For clean up around the nails I use the ELF concealer brush and I dip it into any nail polish remover. The remover doesn't ruin the bristles and you can continue to reuse the brush and its only a dollar. It works really well!!! :)
When you file your nails, file in towards the center; not back and forth. This will help avoid splitting and chipping as you are working with the grain of the nail.
I use the gel colors and they last me up to 4 weeks, and I use my hands a lot, at work, and around the house, doing dishes and what not. I highly recommend the gel colors.
Sorry I know this video is very old. You have beautiful hands, I hardly ever see girls with their nails nice and short like this. Everyone seems to wear acrylic nails now its horrible :(
You do NOT need a buffer hun, your filler would work just fine. It's actually better for your nails not to be taking layers off. Less buffing and filing the better. 😉
O B E S S E D with nail polish, especially recently so many epic colours for spring! So much so I did a drawing of my april favorites April Favorites - Nail Colours CUTE VIDEO
I keep my manicures lasting longer by wearing those cheap plastic gloves you buy by the box at the drug store, and wear them when when my hands come in contact with water. ie: showering, bathing, cleaning - especially the sinks and anything with chemicals - when I put on my makeup, fix my hair - hair products are real hard on manicures. Those gloves come in a large box and help extend my manicures at least a week if I wear them all the time my hands come in contact with harsh chemicals. Don't get me wrong, I still have to wash my hands, but not nearly as often - most of the time, if I'm at home, I wash my gloves on my hands and not my hands.
I do the exact same thing. Yes, in the shower. That was the number one thing that ruined my manicures. I'm not ruining my polish for 10 minutes in the shower. I tie rubber bands around my wrists to keep water from getting in. Works like a charm! My manicures last the whole week, and I put a fresh top coat on every other day.
@@dbusch67 I always wear latex or vinyl gloves especially with all the hair care products I need to use. Water and chemicals cause my nails to get weak and break. My nails get so soft after I shower, thank you for the rubber band tip.
Your nails peel, yet you said you have no problems with sawing back and forth to file. Ironic, since the back and forth sawing causes...drumroll please...peeling.
I have this exact color on right now. Covergirl glosstini's Glowing Nights #TechnoGlow .. they also glow in the dark.. I just found this out I guess that why they are called Glowing Nights.. Lol
Type it on amazon, basically fake nails attached together forming a little wheel, people use to practise nail art or swatch nail polishes. You're welcome!
The key is to stop applying the nail polish way before you nail actually ends it that makes any sense. Like where your cuticles are do not apply nail polish there so just end above it. Like she said "leave a border around your nails"
my nails are very thin and bendy and prone to splitting. Even with vitamin supplements that are for nail strength, there is no change, I find that nearly every polish I try suffers because of that. Essie, OPI, Sally Hansen, etc they start to chip within 24 hours. I've tried various bonders, and top coats over the years with no success. I've cleaned and lightly buffed the nails, and no change. Shockingly, the only polish I have been able to wear for up to 4-5 days without chipping is the megalast series from wet n' wild. It may be worth trying a bottle or two
I have been happy with the wild shine as well. It doesn't last as long but still longer than many more expensive brands. Makes me wish the Megalast had more color options. Wet N wild has come a long way with a lot of their products. I have been a fan of their eye shadow pallets as well. Both are worth investing in a bottle or two.
Don't buff your nails if you them to grow without peeling ‼️also try putting the oil on after you paint your nails so that you don't have to wash it off

