powder cold is the best .. that’s what sparked my casual fascination with MREs as a child in the early -mid 90s
The mountain house breakfast skillet meal is on point
Thanks!
Thanks brother! You're my first ever "Super Thanks"
Thanks Readi .. all that looks good and i love the fig bars ! Thanks for showing.
In the UK we have a soft biscuit called a fig roll, they are really damn nice. I can eat a whole packet no problem in a single sitting.
Is that like a US fig newton?
Also when you say biscuit is that the same as a cookie? Or like a biscuit?

I love fig rolls! But they have to be the cheapest ones like 50p ones, they're the best 😂
We call them fig newtons
Nice review I will have to try this one.

My dad worked for the company that makes mountain house and he told me most of those you leave out about on ounce of water.
I pretty much always use a little less.
I. Love. MCDubs. They're one ration I'm always so excited to eat on the trail

Cold weather rations are the best
Man that was a goodlooking meal !
Nice review. Blessings 🙏🏼👍🏼
Do you have any gravy packets. You can also put gravy on the eggs.
I love fig Newtons also
Not a fan of freeze dried eggs but looked good.
