Thanks for your help. Just got that setup today 275/35/21 front and 295/35/21 in the rear and yesssss the ride quality is soooooo much better. I immediately felt a difference. Aesthetically it also looks better as well.

One thing that should be mentioned is that you’ll want to find a tire shop in your local area willing to do the work before committing to a purchase. I was flat out refused service by two tire shops because they didn’t want to deal with going outside of Tesla’s factory specs for the 21 Uberturbine wheels. The third shop I found did the work, but the on-site manager got pushback from his staff because of the same reason but they ended up doing it. I know it’s a bit tougher for these guys to work with these wheel and tire sizes, so I’m sure that was a factor as well.

I had done this a while back. I agree on the ride and rim protection. However if you are in it for the acceleration, it slows it down. I feel its effect. I am trying to find a set of wheels that are an 8.5/9.5" wide stagger in 20"s. hard to find so far. I want to run the stock 255/275 maybe even in a 40 instead of 35. Traction and adhesion dont seem to be as big as drag. I do notice the car turn a little different but havent pinpointed why, yet. At this point I have Teins. MPP haul for adjustable camber and toe just arrived too. The car does hunt a little at speed and that is going to stop.

The arrangement that you spoke of 265/35 front 295/35 rear, for your wife’s car does not seem appropriate. I say this because that puts the the arrangement too much of a difference between the front and back., not sure if this matters but there’s only 20 difference between the factory 255/35 and 275/35. There is 30 difference between the numbers on your wife’s tire arrangement. I’m wondering how this affects the torque difference between the front motors and the back based on how it’s programmed by the factory would it be binding motor torque upon an acceleration? I have noticed that when you rotate tires or change tires, it goes through a small calibration when prompted to do so in the service menu setting, which it then says, do not hard accelerate for the first few miles, I’m not sure exactly what it’s calibrating. I would certainly like to know.
