- Bowser is one of the most iconic game characters ever, so what if he got his own game? I wanna create an accurate concept for him, but.. theres gonna be some issues
Ever since the first super mario bros game in 1985, bowser’s been THE bad guy. He was created to be the arch enemy and final boss of mario and luigi, and would kidnap princess peach.
From then on, this was mostly all he did
Until, *eventually*, nintendo started really developing his character into the deep, troubled, thought provoking turtle we see today.

Bowsers inside story was kinda that. And the best mario rpg ever made. So more like this ? Sounds nice.
Mario and Luigi are still in the title of the game and playable, so not really. It's the closest thing we have though.

Not really. Several parts of the game locked you out of playing as Bowser for no real reason meanwhile the only time you can't switch to the bros is one part of the prologue. Even several of Bowser's bosses make you play as them but the same never happens in reverse. Bowser doesn't even get his challenge gauntlet or boss rush
@gamesier2400 Fawful mightve carried, but playing as Bowser was so much fun and is part of the reason that Bowser's Inside Story was the highest grossing Mario RPG for years.
To me the ideal plot for a Bowser game is
-New Villain comes in and kidnaps Peach.
-Mario and Luigi go to rescue her, but are defeated and captured themselves.
-Bowser gets news of this and says something along the lines of "This joker thinks he can come onto MY turf, steal MY princess, defeat MY nemesis and get away with it?!"
-Begin game

@@caidendixon1609 Yeah, and Bowser's motive being "Stick it to some jerk who thinks he can steal my thunder" is all he needed there, and in Thousand Year Door, and Mario RPG.
That Bowser line invoked an image of him reading the news on a newspaper, then he says that while slamming it down on the coffee table and standing up.

So basically, a Bowser game would be a hack n' slash, but with more movement options and the addition of power ups.
I also kind of like he idea of having slope physics of some kind, so when you spin in your shell, If you were to spin down a slope, you’d bash into enemies with much more force.

I've seen someone on Reddit give out the idea of Bowser fighting other villains that try to move in on his turf and I have to say the idea has merit.
Return of Fawful, Cackletta, Dimentio and a bunch of other iconic baddies?

Maybe there could be a bit of strategy and stuff for those that want it in the form of keeping the minions prepared, trained, upgraded, and moved around to back up Bowser in fights, so we have the main leaders and an army of little baddies between them.
I feel like this game could be an excuse to finally make Toads enemies, as this is a Bowser game. Have the villain brainwash them.
I was thinking the same thing. My idea for Toads being possessed is either them being imprisoned in these Mech suits like Badniks from Sonic, or just simple robots designed to look like Toads. The bosses would be the main Mario characters who are the Gate Keepers of each guarding a powerful weapon for Bowser to steal.

@@mariobroultimate1808 Because Toads aren't really fighters compared to Bowser's Minions. Which is where the Mech suits come in. Basically think of like that Jail enemy from BIS that imprisons some Bowser's minions who will only help him once freed.

