This song brought tears to my eyes. Pure nostalgia. I grew up listening to hits by this band on the radio, but we didn't have money to buy music. I forgot about these songs for decades. Thank you so much for your channel and bringing this band back into my life.
This.....
the smile that hit your face when you realized it WAS that song just said it all!!
Great song! Glad you are doing more of this group. They had so many hit songs in the 70's-80's such as "Dreamer", "Goodbye Stranger", "Rudy", "Take The Long Way Home", "School", "It's Raining Again", "Bloody Well Right", "My Kind Of Lady", "Cannonball", "I'm Beggin' You", "You Win, I Lose", "Crime Of The Century" etc.
Bloody well right!!!
You tell em, Rudy😃
"Goodby Stranger" is the song that made me like this band.
It was School for me. That crescendo gets me every time.
"School" is excellent as well.@@CuzKatieSaysSo
This song was on Superman The Movie with Christopher Reeves. Lois Lane had it playing on her car radio when she pulled up to the gas station right before everything blew up.
Supertramp, “The Logical Song”.
He’s already reacted to that it’s in his library.❤️✌️🌼
Have loved this song ever since it came out. 🙌🏼🔥👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
"Crime of The Century" is also a great song by Supertramp !! ✌👍
Crime of the Century is a great album by Supertramp - Well worth taking the time to listen to the whole thing.
Next recommended Supertramp song:
“Bloody Well Right”
The piano solo intro and saxophone outro will blow your mind.
Just brings joy, this is what Supertramp brings with their music. These guys are so unique, every dang album is so good. Hope you get to my favorite song “Lord is it Mine”. (For another great band, give The Little River Band a listen…they also have a musicality similar to Supertramp)
Child of Vision has always pressed all my buttons, but really, anything from that brilliant run of 5 albums, you know which ones, presses my buttons.
Breakfast in America (the song) is their "B" side material, you haven't even scratched the surface.
If you haven't heard their songs, "School" or "Bloody Well Right", I highly suggest checking them out because they'll both either shock or surprise you.
Happy now? Fantastic band, multiple hits, can't go wrong! Thanks for your reaction.
I like so many of their songs, including this one a lot, but my absolute favorite is probably one of the first ones I heard when I was a kid, from an earlier album called Crime of the Century, and the hit song was Bloody Well Right. I heard someone react to it a couple weeks ago and I was blown away about how cool it really is considering how long ago it came out. And you will definitely hear yet another side of Supertramp.
Try "Bloody Well Right " "School ". You probably heard the song in commercials,
That 'twang' at the end really kills me. :)
Even In The QUIETEST Moments WAS THE TITLE OF THE ALBUM & A GREAT SONG..
I can’t wait for you to listen to Goodbye stranger! It’s a masterpiece
Please check out their biggest hit where Roger does NOT sing lead, but it is founder Rick Davies instead: "Goodbye Stranger"
It's so good to hear this music again!! Lots of memories from this group of talented people. If you get a chance, do yourself a favor and listen to their "Fools Overture", I recommend listening to the song and then read up on it! Thanks again for the memory refresh!!
Yep, that’s it! ❤️🎶❤️ the Goo Goo Dolls covered this, down a couple keys. 🎶🎶🎶
Not only acoustic, but it's a 12 string guitar.
Your face at the end says all we need to know.
Btw the song was in Daddy's home 2; The invention of lying; Death becomes her; Superman (1978) and on 4 different sitcoms/shows
You got to hit songs off of the Crime of the Century Album!
As a Supertramp fan I loved your reaction
Great reactions...I watch you every day. You're awesome keep it up
You made me smile and laugh by the coincience of your intro! From west coast Canada 🇨🇦, peace.
Used to play this for my children and they said along
My fav song by Supertrap. Per guitars, check out early "America", their first 3 albums are fabulous, and the guitar work is tops.
also check out a the rock group "Love" - they have fallen into the blackhole if history - even me an old guy didn't know of them until only a couple of years ago. They are incredible good - esp thier first three albums, notably their Forever Changes album.
per great guitar work, i refer you to their song "Alone again or".............although "the red telephone" is my personal favorite, closely followed by "seven and seven is"
I know you have not covered "Love" because they have been erased from social memory and nobody know who they were, but have you covered America? I've not checked your channel out enough to know yet, but they are a well remembered rock band.
I see you found "The Who" (excellent and underated for sure)- what about "The Guess Who" (also excellent and underrated even moreso IMO).
2-cents.
I think this was in Superman with Christopher Reeve. It was when Lois Lane was driving the car and it stalls and the car ends up getting filled with dirt and he rescues her. This was playing on the car radio just before this happens.Brilliant tune 😉🇮🇪
Dreamer and Take the Long Way Home. Both very different but excellent.
Great song try Supertramp song Hide in your shell!
For something different- "Fools Overture"
Try Rudy from Supertramp, that should give you a WOW...
If you can't tap your foot to this song while smiling then you are clinically dead.
Some headphones would make these great tunes even better.
How can you say that you 'love' this song if you didn't even know it until it was well underway ?
It just does, right? Love it.
That's how I go into new music. No expectations. Oh, the last sentence was a Rolling Stones song from Beggar's Banquet.
"Give a Little Bit" has been used in movies, such as Superman and commercials, such as for the Gap. It has also been used in to encourage giving to charity drives.
Bringing back my childhood 😊
Good to see the appreciation. Crime of the Century better than 'Breakfast' for me and Rudy the stand out track, a bit more complex. You want something different? Try Firth of Fifth by Genesis, it's incredible.
You will struggle to find a Supertramp track you don’t like.
Great British band (ANOTHER one)
The first song and album that made me a fan of theirs. The title song to that album, Even In The Quietest Moments, is fantastic and a need to react to! The Goo Goo Dolls, from Buffalo,NY, did a great cover of this as well, though original is still my favorite!
Superman movie play this song on Clark's girlfriend car when she was on the road and a earthquake happening taking her car into a deep crack and Superman save her.
Punch in the face Wow?? Hmm....I recommend Rush YYZ, King Crimson In the Hall of the Mountain King, Gentle Giant The Power and The Glory album, Genesis Nursery Crymes album, Gary Oldman Tubular Bells, both sides of the album.
Could you do Ballad of Frankie Crisp by George Harrison
If you want some more acoustic guitar mood swings, have a listen to the grammy winning Eric Clapton Unplugged album, FYI ...have some tissues within reach.
Well, you just verified something for me. I've noticed, IN GENERAL, that the instrumental part of a song is more important to men and IN GENERAL, the lyrics are more important to women. Not that we don't also enjoy the instrumentals, we do. There are times when I find this very irritating, but this is not one of those songs or times. It's yer generic feel-good love your brother song, and the intrumentals do stand out. But sometimes the lyrics are so important and I'm waiting to hear his opinion, and he can't stop talking about the bass and the drums. Make me wanna take the lord's name in vain!
That's funny, because I've noticed the opposite! I find so many reactors (mostly male) are hung up on lyrics, always looking for deep meanings where often none exist. I have to say I have never cared too much about lyrics. They're usually just a vehicle for the music. It's all about the melody for me, and the quality of the vocals and the instruments.
