    Made the same mistake as you I have a blue fk2 type r and have a few scratches around door handles and a scratch on back passenger door and I went straight in with it but you have to clean and decontaminate and dry the car then apply this and let it dry fully then buff off, gives a nice shine and hides surfaces scratches but deep scratches it won’t hide

    Always used this stuff, the key can be in the application. On the origional is was dab on and rub(small circles I remmember my grandad saying) in with a damp sponge let it dry then buff off.

    The instructions make it clear that it wont do deep scratches. Anything that you can feel with your fingernails. I used this knowing what it wont do. It will fill up deep scratches, but wont raise them, so you can still see them. For deep scratches, stone chips, keying lines, you need paint touch up and paint that matches your color. I tried this on my plastic rear bumper, and it did nothing, but works well on metal surfaces.

    Nice one Will.
    Some low-life piece of sh*t keyed my car at the weekend, and whilst the start and end of the scratch are light surface scratches, it's slightly deeper in the middle.
    I've purchased some of this stuff to at least clean up some of the scratch and was looking out for some videos of people opinions.
    Going by your experience, hopefully I'll be able to buff out some of the scratch and once I've trawled through my CCTV, will be able to exact my revenge on the culprit!
    Nice video, cheers fella.

    Came out today to find my mirror hanging off and a long scratch along passenger door to the front wheel arch. Managed to click the mirror back in position but the scratch needs dealing with now, my dad has some of this so we will have a try at the weekend. I can feel the scratch with my fingers so it might not work miracles. I hope it wasn't someone doing it deliberate, all the cars on my street park half on the pavement, you have to otherwise no one could get past. I see no reason for anyone to target my car, but people are weirdo's. I hope it was kids chasing each other or had a wobble on an e scooter or something. If it was deliberate I think the scratch would be worse and they would of tore the mirror off fully.

    Cant really tell from the video as you didn't look at your work from different angles ( not criticising) but did you find that it left a dull spot where you used it compared to the cars gloss look?

    • @WillBrownCars
      @WillBrownCars  3 роки тому +3

      It did to start with but you have to keep rubbing it in and then it goes back to gloss after it’s fully rubbed in and cleaned 🙌🏼🙌🏼

    This is only for very light scratches, anything you can feel with your nails will not fome out, it 2ill not fill in where paint was , also best to do the full car.. I used to work in a coachwork & i have t cut more cars than I care to remember, but car paint is now water based & has to be clear coated, so t cut wont work the same becouse its not actually coming in contact with the paint, as top coat is clear, hope this makes sense.

    Can it take out scuffs in a plastic Mercedes bumper ?

    • @WillBrownCars
      @WillBrownCars  6 місяців тому

      Depends on how deep the scuffs are but it should work on plastic bumpers for the lighter marks, especially if you buff it after using t-cut 🙌🏼

      That all depends on how deep the scratch goes. I would guess it probably wouldn't work as a key usually goes too deep. This is more for the little chips and soft scratches you get from general wear and tear.
