Great channel Todd, Do you think the Kolari Pro VND Lens Filter and CPL will be as good quality and colour accurate? The reviews on these are hard to come by. The fact you can put a clip-in filter mist behind the lens and double up the usage intrigues me and could be cost effective.
I've been following your ND filters review and I thought you're really doing great. I'm hoping I would see sometime in the future the Nisi filter review. it would be great to see a head to head between Breakthrough ND filter and Nisi ND filter. Cheers!
The four stop nd filter looks like a versatile tool for many scenarios. Right between 3 and 6. I am using both Nisi and Kolari 7 stop. They are both excellent nd filters. Kolari is slightly better built. Also comes in 4,5 7 and 8 stop nd filters that nisi does not. Both are great and work great.
corning specialize in glass. Many expensive sunglass made glass made by Conrnig optics. In most of North America and other countries, optical fiber cable making glasses are made by corning and many other fields Corning supplied the optical component.
Thanks for your videos. Kolari are available in a few stops: 2 stops and 5 stops and then a lot more, (10, 15 and 20 stops). Also, B+W XS Pro which also seem good, are only available in 2, 3, 6 and 10 stops. Which choice of brand would you make for video? (Ideally I would have liked 2, 4 and 6 stops, then adjusting with iris).
It seemed on your other test that the color accuracy changed just a tad/gave a better comparison outside. Would have loved to have seen this outside which would also have shown if there was any sharpness degredation.
What an interesting company, definitely a strong consideration for my next ND's. It is unfortunate however that they do not offer step up rings like breakthrough does, they are excellent and grippy like their filters. I would think Kolari would want to keep customers on their own site but if you buy 82mm filters and need to adapt to smaller lenses not having this product forces the consumer to go buy them elsewhere, a potentially missed sale for Kolari.
I think it's also interesting that kolari boasts color accuracy "into the infrared range", I'd wonder how other nd filters stack up against that as such
Do you use a color checker with your landscape photography and a white balance card? This topic intrugues me because I've been taught that you want these things to be close to the subject but in the case of a more environmental or landscape photograph, that may not exactly be possible? How do you work with this?
I have the K&F Concept Variable ND filter. I like it because it has hard stops on the ring at min/max values so you don't overturn the ring and ruin your footage. I prefer solid NDs over variable, but for flexibility, the K&F Variable ND is great.
I bought the K&F Concept Variable upon your recommendation. Very happy with the results. I've taken a few shots that I'm quite proud of. Todd, love your channel, and thanks.
Can you please make a video explaining the differences and comparing circular and square filters? How does color accuracy compare? Is vignette a problem with square filters on wide angle lenses since the square filter system requires a ring mounting system that makes the filter glass further away from the lens? What about stacking square filters? Can vignette be reduced or eliminated by buying larger circular filters and stepping them down for 14-16mm lenses? Thanks!
Todd, we need a whats in my camera bag!! Id love to see it!
I love the quality and thoroughness of your videos! continue the great work. I hope more people find your channel.

Todd please try to give the K&F concept filter a try because they’re a budget friendly and I would like to see your opinion.
