"i know these videos get long but if you spend this much money on a vacuum you want to see how it is going to work."" -- yes. you did everything right here. long, elaborate tests. good time stamps. you let me click through and discover exactly what i was curious about whereas others cut down into b-roll their tests and it didnt show me the specific concerns i had. great work.
I’m glad it’s not just my Q Revo MaxV that’s not good at avoiding things! I’m glad I didn’t pay $1400 for it! I got it on the open sale when it was first released they had it for $1100 and I used my student discount brought it down to $1000. Thanks for the honest review!
Which site did you get it from. Only site in UK I can find Roborock is Appliances Direct but has old models. Same as Amazon. Really want a S8 Max V Ultra
I really enjoy your thorough and detailed videos, as well as the shorter quick ones. One bit of constructive feedback I have for you as a visually impaired viewer is when you are comparing several vacuums in a video, don’t point to them and just say this one and that one, because for a visually impaired person, it gets confusing as to which one you are talking about. Instead, specify which one you were talking about. With so many vacuums that look so similar with similar names, this would be really helpful. I’m also curious if you have a video that talks about or shows refilling the water tanks. Do you have to hook them up to a water supply or do you just pick the tank up when it’s completely empty from the base and fill it up with the tap at your sink? I believe the new Reno Curv has two versions, one where you have to hook it up to a water supply and the other where you just manually fill the tank at your sink tap.
Tossing up between the QRevo MaxV and the dream L10s ultra pro heat, specs seem pretty similar, dreame seems to have much better object avoidance but roborock seems to have better build quality and software/app function etc. Which would you recommend? Mostly tiled floors, 2 young kids with way too many toys and 2 dogs that shed way too much. Dreame is $200 aud cheaper
Wow! I own the Roborock S7 Max Ultra. It's crazy how many new features the S8 Maxv Ultra has in such a short time frame compared to the S7 Maxv. I still love my S7 Maxv Ultra and will never be without a Roborock robot. I would love to get the newest model but there is no sense in trying to keep up with the latest and greatest when it comes to technology. I will use my S7 Max Ultra as long as possible. The way I see it, "if it's not broken then why fix it". I named my Roborock S7v max ultra, Hairy. Because it picks up a lot of dog hair... Lol... Hairy is one of my best friends and I will be loyal to Hairy until he decides it's time for him to pass his torch to one of his siblings. Lol.. I have never had one complaint about Roborock S7 Max Ultra. I can only imagine that the S8 Maxv Ultra is even better! Thanks for such a great channel. I discovered your channel back when you first started. I am still here with you! That means you are definitely doing things right. Ty again!
I was able to get a dreame L20 ultra for $799 but had been waiting for the Qrevo Max. Not sure if the Qrevo Max actually cleans better than the L20. Since you reviewed both can you give your thoughts?
Hi just a dad, Thank you very much for your reviews on robot vacuums, very helpful videos. I am from Melbourne Australia and I request your feedback whether I should go for 'Roborock Qrevo MaxV' or 'Roborock S8 Pro Ultra'. They are both similar price here, around $2200 AUD. Can you please suggest me which one to go with? I have a mix of tiled floor and carpet at my home. PS: I know S8 MaxV ultra is a better choice but that is over budget (around $3000 AUD) Appreciate your suggestion, thanks Regards, Arif
@@JustADad Wow! things change so fast. seems the eufy s1 pro is the best if i have a lot of hardwood floors and a good mop and decent vacuum, correct? DOes the eufy manage to get corners as well as the roborock? What is best price you've seen for the S1, seeing $1500 on amazon now. thanks for the vids
Another channel said that the hot pad washing wasn’t actually hot but when tested it was barely look warm; also the corner brush never came out to extend in corners.. have you tested that? It doesn’t seem to get close to the edge of yours near the cabinets or in the corner .. I would expect that it sticks out to the side more based on videos on their site.. I would recommend coffee grounds spill in the corner and see what happens
Great review, thanks for all the great info. I have heard that the MaxV is much better with obstacle avoidance since a more recent update, are you able to confirm this? I'm thinking of getting it but we have a dog and many kids, thanks.
Can you comment on the S8MaxV ultras ability to recognize and avoid the flat black table leg in your kitchen vs the Dreame x40 and L20? I see the Roborock continually bumping into the leg as it traverses around the flat left which is typical of Roborock But your Dreame videos seem to show it recognizing the flat leg is present and not bumping into it. Fat and tubular furniture legs on tables, chairs, etc are a problem that maybe Dreame has overcome with its front camera that Roborock has not solved. The side sensor and top LiDAR sensor are mounted too high to detect the leg so the camera would have had to identify and allow the vacuum to avoid it. That would be a major advantage for homes with a lot lot of tubular furniture which is an ongoing problem. Please let me know if my observation about the Dreame is correct
Hi, I´ve been considering the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and the Dreame X30/X40 Ultra. Do you know if they can go under cabinets which are around 4,3 inches high to vaccum underneath?
Wow it`s 400 dollars the difference. I bought a 400USD robot which is super fine. So for 1800USD I might have Qrevo MaxV for me and Xiaomi X20+ for my mother :)

