Great stuff Sammy, caught my attention this movie. Heard it is quite intense and disturbing, Revenge is on Second Sight Films and want to purchase that as heard good things about it. Sounds really interesting and appreciate the in depth review matey

There are some riveting scenes indeed Tim mate; a very immense final half an hour aswell; definitely brace yourself there man! 😱 But nonetheless a great great film that I definitely be purchasing day one and I do want to check out ‘Revenge’ after seeing this; cheers as ever Tim; hope you have a good week buddy 😀🙏🍿🎸🎶

Thanks for the review, just seen the movie “The Substance” first trailer grabbed me from the get go, & a curious one as Demi Moore was one of the biggest actresses in the 90’s, & to see her back on top with a great performance, I hope her career gets back on track as she still looks 😍.
It’s a trippy body horror movie for sure with a David Cronenberg influences, & some scenes reminded me of “The Shining” “The Fly” mainly & certain scene or two looking like “The Elephant man” &’”Basket case” 😮🤣.
Shot for shot with the colours every scene looks like it was carefully selected & it looks beautiful with close ups, wide screen shots & above head shots 😎impressive style of film making.
I preferred the first three quarters of the movie before it went mental & crazy over the top but still it’s where Hollywood movies need to try & be bold out there with fresh ideas.
Demi Moore has revived her career with this effort & looks eye catching still, Margaret Qualley has a promising career ahead & good to see Dennis Quaid in a fun role.
Highly recommended in this bizarre, trippy out of control sickly body horror movie 7.5/ 10
Hey Carlos; thanks so much for stopping by 😀🙏🍿🎸🎶 I really loved this film; thanks for your report on it and so glad to hear you really liked it; it did something original with the Body Horror genre and had a few reminiscent moments of Classic Horror movies like ‘The Shining’ & ‘The Fly’; I not seen the film ‘Society’; but it has been compared to that aswell 😱
Oh yes there was some trippy scenes in that film for sure Carlos; I needed a lie down afterwards 😱😂 Great comparisons there mate to other films I’m very much fond of; also Demi Moore was very nice on the eye in that film indeedy 😍 Both her & Margaret Qualley were superb in it weren’t they mate; it was great to see Dennis Quaid in this as one of the main characters; as I not seen him in anything in so long 😱
I will agree; I do prefer the first two hours; the remaining 20 mins were super immense and I can only give props to the direction and the way the film kept flipping on its head throughout; super well paced aswell 🤩 Thanks so much for the awesome mini review/report on the film there Carlos mate; hope you having a grand week so far my friend and as it stands this is my No.1 film of the year 😀🍿🙌🎸🎶
