Such a creative band with a distinct sound. Miss the days when music like this was top 40.
💯
Amen, brother!
Those days are long long gone.
Todays music is absolutely soulless to me.
Thankfully,I have thousands of albums from THE music era.
One of the best bands ever and was always a very underrated band.
Saying Supertramp are underrated is simply ridiculous. You must have existed under a rock
Underrated?!?
Have you seen the units shifted for Breakfast in America alone?
Certainly not underrated in THIS house!
"You're Bloody Well Right" Is an Amazing piece of music....! (listen loudly)
fantastic song great band aloha
It's a healthy song about communicating with your partner about each of your needs. Love this!!
Roger Hogdson is an angel! ❤️
Well said.
Yes " Perpetual Change"
You sure know how to pick 'em, Imadrummin! Such great memories of this song, and their monster album that followed 2 years later.
Thank you Cosmo sir. Supertramp was one of a kind and yes....Breakfast In America has got to be one of the best albums beginning to end. Looking forward to your upcoming ELO requests. Talk about a one of a kind. ELO for sure. 😀
@@Imadrummin Agreed! And minutes after you sent this, my latest ELO request dropped! It's an early deepcut, perhaps one you don't know. I love it!
There was a time when Music was made to last, I hope those days come back.
So beautiful, I think this songs works “in creciendo”…. it’s a gem of Roger…. I met him after a concert, a kind soul 💖✨🌷👏👏👏
Absolutely Mr Best...such gorgeous harmonies, bass figures! 12 string guitar. Thank you for sharing this Harry.
This song can still light up the vibe in a room...nice take brother
A great song by Supertramp and an equally great reaction from Harri! How can we go wrong?
Supertramp had 5 musicians that produced this very high level of music, something completely unknow nowdays, very nice reaction video
A message for humanity
Reminds me of the good old days!
Ahhh the whispers of my youth…Supertramp were HUGE!
yes 🙏🙌❤️🎉
Two lead singers in Supertramp
Roger Hodgson sings this one
Rick Davies sings too
Both sound very different
The bass was fire too 🔥
Great choice, and reaction brother!
May I suggest "Rudy", "Hide in your shell", " Crime of the century", and "Fool's Overture"
All masterpieces. In fact, any Supertramp is astounding.
Thanks!
Hide In Your Shell & Fool's Overture 🤌
Harri, their "Dreamer" and "Its Raining Again" are next for you!!! Fantastic band
Logical song next please! You won't be disappointed.
Another great underrated band my Dad played a lot when I was a kid. I remember blasting Supertramp on my Walkman as I rode my bike along the beach in Santa Monica. Great memories. They have so many great songs.
Hi Harri, I have had the extreme pleasure of seeing Supertramp “The Tramp” LIVE 4 times. Their music is pure brilliance from each member of the group. Rick Davies - My Favorite Piano/Keyboard Player. John Helliwell - Favorite Sax player. Roger, Bob and Dougie are all awesome. Their Live shows are spectacular. I only put Pink Floyd (4 times) one place higher for their shows.
I almost agree 100% with you.
1034 concerts attended, Supertramp is my 4th favorite concert of all time.
#4. Supertramp -"Breakfast in America" tour
#3. Kansas - "Left Overture" tour
#2. Yes - "Close to the Edge" tour.
#1. Pink Floyd - "In the Flesh" tour (Promoting the "Animals" album)
@@mrsouthjersey4956 Wow.... I have seen Kansas 4 times... Yes, 4 times... Pink Floyd 4 times.. My list is PF...1.... Supetrtramp...2..... Kansas...3... Yes...4..... Eagles....5 (3 times).... ZZ Top...6 (4 times)....too many others to list.
@@AliasMark69 Looks like between us, we've been to some freaking great shows.
You know Mark, I wouldn't trade my concert experiences for a million bucks.
Roger Hodgson wrote this song when he was 19 years old and six years later added to Supertramp's album Even In The Quietest Moments. Beautiful song in every facet.
