Thanks for the great video. Perfect for 2010 Forester.
I assume I only have to replace the serpentine, did you remove both belts anyways?
Good video man. Helped me out a lot with my Forester! 👍
Much better than the gates video, Thanks.
Love the video! Thank you for mentioning the safety glasses. You only get one set of eyes!
You're awesome man, thank you for filming and sharing this!
Thank you man 👍🏽
thank you for taking time to make and post this video... very helpful and clear. Good and realistic presentation... and nice that you explain tool sizes and show the simple way to check tension, etc.
Thanks man
You're the real mvp
Incredible presentation. Thank you so much.
Thanks
Nice clear video. I just tried this on my 2010 Forester XT Ltd. 2.5 Turbo. A parts search led me to the same Gates A/C stretch fit belt as you used, and the installation tool, and that went on OK, with quite a bit of effort and a breaker bar to rotate the lower pulley. For the front V- belt, a parts search indicated Gates K050345, which is a little bit longer than the one you showed, but still I could not get it on, even with the alternator at its lowest point. It needed another couple of millimetres, or I needed to be a lot stronger. I put the old belt back, and got Subaru's OEM belt, which looks a little bit longer than the Gates one. I will try to install it later. Also, you have to remove the engine cover in my Forester. It is held on by clips, which don't really do well after being taken off. I got cheap ones on Amazon, about a hundred of them for $13, but turned out they didn't fit either! I just got the Subaru ones, about $2 each, but expect them to fit. Just a heads up for anyone with a similar vehicle. Perhaps the extra you pay for OEM parts you save in frustration?
Yes after working on a Toyota dealership I know OEM is the best way to go
Fantastic video thank you! That was easy.
Thanks
Thank you for the great video
Thank you for this video was looking to do this on my sti. My older wrx was a lot easier.
Your welcome
Good explanation and video. 👍🙏
Thanks
@@BulletSolano Today, right now I change front belt , and now everything good like normal. Before I have problem power steering tight. Subaru Forester'10. 👍🛣️💪🚘
Nice
Is this belts fits for my Wrx Sti 2010 ej25 engine bro?
Lack of clear instruction for how to install the stretch fit using the tool. Mainly, where you position the belt on the bottom. Nearly broke a belt completely due to this.
How do we get the ac belt off without cutting it lmao
If it has to come off get a new one
You didn’t show the metal from the tool that holds the belt before you start winding it on. It ruined my belt, how hard was it to show how it wasn’t meant to be attached.
