I love that you take a moment after biting into something before making a judgment, also love that you don't pretend to like everything. I always look forward to your content. Cheers
Exactly! And not like some others I’ve seen who are trying something new to them and are like, “WTF is-“ GULP (HUGE BITE or Entire item) “-WAS that??!” No respect! Respect the food! Give food a chance! Lol 😂
It is one of my dreams to visit Japan. Until then I will continue to binge watch every vlog you do in Japan! Thank you for bringing us along on all of your amazing travels.
Mikey uuuugh I’ve been waiting for your hot oil for soooo long I’m so excited! Glad to see you’re still working on it! I’ll be one of your first customers. I got massively into hot oil because of you, I can’t wait to see what a hot oil you yourself reccomend will be like~
I ALWAYS watch your video's but typically don't comment. I had to though after seeing the Veggie restaurant. Those sauteed mushrooms and the cabbage with the cream sauce looked AMAZING! Would love to try those!!!
I seriously LOVE your Japan Seven-Eleven, and Lawson food videos so much! Idk why they are just so entertaining to watch. Would love another full episode on one of them
I absolutely love your channel! After losing all major food travel hosts on cable TV (Andrew Zimmerman, Anthony bourdain, and many others) I am so happy to have you still traveling and doing what you do! Thank you
How can you not love family mart?? I have you never tried their hot foods?! The croquettes and famichiki (fried chicken) is what I come back to Japan for!
Mikey what a amazing video..The food was delicious from the Yakisoba to the fried rice ..Every time I get a notification for your channels it’s like instant happiness ,Your the best..xx💗😘...xx
Family Mart actually has the best fried chicken out of the main 3 convenience store chains. They call it Famichicki for short and it is so good and cheap! It is boneless, so it is like eating a huge chicken nugget. I recommend the spicy one (not really spicy but has more taste) The original is worth trying as well. Last time I checked it costs just under ¥200 ($2.00 US). You should try it the next time you are in Japan! Love the videos Mike, keep them up!
Since I’m home bound and enjoy all cuisines,I live vicariously through your food descriptions. Those yolks were gorgeous! I know since my Son raises (organic) chickens here in upstate NY. That orange 😋. You’re so descriptive, enjoying, and adorable! How do you remain so fit? ❤️
I honestly didn’t even realize Mike had a second channel for his actual vlogs. I’ve been binging strictly dumpling vids for the past few months and have crossed over to this vlog channel without realizing it apparently many times. I guess you can say once I see Mikes face and food in the thumbnail I click and I don’t read the channel name. I don’t know why I finally paid attention tonight but I’m glad cause now I’m gonna get double notifications for the Hot Oil, Hot Pot, Ramen, Buffet, and Dumpling King.
OMG MIKEY i just got my tonsils out yesterday and you are my Light of Hope, it makes me sad seeing you eat when i can't. But you brighten my day and my mood.
I’m going to write Mike a song because I love this guy so much! If I’m Rice, then his videos make me happy, and you know what they say about happy rice!
i've been to seven eleven in japan and its amazing they out lots of love and care into the meals, i had seven eleven for breakfast everyday it was that good.
I love making a simple okonomiyaki at home. great way to just use up bits and pieces of veggies, or small portions of various meats, and it comes together really quick!
@@503945158 that's definitely not all they want, they just put up with that and don't demand better bc the culture there is to just deal with what you're given.
7-11's cater their food towards American demands. Family Mart tried to bring the Japanese conbini to Los Angeles and it didn't go very well. At one time they had about 8 stores and they closed after about 3 years.
That veggie buffet place looks amazing! I'm not even vegetarian but I think those people who hate vegetables just never had well prepared veggies. If you know how to cook the veggies they can taste amazing.
@@vivida7160 No you don't, I'm referring to those people who call themselves meat eaters and hate on vegetarian and vegan dishes as if they're offensive
Kyoto. Favorite city in the world. Great food, culture, and interesting architecture. Still, always good to leave the city for a ryokan in the country.
Those vegetables looked so next level, I’m glad you ate them. I wish I knew what kind of sauce was on that wedge salad. It just looked too good. I’m so hungry now my stomach is eating itself.
Yum,runny yolks! Ever heard the phrase “too much of a good thing can be bad?”well that’s true so make sure to eat runny yolks only once in a while!😐☺️😊😊
at 12:13 Mikey himself considered it inappropriate. It is inappropriate! How dare you film that sexy yolk running down towards that good looking rice. Reported for nsfw video. It makes anyone hungry.
Been ghost watching your channel for 2 years (maybe more) now and love your vids, that food looked amazing when are they going to invent smellovision cause I'm sure that smelled as good as it looked.
I love that you take a moment after biting into something before making a judgment, also love that you don't pretend to like everything. I always look forward to your content. Cheers
He def doesnt pretend to like everything but he still makes sure to finish eating it
Agreed. The main issue with Mark Wiens. I think he dies with joy at 99.9% of his food... It's too much and not very useful as a 'review'...
“I knew my buffet senses were tingling” - Mike Chen.
Someone please put that quote on a t-shirt 😂😂
i would buy it!

That’s such a good idea. Like a Q&A mukbang w fans.. 🙃💙

I told my American friends about sneaking out of the school for 7-eleven food. None of them believe me.......😂
Check expiration date on everything when you go to an American 7-11. You've been warn.