💚💚💚 Such a great song!!! Thanks for reacting! This song brings back memories of my youth!! 💚💚 I'd like to suggest The Logical Song and Goodbye Stranger! All of Supertramp's are fantastic! 💚💚💚
Love Supertramp! They have other great songs as well!
love Supertramp..takes me back to my teenage years. smoking pink joints at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Canada at one of their concerts. Peace and Love from Canada
had the pleasure of meeting the singer/writer Rodger Hodgeson at a show in Milwaukee in 2019. Always been a huge Supertramp fan. So many incredible songs.
if you ever want to check out a hidden gem of an album Harri, listen to the 1st Supertramp album, the one with the big flower face on the cover. It will blow your mind....
Love this song, with it's beautiful message.
Awwww I love this song!!!!!!
Greatt reaction vid
Breakfast in America was one of those albums where every song charted at some point. Ranks with the likes of Foreigner 4, Hotel California, Sports and The Stranger for radio airplay in the late 70s early 80s.
Here is a group that I did not pay much attention to when they were popular but my bad. More I listen to them the more I like them.
And quite fun to play on guitar. (Took a while to find the right tablature.)
Roger Hodgson's inspiration for this song was the Beatles' *All You Need Is Love.*
This entire album....!
Harri, I can see you enjoying this song so clearly! You are truly a sincere in your reactions! I love you man!! (Check out the reference to the Bud Light commercial)
'Fools Overture', and (my favorite- 'Even in the Quietest Moments') are both awesome songs on this album, too.
The acoustic guitar stands out a little more mainly bc it’s a twelve string.
They have a richer, fuller sound than the six string but has its limitations.
First rate group. Watch the “Breakfast in America” concert and it’ll blow
you away..
Harri, I want to say you have a very interesting and eclectic wardrobe. I'm sure you stand out and get noticed everywhere you go. That's cool.
Hey there HariBest. Great to be here on your Channel again, especially with you discovering SUPERTRAMP! I would be remiss if I didn't invite you to hear one of their greatest Masterpieces, a song of their named "Even In the Quietest Moments." I can promise you that, should you Listen to and React to this song, you will be glad that you did... for evermore. Good to see you looking as though you feel Well and reasonably Happy too. Please Hari, do yourself and all of us out here, a favor and Listen & React to that song?! Cheers, my friend... Keep Smiling...
This song always puts a smile on my face and the message behind it.love it👍❤️🇳🇿🥝
great reaction!
damn right!
I gave thumbs up before you listened, I sort of know you and I KNEW you would absorb this one....Supertramp was so important to the time, they were outside the norm, but made Huge impression, soak it up brother, is good stuff!
Oh and you have to check out Genesis!! Not the 1980s but from the seventies after Peter Gabriel left. Phenomenal
Oh Superman, etc
This song is always a crowd favorite at their shows.... You must see 'RUDY"... The Live version with the movie Train ride.... AWESOME
That was a blown-away moment when I saw them in 1983.
One of the few Supertramp songs to be guitar dominated.
Great reaction Harri. I love this song, so much so that I learned to play it on my guitar and it's a feel good track to play as well as listen to. "Take the Long Way Home", is another good song.
One of the best bands of the 1970s, Supertramp. Kind of Progressive, but not always. Very capable and talented musicians and songwriters, with two lead vocalists, taking turns and sometimes both singing in a single song.
My faves: "Bloody Well Right", "Even In the Quietest Moments", "Crime of the Century" and their grand opus, "Fool's Overture".
Such an uplifting and so needed now song.
You've opened another can of worms hear. Many great songs with this band so creative and original.
This is really a tangent, but the fact that the inspiration of the music is celebrated here makes me think you would really enjoy to discover Laurie Anderson, if you're not already familiar. 😁
Listen to their song Know Who You Are and Lord, Is it Mine and Even in the Quietest Moments. All great stuff.
Fabulous song. Your review is spot on my friend.
Even more beautiful than the melody of this song is the message it imparts. "There's so much that we need to share. So send a smile to show you care."
Allison, the line that gets me is "See the man with the lonely eyes...Take his hand, you'll be suprised". This song is filled with so many takeaways. 😀
@@Imadrummin yes, so powerful and relevant! It’s such a simple thing yet can do enormous good. Kindness is free and always bears good fruit! Thank you for requesting this one! 💙
Totally agree with you
Supertramp were a great English rock band formed in 1969. They had so many great songs in the 70's-80's such as "The Logical Song", "Breakfast In America", "Goodbye Stranger", "Take The Long Way Home", "Dreamer" "Give A Little Bit", "It's Raining Again", "Bloody Well Right", "My Kind Of Lady", "Cannonball", "I'm Beggin' You", "You Win, I Lose" etc.
