Thanks for taking the time to make, edit, post this video. I just put some Depo’s in today and after watching this it made my life 10x better. Great job 👍
Wow you did a great job...I have a 2004 Lexus Gx 470 and have had it for all these years..love but my lights are disgusting....wish I could do this myself...great job!❤😊
Firstly, thanks for watching and for the comment! They are the Depo brand Sport Package lights. Imo they are not as dark as the OE ones but they get the job done. Also, I’m glad you like to see the struggle, we’re all humans here 🤙🏽
Good video. Letting us see the hassles helps speed us on our way. Care to do the shocks on that beast? I'm getting ready to replace bushings, balls, & shocks on my 07 GX470. You'd be the first to do OEM shock replace... I've looked....and looked... and looked....
@@AdventureRigCO Fronts. Rear is no big deal. several people have done videos. I've got an ultra low clearance ratchet hex screwdriver on order to deal with the Active Suspension Control Module. Most people just convert to conventional shocks and don't video removal. I got a good deal on a set of OEM so I'm sticking them in. Maybe I'll play around with converting and/or lifting after these wear out. There's less than optimal clearance, especially on the inner side, between the 4mm hex bolts on the ASCM mounting and the wheel well wall.
Great job i have the same car except its land cruiser Prado - diesel .. have the same problem yellowish headlights going to replace it with new ones + fog lights ... thanx
There are companies who makes precut vehicle specific clear vinyl that you can apply to headlights that should help with the oxidation and protect them from small rock chips. The most popular brand I've heard of is Lamin-X. Some companies make headlight protection in a spray can, kinda like a clear coat for your headlights and some heaven have wipe on compound. There are positives and negatives for each application. But there are many options for protecting the headlights 👍🏼 hope that helps.
@@AdventureRigCO There's plenty of clearcoat non-yellowing shaker cans around. Work your way to wet sanding 5000 grit (there are videos). Now you're ready to do black lacquer speaker cabinets!
Just removed passenger side headlight because squirrels ate through the wires behind it. First time in my life I had to remove a bumper to remove headlight.
I think it's fairly common, but doesn't happen to everyone. I think it's just because of the DRL and the heat produced by the bulbs 🤷🏽♂️ it can be a pretty simple fix though
@@BrutalGranny EACH? Oh well. Name one car that doesn't have some sort of chronic problem... (*cough*) Civic...(*cough*) especially the last decade. At least people now know how to get the yellow oxide off of plastic headlights. (Now that's been a BRILLIANT idea) There are LED headlights with PC style heat sinks for cooling.
I have a new video up of me reviving the fog lights too! I was thinking about replacing them with some Extreme LED Amber work lights though, so there might be a video on that here soon.
I was going to subscribe to your channel because I thought the video was actually pretty good. Right up until you dropped an F bomb with my kids sitting here. You need to forgo the foul language.

Excellent walk-through! Thanks!
Thanks for watching and hope it helped!
Hi! Are these headlamp assembly’s with sport package or without? Great walk through and I love that you show us your struggles!

Are you referring to the rear bags? Or the front struts?

What was the power socket tool you were using? Looks nice and small to get into those tight areas
It is a 1/4" Matco electric ratchet. You could also go with Milwaukee, they make quality stuff!
Maybe it's just the microphone, but it sounds like it's made with plastic gears...

I'm glad I could help with the video! You gotta let me know how your install goes! Good luck!
Med 2020 I just used meguirs head light restore and it worked great!
Matthew Kim i’v already restored them twice before but it will never work again , yes for the first time it worked like magic
If you replace the headlights try and add a clear film on them to help protect against the elements and prolong the new look 👍🏼
You can wetsand with 400, 600 grit, clearcoat (make sure it's nonyellowing), then wetsand with 5000 grit for same effect. $30 in stuff.
GR8 VIDEO,....THANKS!!!!😃👍
Thanks for the support! 🤘🏼
Make sure to put some protection on the headlights to prevent oxidation!
That's a good call! Maybe a clear bra type of material. That would definitely help with rock chips and oxidation as well!
What kind of protection?

Do you have to disconnect the car battery for this ?
You can, I did not. Usually the safer route. Then again almost every single car repair they suggest batter disconnect 🤷🏽♂️
Subscribed for the useful information including f bomb. Ya fucked up there, that was appropriate.

You really should buy matching fog lights
I was going to switch them to pod lights in the future
Where did you get the headlights?
I found my set on eBay
killing it
I appreciate it
Hey bro , what power tool is that?
It's a Matco 1/4" ratchet but a Milwaukee one would be great too
Mine melted the same way. Wonder how much of a trend that is
Yikes. Just bought an 07.
Shalmaneser easy fix. If you can find a headlamp at a junksite super cheap. $130 at the most

Should of got new fogs as well while you were at it with new bulbs.

@@AdventureRigCO keep the lights looking stock
I have a major urge to upgrade haha they are staying stock for the time being though lol
Now just refinish the fog lights.
Well...instead of spending a fraction and restore OEM quality lights, you've spent same time to put cheap depo crap that will fail in 2 years......idk