@@mariobroultimate1808 Most of those are from Spin-offs and are usually a specific character, not the species as a whole. If that were the case, Peach's kingdom wouldn't be easily invaded by Bowser.
A purely Bowser focused game is also something I've wanted for AGES, and it's something as of recent times that I've tried to think of a hypothetical story idea for. Set in some place and focusing around something new without it solely being focused around the Mushroom Kingdom (while still acknowledging it). Something that could still incapsulate Bowser's status as a villain, while still having him mostly be out for himself without having to directly conflict the actual good guys, or flip on a dime to be just a "hero" himself.
Here's the idea of the story I was thinking of;
Bowser could be chilling in his kingdom, busy pondering his next big scheme to seize the Mushroom Kingdom and mess with Mario, then suddenly his kingdom is under siege by creatures from a far away land led by another villain. This villain uses their magic to not only imprison the Koopalings and a good chunk of Bowser's minions, but also poof them and Bowser's entire kingdom away, replacing it with their own kingdom, so that they can be the new source of evil to contest the Mushroom Kingdom. All the while, Bowser's kingdom is sent away to the villain's homeland for its savage residents to, in theory, surround Bowser on all sides and finish him off. This is where the game would start, with Bowser not taking this lying down and using whatever he's got to fight tooth and nail to get his minions and the Koopalings back, taking over the new land in the process.
The Koopalings this time around could be the things Bowser would have to rescue as he progresses to each area, maybe allowing him to access new abilities after each one is saved. There could also be portions or levels centering around Bowser using his minions in big army battles, or even stages where Bowser's a giant and wrecks stuff. All this eventually leading to Bowser storming into a castle to face the homeland's sadistic royalty, which after her defeat, Bowser proceeds to do a very Bowser move by kidnapping said royalty so he can coax the villain into coming back for a fight, JUST as they were on the Mushroom Kingdom's doorstep about to fight Peach and the Mario Bros. Of course they return and have one final showdown with Bowser, and the story "ends" with the villain sending Bowser's kingdom back where it was.
It's a bit of a rough summation of my basic thoughts, but what I think could be a fun pitch for a Bowser game.
Sound like a mix of partners in time and bowsers inside story, with some 3ds-edition minion battles thrown in. Could be interesting with new villains.
Here’s my idea.
One morning, Bowser is woken up by Kamek, who reveals his army has vanished. It turns out that the various the kings and leaders Bowser works with (King Bob-omb, Goomboss, etc) have all resigned and turned on the Koopa king. Bowser would then go after each of them and show them all who the real king is.
Bowser’s castle would serve as a hub world and parts of it would unlock as the game progresses. As you defeat the leaders and gain back more of your army, the castle will become more populated and more benefits will become available to you.
I have two ideas as to who the villain might be.
1. King Boo. He is Bowser’s least loyal servant and has been shown scheming and plotting all on his own throughout the Luigi’s Mansion games. His trickster personality would make for great Bowser interactions.
Or
2. Bowser’s dad. What if Bowser’s dad wasn’t dead like what has been implied since Yoshi’s island. What if the bigger badder Koopa Lord was just trapped somewhere and has come back to take over the kingdom, with Bowser having to stop him.
For .2 Why not Bowser's Brother from The Lost Levels?
Unless brainwashing is involved, this is extremely out of character for 99% of Bowser's entire army. Only a tiny bit of Bowser's minions would willingly betray him. If brainwashing is involved I have no problems with this idea it's great :)
With the exception of King Boo, who's the only real wild card in Bowser's Army, all his minions are fiercely loyal to him, and would only turn against him if brainwashing is involved
King boo could posses all his minions and the other bad guys like king bob omb and Petey Piranha
If king boo is the main villain, perhaps he has come across some powerful treasure or created some kind of curse like he did in luigi's mansion dark moon. Then he can make browser's army go "boo-serk," not only betraying bowser but also wreaking havoc on their own respective territories. And as each boss is defeated and returns to their senses, another puzzle piece is unlocked for bowser to realize who was behind it all. I mean, wouldn't it be cool for the main villain to have been a suprise the whole time? Heck, king boo could even pretend to have been on browser's side the entire game until the final clue is put in place. And while the reveal happens, king boo overtakes browser's castle hub, turning it into a haunted Paradise or something, that way the final end circles back to the beginning. King boo boss fight in browser's throne room perhaps? Idk I just think it'd be pretty neat.
A physics-based destruction game with Bowser would go HARD.
Mario RPG opened a new depth for Bowser. He utilized capturing the Princess for power, not love, making him an epic villain instead of just silly. Even if he says he “loved her”, he’s not into what she wants.
Taking everything into account, Bowser's motive for wanting Peach in his clutches seems to be both power AND improperly-expressed love.
It's still the Mario franchise, there should always a good portion of silly to balance out the serious
Probably the best plot would be Bowser getting overthrown by another force and becoming the hero pretty much out of spite. He’d probably free Mario and Luigi just to rub it in their faces.
But seriously he NEEDS to be next in line. Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad all have unique games with unique playstyles. It’s his turn! The raw power, fire breathing, the clown car, he could use Kamek to transform him like he has throughout the series, it would be so fun!
And just mentioning a rival series for a quick second, I really would like to see the Blue Blur’s archnemesis get the spotlight too.