Yeah I've tried that too! It helps! Sometimes it can get too shiny though and is too slick for the polish to adhere well too :/
I use Dickinson's witch hazel to remove the lotion and left over oil, next I use OPI's chip skip. Those work well for my nail prepping. :)
Seche Vite instructions actually tell you to apply the the top coat when your polish is still wet. It lasts longer when you do it that way.
When you file your nails, file in towards the center; not back and forth. This will help avoid splitting and chipping as you are working with the grain of the nail.
Love your nails. Try using a smudge brush to clean them up.
By using the shine side on your buffing block can help with making your nail polish last longer!
I have tried every nail polish on the market, the best one I found is Butter London. Great video!
Great idea!
VERY thorough!! This is the best video I've watched regarding how to make your manicure last longer. I've watched a ton of them.😊👍💓
Thank you!
@@GenaMarie I don't remember Seche Clear Base Coat being milky or thick....looks more like a glue mixed with water.
You are super talented at beauty!
Very nice manicure. Beautiful color. Thank you for the video.
What color was that you had on your nails?
I use the gel colors and they last me up to 4 weeks, and I use my hands a lot, at work, and around the house, doing dishes and what not. I highly recommend the gel colors.
Do u need the led light for gel nails???
Wow what a colour of nail polish such a beautiful nails liked it and love you mam you are amazing
Sorry I know this video is very old. You have beautiful hands, I hardly ever see girls with their nails nice and short like this. Everyone seems to wear acrylic nails now its horrible :(
amazing video... thanks for sharing :)
Hi. Do you have a video on how to use a nail buffer? Believe it or not there is people out there (like me) who have no clue. Thanks!
My favorite look!! I cannot STAND long nails!! They look like claws to me. Short & shiny is a clean & very manageable style.
Do you find that the seche vite top coat shrinks your nail polish? I always have that problem.
No, but I've been using the Sally Hansen Inst-Dry (red bottle) and i like it better!
***** I use a Cuticle Scrub to erase the loose cuticles
It shrinks mine too. So frustrating.
I have fast-drying Top Coats and they seem to work really well
I hate when cheap top coats forms bubbles between my colour and the top coat, makes it so easy to chip
was the Essie Polish that you showed called "Bahama mama" ?? I have that same opi color & I love it!!! also Essie Bahama mama too (:
Zoya polish lasts a long time on my nails. china glaze chips super quickly on me but idc cause I wanna change my nails often usually
Apply top coat every other day along with the tips in this video, and your manicure could last nearly two weeks
+WhiteTigressCrafts great tip!
What was the names of the essie and opi polishes? Thanks!
Malaga Wine (OPI) and Bahama Mama (Essie)
What brand is the color you just removed in his video?
Thanks!
What Is the name of the nail polish you are wearing
do we need to use a buffer block or can we use a filler
You do NOT need a buffer hun, your filler would work just fine. It's actually better for your nails not to be taking layers off. Less buffing and filing the better. 😉
What was the Essie polish and the top coat you used? The top coat looks really shiny!
she used sche vite
The essie nail polish she talked about is called "Bahama mama"
If you take alcohol on a cosmetic pad and rub it on your nails redone get before you paint them it helps too.
You have great eyebrows... Was just looking at the thumbnails of the makeup videos and noticed that :)
Which OPI color did you use in this video? thanks!
OPI Malaga Wine
Thanks!!! :o)
My cuticles are so soft that doing the pushing and the block thing is kinda painful.
i have learnt an awesome and incredible aspect that i never knew before...thanks so much
"avoid getting any on your cuticles" .....
**gets it on cuticles** 😂 #storyofmylife
It looks like it's professionally done. Omg.

***** Malaga Wine :)
*****
and the Essie?
The essie color is called "bahama mama"
How long do you wait for your nails to dry? :)
Just a few minutes :)
i always get bubbles, every single time i polish, how do you prevent that???
Try rolling the polish instead if shaking the bottle.
I use Essie base and top coats, and sinful colors sinful shine nail polish, but it chips like mad. I'm not quite sure why.
+Ella G really? Hm Have you tried using the buffer block first?
Ella G
I subscribed before I saw the video

I've always wondered how to get longer lasting nail polish
I love useing harder before the base coat.

Some people say to apply topcoat when the nails are still damp, which method do you think is more effective?
apply when polish is still wet don't wait until they dry hence the name fast drying
Really helpful video, thanks :)
Nicola Hynes Thank you for watching!

Wet n wild makes good polish-even the bottom line wild shine stuff is good, but that said I haven't tried the new formula.

Your nails are supposed to bend. That means there healthy. Hard nails mean they're unhealthy an dehydrated
I like wet n wild too. I have the same problem as you so I switched to doing my own gel manicures so no chipping! And my nails are getting some length
You r so smart!! 💅
The way you filed your nails made me cringe >.< but hey, if it works for you that's all that matters! Good job I love the nail color :)
And all so using thin coats of nail polish does help a whole lot.
Great advice TFS!
I've been puting cuticle cream on my lips. lol.
CatsN'CraftsProductions 77 I do the same thing too. Thank heavens I'm not the only one who does it
Great..tips.
Thank you darling!!!!

Nail polish red
Grt idea
You're supposed to file your nails in the same direction.
After the first minute where you say "it's better to have short nails" You lost me there.
Lori J Weyer LOOK IT UP!
DO NOT REMOVE CUTICLES!!!! If you want to obtain a nice fungal infection, then, ok, remove them.
Good luck
never clip your nails, use a file!!! goodness thats so bad. :)
two of my most frustrating moments in life is smudging my nail polish or it chipping away the very next day ._.
Your nails look so beautiful...i had to subscribe! :) Come by and say hi! coco CAROL