I appreciate you noticing the detail! 😊
I appreciate the long videos! It’s great that you have long and short videos. Thank you for buying these with your own money!
You are welcome! I’m glad you appreciate the effort!

Hello, so which product do you think we should buy?
@@avsaroglu07 I got the Dreame X40 Ultra, and I love it
That S8 MaxV Ultra Reverse Mop. It backed up perfectly to clean. Now that really blew my mind.
Nothing wrong with long videos, it's better to be as detailed as possible.
Agreed. I enjoy it.
This!
does it need always wifi Connection ? or can it be configured only via direct Connection to the Bot ?
I imported the Qrevo pro into theUK from Germany. I am amazed with it. I think obstacle avoidance is fine. At worst it gently touches things.
Which site did you get it from. Only site in UK I can find Roborock is Appliances Direct but has old models. Same as Amazon. Really want a S8 Max V Ultra
thank you for the video and the great comparison , it really did help me for the future investment
I wish the s8 have the Qevo duo spinning mop pads.

thanks for the feedback!! I have some vidoes coming soon on those robots
So which one is better?
Love long and detailed videos

The absolute ignore of the dogwaste and cable on the Qrevo reminds me of my old Doris who is a old Xiaomi. She just goes for it :D

Regarding the obstacle avoidance, please update the firmware and test it again. Others report this made a huge improvement.
yeah i have, the s8 is really good now at obstacle avoidance

It looked like the Q Revo mops better / closer under the cabinets? Thoughts?
really hard to tell, but s8 I think has more pressure down on mop pad
The Qrevo maxv got the AI Smartplan with the latest firmware 02.30.38
Awesome review as usual!
I appreciate that

Hello, so which product do you think we should buy?
which one do you like more for the price? what about dream l10
these are kind of old models now. the Roborock qrevo pro is best price and the eufy s1 pro is best mopping but loud at vacuuming

the hot water is hard to measure, I have seen the hot water comes in at the end, it uses cold water at the beginning
you have so many robot vacuum cleaners, we need only one to replace our old Roborock s5. Which one do you recommend? :)

yes you are correct, dreame avoids it and roborock does not
Thank you
Did you buy both with your own money?
yes
Can I ask what you would choose between the Qrevo MaxV vs S8 Ultra Pro?
s8 maxv has better obsicale avoidance, and lifts its pads higher
@@JustADad thanks! I actually meant Qrevo MaxV compared to the regular S8 Pro
Help what better buy dreame l10s ultra vs Roborock Q Revo
The Qrevo MaxV has been updated and should be much better in the obsticle avoidence test.
Hello, so which product do you think we should buy?
neither, they just released a New Qrevo Pro that I love, or the dreame X40 or the eufy S1 Pr. things are changing so fast now

Your videos are good.
I appreciate that!
Just picked up the S8 MaxV Ultra for $990 plus tax!!!
Where can get this offer?
They did qrevo worse without those extra lasers S8 has. Just on purpose.
Even 2cm isn't that much of a lift for the pad.