I have a proposal as to what to call the genre this hypothetical Bowser game would be; Power-Platformer - emblematic of the raw strength that the main character possesses.
Like the Wario Land games and Pizza Tower but replace speed with strength
I feel like your solution for getting rid of Mario and Luigi wouldn't paint them in the best light. Maybe just have the new enemy overpower them instead, forcing Bowser to be the one to save the day.

I imagine a Bowser game being some around the lines of the Mario characters being possessed and attacking Bowser's kingdom as usually in Mario games, Bowser's usually the first to invade so having the roles switched would forced him to take action. Now the Mario characters wouldn't "Necessarily" be evil while being possessed, more of just trying to protect everyone as they're turned in body guards for the "Hero" who's kingdom has been attacked by Bowser before.

If you do have a DS and you do want to buy it then there's the remake and the original version which is up to you to decide. The remake is good and my preferred but I know some people like the original DS one better. Trust me *YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!* It's one of the best Nintendo games I've ever played. If you really can't get the game maybe watch a lets play or something.

The opening character deduction is immediately flawed. Bowser knows he's evil and he loves it.
Bowser didn't have a son at the beginning of the series. Heck, he wasn't even shown to have feelings for Peach until at least a decade after his debut.
Bowser's character was first developed in Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario, and was further fleshed out by later mainline games and other RPGs.
The movie version of Bowser is an entirely different character with a different personality and different motivations.
He's never shown to be a secretly deep character. He's just an evil guy that loves being evil, wants to take over the world, hates Mario, cares about his minions, and loves his son.
Bowser's Inside Story is the deepest dive we've ever gotten into his character, and it shouldn't be discounted simply because it's an RPG, because it's perfectly in line with all the other games that put more personality into Bowser.
Not to mention, Bowser Jr and the Koopalings get a TON of characterization in the RPGs as well. They're not as mysterious as you'd think.
yeah he's basically a cartoonish villain who enjoys being the bad guy and showing off, kind of like a Megamind before his character development, but generally angrier and more petty
In fairness, he is typically displayed as "evil" in those games in a way that implies the man just thinks it means Macho or something similar. It is entirely fair to say he doesn't fully understand the meaning of the word, and that most of the plans not involving kidnapping Peach for romantic reasons were probably in some way suggested by Kamek trying to keep their kingdom afloat (if I recall right the last one before Bowser tried to become a one man band was 3D World, where he was just kidnapping fairies for infrastructure work reasons) and the kidnapping Peach ones after the first two or three games where he was just trying to avoid her turning the Toads back from blocks were pretty obviously poorly expressed romance because see above bit about him not understanding the difference between macho and evil.
@@theendersmirk5851 I think the fact he was willing to turn toads into blocks in the first place shows how evil he is. He's done full fledged terrorist attacks in games like Super Mario Galaxy and Paper Jam. As you said, he turned Toads into inanimate objects in the original Super Mario Bros. He transformed Kings into animals in SMB3. He's enslaved Toads in Paper Jam, forcing them to mine crystals for him.
He's not _evil_ evil. Unlike the movie, he wouldn't sacrifice and kill a bunch of people for fun. He's definitely more evil in a bullying sort of way. He said in Origami King that he wouldn't stoop so low as to kill a bunch of Toads, and I believe that. Bowser also cares a TON about his minions and accepts them despite literally betraying him in some of the RPGs.
But he definitely doesn't secretly think he's the good guy. He likes being mean.
Kamek also tends to just submit to Bowser's will. Kamek is really smart, but he'll do whatever Bowser says. He's disagreed with Bowser on some of the stuff he does, but ultimately he'll end up listening to him over all else.
@@DaNintendude yeah, but also Kamek is the one with enough brain cells to suggest plans that have a chance of succeeding to Bowser. Once Bowser is on the warpath there is zero chance of dissuading him, but I kinda doubt the idea that Kamek never suggests plans of action for Bowser to start down. Dude is smart enough to give plans. And yeah, he's not exactly a good guy, I'm more saying in many ways he's an idiot with a loose concept of morality that's more based on looking tough meaning "evil" than any other definition.
@@theendersmirk5851 Kamek may indeed suggest plans, I'm just saying that Bowser doesn't just do evil things because Kamek suggested them. Kamek is about as evil as Bowser is. I don't think he'd be willing to kill anybody either. I wouldn't be surprised if he was actually _less_ willing to kill than Bowser.
Bowser has attacked Peach out of anger on a few occasions, despite being in love with her. He's willing to hurt her when he loses his temper or-- in the case of Paper Jam-- when Mario beats up his son.
I really like this idea! Imagine the ending being Mario and Luigi stomping Bowser, but Peach has a cake delivered to him as a “thank you” gift akin to Bowser’s Inside Story.
I feel like I could add my own take on these ideas:
- the Bowser game would called something like Bowser's Crash-N'-Burn.
- The game would have platforming and hack-n-slash elements defeating hordes of enemies and platforming tricky obstacles.
- As the name suggests, levels would have you smash through thick blocks and the scenery as the screen shakes and clutters with debris.
- imagine a game combining the Mario Odyssey finale with Devil May Cry and AntonBlast.
- Instead of "Trevor", what if the main villain was some Ice King that rivals Bowser's fire abilities (similar to Peach vs Grape).
(No, not King Penguin although he could make an appearance)
- Mario, Luigi, and Peach have been frozen by the Ice King while Bowser Jr has been corrupted by him to fight against Bowser.
- Bosses would be big tough, and use a health bar (rather than the typical 3 hits) so Bowser can rapidly attack the bosses.
For the Mario and Luigi situation, honestly it could just be Mario and Luigi butting heads with Bowser as they keep running into eachother while they’re trying to save the kingdom in the story while Bowsers just trying to get his son back. Bowser just being there as the plumber bros are doing their own things.
I think a Bowser hack and slash would fit the genere of the game. Just add unique platforming ideas and BAM, Bowser Game.
Mario and Luigi could be rivals to Bowser. Not directly villainous but just... hinderances for Bowser, small boss fights ending in the plumbers running away or "Shovel Knight in Plague Of Shadow"-ing Bowser at the end.

