- It is still work in progress, but here my current setup! The main purpose for my van is daily use, I'm a full time Mountain Bike coach in Bentonville, Arkansas. Daily I'm taking my bikes in and out of my van... But, I also love camping and riding moto. I came up with a system that I can lower the bed myself, still have the bicycles below it and if I want to I can bring my dirt bike too! And the plus side of it all is that the bed system from Ikea was super cheap! If you have any questions, drop them in the comments below and I will try to answer them!
Happy trails!

Great job, thanks for sharing the information.
Nice build! I love that the bikes can be stored fully intact without having to remove the front wheel and yet still have room for the bed. Almost every other van build that I've seen doesn't leave enough room for the bikes.
Yes, that was one of my main goals! And I still have plenty of space and room above my head while I am in bed!
Great setup and you’ve done an amazing job! I always love each persons adaptation to their van for what they need! So much personality in each build. Keep it up and you are right, it will never be done, but as long as it is done enough to use that’s what is important.
Thanks Jeff! Looking forward to show it to you soon! :)
Hi, great idea!
I have seen other van bed boards where they have drilled out (hole saw bit) a bunch of 2”-3” inch holes in the bed boards. Apparently, this this lets your mattress breathe better and would lighten the plywood pieces.
Thats one huge bed! Great job! Very cool you can still store your bikes underneath
Thanks!
Simple, but ingenious! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks!
Hey its good to see you, again (virtually) Hope you are well. I want to get down to where you are and have you give me some lessons!!
Yes! Would love to help. Please visit: www.crankitupmtb.com and send me an email to set something up!
Great job. I do prefer these multi purpose bike/camper van builds compared to full campers.
Also I love figuring out cheap tricks to make setups simpler and easier to use.
Awesome cool build 🤘❤❤❤👍
Thank you Tomas!
I like that setup, so simple and useful! Seems to be the best bang for the buck setup I have seen.
I love it
Mooi bussie! Ziet er gaaf uit! Zit er ook een kookgelegenheid bij? Succes met de verder afbouw.
Bedankt! Nee, heb ik nog niet... Ik wil eerst even kijken of dat ik het echt nodig heb. Tot nu toe nog niet, en ik vind de extra ruimte die ik nu nog heb wel fijn!
What did you use for the adjustable "slider bars" under the OneUp racks? Looks like you've bolted things directly to the van floor, right? I need to go look at more of your van videos, but didn't see any L-track or similar embedded in floor for flexibility
By the way, hope your recovery is progressing well
Hi Peter! I used a Aluminum T-Slotted Extrusion with One Open T-Slotbolted and I mounted that to the floor. Used flat headed bolts that I had to grind down slightly to fit in the tracks.
Nice practical setup! For the aluminum extrusion you have the racks mounted to, did you just screw them to the factory flooring you have, or did you bolt them all the way through the van? Thanks in advance!
Great video. I have one of those moto mounts. They’re awesome. Do you have the ikea link by chance?
Do you have a link for the bicycle lock down?
#wedenkenmetjemee ;o)
do you smell gas from the motorcycle?