🤔🙄
Always love your reactions Harri ❤️👵🏼☮️🙏🏼
LEADOFF TRACK AND A HUGE RADIO HIT FROM THEIR ALBUM ( EVEN IN THE QUIETEST MOMENTS ) :)
Love me some Supertramp 🤘
Thanks for reacting to my fav Supertramp song! Goo Goo Dolls also did a nice cover of this song in 2010!
This featured in the first Superman movie.
Great reactions. One of my favorite Supertramp songs. And I think you're right, the singing style on this is perfect for it because it's just so sincere. For some strange reason, when I was a kid, I always felt like listening to this back-to-back with Emerson Lake and Palmer, Lucky Man. Check it out if you haven't.
Great choice imadrummin! This band is great and the song is wonderful. 🌺✌️
Thank you my friend.
Harri,I cannot believe this is your first time listening to this great band.
You definitely know a few of their songs even if you didn’t know it was them.
And if you were around late 70’s/early 80’s and not living on the moon, you’ll have heard their huge hits.
Try Goodbye Stranger by them for one of the most orgasmic keyboard outtros you’ll ever hear.
Breakfast in America album was my life soundtrack 1979-80…magical
Beautiful reaction to a beautiful song. They have so many great songs with really deep messages like Hide in your shell and a special gem for me is and always has been Dreamer which no one ever seems to react to and no one ever mentions in the comments. It would be a real treat to see you react to that one. :) Oh and hi from the Adelaide Hills in South Australia! Which is why I'm always late to see your posts!
Dreamer is on my list MsTruthseeker999. I love that song especially the Paris live version. I will request it next month. 😀 Greetings from Tennessee.
Letting you know Dreamer is now reacted to this month by Harri. ua-cam.com/video/osUcfg_934Q/v-deo.html
He does play this live acousticaly Google where he is playing next his name is Roger Hogson
Huge Supertramp fan here, ever since Crime of the Century. Lot's of great compositions, none better than "Fools Overture" imo. Love your inciteful reaction (as always). Please take a deeper dive.
Harri , Roger Hodgson left the group and went solo. Here is a link where he is with his 12-string guitar and singing by himself and near the end, a saxophonist comes in and joins him. A very good acoustic version ua-cam.com/video/CdTrqV6dt3o/v-deo.html
Excellent reaction as always! Roger Hodgson (and Rick Davies to some extent) are two artists who -- when I think about perfect rock masterpieces -- they both have at least ten of them in their respective repertoires, and they sound totally distinct.
For the record, I equate the positivity of this Supertramp song to the elevated consciousness of what I've suggested....in the end it all adds up to a better and more enlightened life. 😄
Roger Hodgson as a solo artist has played it several times live in purely acoustic form. Here's one example of that: ua-cam.com/video/CdTrqV6dt3o/v-deo.html
Feelin’ The Vibe. 👍
Wow!!! What a great acoustic performance .. one of the best of all times?!?! Thanks for the link!!!
I remember this from the scene of Lois Driving along listening just before the Earthquake in "Superman The Movie". I'm pretty sure there was a cover of it in a "Smallville" episode too.
Steely Dan "Asia"
When Supertramp to Hall of Fame when?
Holy crap! I am shocked. I figured they must already be in there. WTF?!?
A7 > D > G. Simple yet powerful.
Since you wanted an acoustic performance here you go: ua-cam.com/video/CdTrqV6dt3o/v-deo.html - this is a performance on the Farrow Islands
I love Supertramp. If you like creative bands and sax watch Ian Dury and the Blockheads - Hit Me with Your Rhythm Stick, they are a great band, it's a great tune and the sax player plays two saxes at once. Watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/0WGVgfjnLqc/v-deo.html
Paul Hodgeson Is the lead singer of this band and he still performs.. Listen to these songs by Paul I Paul they are so much better and actually have an orchestra with
scrolling through your reaction videos i'm wondering how have you not heard some of these songs before? can you tell me what music you normally listen to.. you've got loads of cd's behind you.. surely you've heard some of these tracks before. c'mon..
Reminder that Supertramp is NOT in the Rock Hall of Fame, but Bon Jovi is. There is no god.