EDIT: A good idea for the koopalings is that the koopalings are bosses possessed by the black goop, and after you beat one, the koopaling joins you. You can activate their abilities like how Link activates sage abilities in Totk.
A Bowser pikmin-like game similar to Mario Odyssey where troops like Goobers could be stacked to form ladders, Koopas could be thrown and Piranhas plants could be used to swing over large gaps

I think the ending of the bowser game is that mario, luigi and peach throw a party for bowser saving the kingdom just for bowser to kidnap peach and start the introduction to the next mario game
I love all the ideas you gave here, and I think piggybacking off of games like bowser’s inside story and bowser’s minions could make a really fleshed out bowser game. I liked the idea of having a game where he’s utilizing his minions to defend his castle (tower defense). It could include all the villains and really flesh out all of their roles in the Mario universe and teach us about concepts of conflict and struggle between nations/kingdoms. It could even include the Princess’s and Pauline as well!
That ending is really cool, I like to think after Bowser leaves without anyone knowing he saved everyone, Bowser Jr. looks up at him and says “you’re my hero” or smth. It’d be a sweet ending that preserves the status quo
I feel like for a Bowser game we would make a completely new main enemy like they do in the RPGs. It would be cool if the enemy possessed Mario and Luigi so Bowser would have to fight against them at some point. Bowser could be trying to reclaim his castle that has been taken over by the main enemy and rescue Peach.
The main enemy would also control Bowser’s minions so you would have to fight them.
If I were to make a Bowser game, I would make it 3-D combining elements from super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario 3-D world, and super Mario Brothers wonder.
As for a story it’s very simple a dragon king shows up and takes over every kingdom, including the mushroom kingdom and Bowser’s kingdom Bowser and his minions try fighting back, but the dragon king succeeded and kidnap both Bowser, junior, and the koopalings so now it’s up to Bowser to save the day. I know it’s basic.
For Mario and Luigi, I have an idea. The villain could possess them and they would be like a duo boss that would protect the final boss. After being defeated and regaining their senses, they are too weakened and the villain ejects them from the castle, and it is therefore up to Bowser to begin the final fight.
Oh I got an idea, at the start of the game, bowser and bowser jr are on holiday, wanting a break form the Mario bros kicking their butts after the failed vacations of sunshine and bowser’s fury, with kamek watching over the koopa kingdom, however, during that time, the villain of the game appears, kidnapping peach, manages to defeat and captures the Mario bros, and the koopalings, taking over peach’s castle, and blows up their castle too, putting their evil mug all over the mushroom kingdom, bowser and bowser jr return to see the mess, and bowser is furious after kamek tells them the news, and decides to get some well deserved revenge on this villian.

