    After graduating college and landing a "professional" job as a developer in a corporate office environment, I was told, "Welcome to the real world." But after 2 years now, I'm realizing that working for someone else is also in a way, a fake environment. To me, entrepreneurs are the ones who live in the real world.

    Gary hits such an important point about people getting scared when older from all the times others said "no" to them when young. We're conditioned this way by both people and our mind (which is trying to protect us) and can really hold us back into adulthood

    When i was a kid, i got the mail and found small business int he back of any magazine. I sold Christmas cards door - door the night before in the rain. I made about $40 in 1972. I started a babysitting service, $1 hour for three hours. I picked up the kids at 9 am in a wagon, took them home at noon. All from my own desire- i never based it on the money- if i could imagine it- i did it. I was in a flow all the time. I enjoyed the entire process.

    #Learnings:-
    1) "No" & "Losing" are your Best Friends.
    2) Losing is awesome 'cause you deserved it, as someone was better than you.
    3) Getting somebody to say "No" is awesome as it means what you tried to do right now didn't work.
    4) Fake environment. (Protected) destroys actual confidence.
    5) We're lucky to born in this era of Internet.
    6) Everybody is capable of building a $100K business(through Channels, selling Products/Services) if one invests time & a lot of efforts & have skill.
    7) Those people who have built Real Businesses aren't an anomaly, rather a Preview.
    8) Love what you do, don't just blindly run after money.

The area that I live in is very poor and has little to no jobs around besides fast food. I’m very interested in becoming my own boss and working with stocks, whole selling, and just everything there is to know about passive income. I just have no clue where to start. I love Gary V..... But I don't like how he has such a limited belief on exactly what people are capable of. He said the other day that his kid told him he wants to play basketball, and he told him straight up "you will not be the next lebron. And you will not even play in the NBA. But if you try your very best and give your all, you can be a great state championship player".... The fact that Gary V is super successful and very well liked amongst his followers does not excuse the fact that this is a very limited frame of mind to be placing into a child, let alone his own child. Especially coming from an immigrant who has grown his own brand to hundreds of millions of dollars. In other words "I can do it, but you should settle for second best". In this interview, in which he has the subconscious attention of many young aspiring entrepreneurs, he has just placed into their mind a limit of $100,000 that they can make per year online, and told them to be happy with it if they achieve it! That this is an "Amazing" amount of money. Look, as i said, I love Gary V..... But the fact is this: ANYONE IS CAPABLE OF ANYTHING!!! And yes Gary, the next generation of world class NBA players right now today are KIDS!! Just like yours. But the ones who make it will be the ones who do so by building an 'I CAN DO ANYTHING' attitude throughout their childhood and teens and into their adulthood. Unfortunately your kid will not, but that's your words, not his. And if that room of aspiring entrepreneurs take your advice to heart, them poor kids will never be the millionaires they dreamed of being before your speech. Again, I've much love for you and you give some great advice, but you speak too much based on statistics. Of course only a few make it, anyone can see that fact. But the ones who do, are the ones who think unreasonably. You said many times "Not everyone can be an entrepreneur, It's either in your DNA or it ain't".... With all due respect pal, BULLSHIT!!!!!!!! If history has proven anything, it is that ANYONE CAN DO ANYTHING!!! PERIOD

      @berealrelentless6237 5 років тому

      @wayneDonoghue, I agree with Gary on this. The overall "thing" in this situation is being self-aware. With this situation, Gary was aware of the factors involved to be in the NBA, 1. hes in the know with regard to NBA, Pro-athletes, coaches, the lifestyle, basically all the things "regular" people usually are not involved with. 2. and I think this is the "kicker" Gary is well aware of his genetics and how it will pass on to his son. Facts. Gary is not 6ft, not a physical person. Please don't get it twisted, we are talking facts, generations of under 6ft, don't just all of sudden pop out 6'5" child with muscle physique and natural abilities that were not already in the blood line. I think this is what Gary is meaning by the statement. I agree with anyone can do anything, but being successful at all those "anythings", ESP. a PRO-athlete in 2030, when his child, I think, still wont be out of high-school or close to it. Someone from the slums of an African country, or jungle of Brazil, or tundra of Mongolia can become a billionaire when their 5 previous generations never went above thee poverty line. But when it comes to have the heart, passion, and drive to be that "anything" I agree is do-able, but when you have to add the physical aspect along with th others...its not likely. Lastly, I never say never, or impossible....But practicality is a MF huge thing to be aware of. Be well all, and strive for your "anything" cause being a state champion is a rarity and F'n awesome, Not being the "BEST' is by no means a fail.

      I know people who are incredibly wealthy who are some of the most unhappy people I know. They're unhappy because they made their money taking advantage of people, stabbing people in the back and doing whatever it took to win at all costs. Now they're lonely and trying to buy friends but their programming is so deep that they do the same things to those people and they leave them too. They're desperately lonely and deep down know they played the game wrong. Not everyone who is rich is like that, there are many people who are very wealthy and also very happy, but the unhappy wealthy person is for real.
