- Hi Guys and thanks for watching, in this video I'm replacing the spark plugs and if you have this type of cars don't buy cheap spark plugs get some NGK's thats the brand SUBARU recommence, and the recommendation is to change them every 60k miles, and one more thing don't use cheap gas because this cars don't like it.

Bullet Solano hola. Tu levantaste el motor?
Levantarlo?
Para cambiar las bujías?
Bullet Solano si... Pero por tu respuesta creo que no es necesario jaja. Es que compré unas ngk y quise cambiarlas pero me entró la duda ya que me habían dicho que tenía que levantar el motor.
Hey I had my spark plugs changed a while back and ever since then I've been having issues with my car shutting off suddenly when am driving. The mechanic that changed it claims that the system needs to relearn and it will keep shutting off until it does. Its been almost 6 months and it still shuts off while am driving and its a 2012 impreza. How true is this?
Not true but do the idle relearn just in case, and my suggestion, get another mechanic
Hey on your description you say dont use cheap gas, what gas do you use? Octane and brand?
Hey, I used shell 89 octane
Bullet Solano thanks for the response man, your spark plug video helped me out alot! And so as the other videos! God bless you friend
Hey no problem, God bless you
I just finished replacing the spark plugs, felt good not really running into any major problems. Turned the key, and the car started - but now I have a check engine light, and my cruise control light on the dash is flashing, and the traction control light is permanently on. I scanned the car, and got a P0031 code. Anyone know if there is some relation to spark plugs replacement to a P0031 code?
Check all your connections, probably you disconnect them by mistake
Yep. I unplugged the connection on the passenger side to give myself more room and idiotically forgot to reconnect it.
Clicky/clicky and now, no more check engine light. #NOOBMistake
My 2010 impreza only has 96000KM now. Do you think I can wait for more couple years to change the timing belt?
Did you inspect it, I will do it at 100k or 115k
@@BulletSolano Did you change already?
No, that car was totaled 2 year ago
what gas is reccomended for the 2.5i n/a? 87 or 89?
N/A? 87
@@BulletSolano thanks my friend. Just changed the plugs and wires today after the car was bogging a lot especially in low rpms while driving. I did find some oil gunked up around the plugs so i assume i'll be needing to change out the plug seals soon. Your video helped out immensely. Cheers
No problem bro
How much torque for spark plug
I don’t go by torque, I get them tight by hand, after that I do 1/4 of a turn to crush the o ring on the spark plug
Thankyou
No problem
The box reads 1/2 to 2/3 turn after being seated. I've read Subaru forums that indicate 13-15ft lbs.