I definitely feel like a lot of these ideas could work well. Though looking to Bowser's Inside Story for a bit more inspiration could probably prove to be useful for a second attempt, especially considering how a couple of the points mentioned were...literally already done by Bowser's Inside Story, while you treated them like new concepts.
I like this idea! I do think it’d be a cool twist to have Bowser be king of the Mushroom kingdom with everyone seeing him as the pinnacle of stability against the goo. Kinda like Doctor Doom and Latveria. Then Mario and Luigi come back and see their home ruled by their greatest enemy, Setting up a sequel.

Ive wanted a Bowser focused game forever!!! We all have!!! It would be an instant success and money printer for Nintendo, they need to make that shit already. Ever since Odyssey ive been hoping that the end sequence where u control bowser was a bit of a test from Nintendo to see how well Bowser plays and how fans respond to playing as him.
When I read the title, I was going to say that this game already existed (Mario and Luigi: Bowser's inside story) but after watching the video your idea sounds really good for a "Solo" Bowser game!

dudeee I'd love to hear about a Waluigi game! I actually heard a concept for it a while back where the story is that Nintendo *was* working on it but left every level intentionally unfinished because they didn't like the character. Waluigi is then given a pair of joy-cons to input "cheat codes" and beat the levels that way. then at the end of the game, the joy-cons are taken away, and it's proven that every level can be completed without cheating, and you have to go through each level again. while that ending bit sounds a kinda tedious, I think having the game be of shorter length or having the ending section be one level from each world could fix that.

My pitch: the villain is a female koppa, who would be Bowser Jr.s mother, she takes her son back. So the whole game would play like a custody battle with bowser getting his son back. She hires the koopalings as world bosses since they would want to each prove their better kids than Bowser Jr.
The closest we’ve ever come to one is Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story.

Having them be fighting against this threat seperately from bowser, however getting captured and defeated throughout the story
Similar to shadow the hedgehog, where sonic was in the game and did fight against the black arms, but he was only able to help shadow, as shadow was the only one able to beat the black arms
Having mario and kuigi take a backseat role where tthey try to help out bowser from behind the scenes or something could work
Maybe they storm the final enemies castle or whatever before bowser and you get to watch them fight the final boss but fail
And during the fight theyd help out, dealing small attacks to the final boss, however bowser wouldnt be working with them and could also attack them if they get in his way
Mario and luigi would be npcs that fight seperately, but could also be damaged by bowser as well, showing that bowser works alone
Maybe they would get in his way a bit, attacking bowsers soilders like koopas and throwing shells at the boss, dealing damage but causing you to lose troops
I dont think purely removing mario and luigi would be the best way to go about it, but underpowering them, maybe even having them be taken over by the goo at one point and having bowser fight thm would be a cool addition to the game
But as for genre, a bowser game needs to be a strategy game allowing you to command the various minins of bowsers army, maybe obtaining more minions through the game, similar to bowsers inside story

I’d like to think that a Bowser game would be focused on issues surrounding the bad guys in general. Specifically the kings such as king Boo, King Bomb Omb, King Goomba ect… They all clearly follow under Bowser’s rule, but what if they decided to part ways, I mean Bowser has only lost to Mario like at least 100% of the time. So it make since that they would split from Bowser’s rule, so perhaps a game could be focused on large armies battling each other. Though this sounds more like an idea from the Mario & Luigi series

1:19 No. Please do more research next time. Bowser has called himself the bad guy DOZENS OF TIMES and takes PRIDE in being evil. He knows he's evil and loves it. Besides, Peach is just a bonus. She is not his main goal. His main goal is to take over the universe, having Peach as his wife is just a neat + for him. Some of Bowser's plots didn't even involve Peach at all! In Mario 3D World, he goes to the Sprixie kingdom and tries to take over that,in mario wonder Peach is right there but he's more focused on taking over the universe than kidnapping her. In paper jam, he and Paper Bowser don't even bat an eye when she escapes. Bowser wants to rule the universe with an iron fist and wants Peach to be his trophy wife.
I like it, only difference is that I would put the minibosses should be the kooplings and once they get Trevor removed from them (which could be done with fire when they are stunned) they become helpers he can call upon for puzzles and combat (ideally he’d call upon various troops for assistance, each would be unique)
For buttons, X and Y would be light and heavy respectively, B would be jump (chargable) and A would be firebreathing (can be held); R would be grab/grapple/interact and would summon a troop
Bowser could gain outfits by doing challenges in-game (finishing in X mode, killing X amount of enemies, finding all the stars and so on) and likely there would be some DLCs for outfits and levels + some big pre-order outfit (maybe the Mario Movie outfit with Jack Black’s voice)
In the games Bowser is in love with Peach and that’s why he kidnaps her. (and also so his son can have a mother)

I was just thinking about this and man I would KILL for a tower defence game where you use Mario enemies to ward off mario and friends from entering his castle.
I don't like your idea for this game's villain. We've already dealt with the goop in Bowser's Fury, and just having it possess Bowser Jr. just comes off as repeating ideas and laziness rather than being creative. I get that designing an actual new villain would be hard, but you could always hire an OC/character designer to help with that.

You can just make up your own Koopaling OC and challenge the other elite members of Bowser's Castle to strategic minion battles.

Honestly, I kinda like Bowser being a bad guy. But honestly, just give him someone’s rival with. Saving people for his own selfish purpose. It’s be more like Mario and Luigi Bowser‘s inside story, that’s good with me.
I feel like a Bowser game would need a moment where Bowser grows gigantic and wreaks havoc to achieve his goal. Either final boss battle or special stages.
The soundtrack would need to go HARD. Metal orchestra is what I think.

I really like the idea (and I’ve thought of this myself before as well) that we start in the volcano level and progress to the grass plains, think that would be a fun twist.
The black goo was actually bowser jr painting on him for a prank because he wouldn’t do anything with him. Bowser ended up getting mad and fuses with the paint creating the giant creature
imo it would be like bowsers inside story, which in a way could be said to be more of a bowser game than a mario game (60/40 ish). it also gives a good foundation for a bowser games story: new bad guy mussels in on bowsers turf, he can't abide that so now he has to smack them down a peg or a thousand. useing his powers and his minions to beat enemies and perhaps solve occasional pussles. it worked in turn based form and would probably work in free roam form.
I would love the genre to be like a 3d platformer with heavy combat mechanics. There could be levels where Bowser storms his castles that have been taken over by the goop and tower defense levels where Bowser's last remaining castle becomes under siege and you have to upgrade it throughout the game. Then during the siege levels, you have to run around the castle fighting enemies with your troops while simultaneously keeping all your defenses functional. Certain upgrades could help make the base easier to traverse or add more troop barracks, or new defenses. Then for post game content, there would be a survival mode with rouge like elements
I love this, except for one thing. I wouldn't send Mario and Luigi on vacation. Rather, they, along with Peach, Toad, and Yoshi would become possessed monsters.
The goal of the game would be working backwards and saving a different Koopaling in each castle, along the way to the Mushroom Kingdom. With each Koopaling you save, you gain more power and more minions. You have to fight the possessed heroes as bosses. And in the end, the true villain and orchestrater of this plot is revealed to be none other than the Shroobs from Partners in Time, who seek to turn Peach into a new Princess Shroob after their Princess was killed.
I feel like the reason Bowser wants to be a conqueror and kidnaps Peach instead of trying to win her heart the normal way is because Kamek taught him evil. I actually wonder what happened to Bowser's real father. Would he taught him good, or was Kamek actually a blessing and the reason Bowser isn't just pure evil?
Well, The ideas were great for the game concept. However if I were to do it, I'm making things more... interesting:
Game title: "Super Bowser Adventure" or "King Bowser's Story"
Genre: "3D Wide Open Sandbox with Beat'em Up"
The story starts off with Bowser having a normal day in the Koopa Kingdom, casually chatting with the residents and having a good time with Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings whenever he's not planning to troll the good guys like he usually does, but when he was about to read some latest documents submitted to him which involves expanding the Kingdom in a unique way rather than attacking the Mushroom Kingdom al the time, an unknown enemy begins to attack.
This new Enemy is a much bigger threat like you said, and The Enemy strikes first by possessing Bowser Jr, Kamek and a random Koopa Troopa, serving as a tutorial for the battles in the game. YES, You heard it, because I plan for Bowser Jr, Kamek and Koopa Troopa to be optionally playable characters as P2, P3 and P4 in Local (Split-Screen mode - Only available if the Nintendo Switch device is docked)/Online Multiplayer Mode. After defeating Bowser Jr, Kamek and Koopa Troopa, they became playable (Optional) allies to Bowser. The Enemy then begins to attack the castle, prompting Bowser, Bowser Jr, Kamek and Koopa Troopa to evacuate the kingdom. The Koopalings also assist, only for some flying ships to bomb the area, destroying the castle and having captured the Koopa Army. This is where the game proper begins.
First, the player has Bowser attack the New Enemy's minions, clearing them and their filth from the Koopa Kingdom's Castle. When that is successful, the New Enemy retreats, having apparently enough knowledge about the Koopa Kingdom, and decided to not only make the captured minions turn against Bowser but also making their own minions. Back at the castle, Bowser Jr. starts panicking because the Koopalings were also captured so Koopa Troopa is to calm Bowser Jr. down. Kamek then does a research on this new enemy that has just attacked. I'm calling the new enemy: The Titan Empire.
What if…
We gave Bowser a GUN( double barrel shotgun specifically)
Plot: bowser, somehow has Giga-Bowser separated from him, and kidnapps bowser jr. and the koopalings.
Gameplay: 3d beat em up, enemies: possesed koopas and toads, followed up by enemies from sarasaland, etc...
Possibility to work: 50/50

I feel that adding Hack-n-Slash elements to the platforming would be perfect for a Bowser game, and he could use some attacks inspired in his fights over the games or even his Smash moveset

I definitely think a strategy RPG like the Mario & Luigi games would be perfect for a Bowser game. You could have Bowser and two Koopalings with the rest in reserve that can be switched out in combat and it would be similar to Mario and Rabbids. Bowser and the Koopalings could also have their own classes on power (Bowser, Roy, and Morton), speed (Wendy, Larry, and Jr.), and ailments (such as slowness to move less spaces, burning/poison, and stunning/freezing, for Iggy, Ludwig, and Lemmy) in their skill sets. Power does more damage but less spaces to move around in, speed gets more movement but less damage, and ailments are the in the middle of those of mobility and damage. There could also be critical hit chance at random and speed where power characters have to wait longer for a turn while speed characters don’t have to as much. You could also delay enemies using the right class that matches the icon(s).
So that’s how I would implement combat into a Bowser game, especially if the Koopalings are involved in some way.

I kinda think it would be a better idea to have had Peach kidnapped by a new villain and have Mario and Luigi initially attempt to rescue her and subsequently fail. I personally think Bowser initially wouldn't care to rescue peach himself, and would instead be frustrated because nobody kidnaps Peach but him. I don't think it's a strong enough idea to have him personally involved though, as historically Bowser has always sent his minions to kidnap Peach. He would sent away the Koopalings as well as Bowser Jr, who would each subsequently get transformed into monsters by this black goop and Bowser would have a Thanos "fine, I'll do it myself" type moment of having to go through 8 worlds to reclaim his minions from the goop after having to fight them, their bosses more difficult than when Mario fights them; perhaps enhanced by the goop with their designs reflecting their unique abilities. Saving each one could unlock a new power up for Bowser in each following world, like the different abilities in Sonic: Superstars...until he reaches the final boss. To save his son, he would have to defeat the creator of the goop, some kind of dark entity that has trapped Peach, the brothers and most importantly...His Son. Bowser has a sort of "Fuck it" moment, he doesn't care to rescue the brothers or Peach, and could have an interesting monologue with the villain, regarding that Nobody kidnaps his Peach, Nobody but him will stomp the brothers and nobody would dare hurt his son. I like the idea you had of the Heroes being unaware Bowser saved the day, but I think that doesn't really work and would work better if they were all saved by him. He could require the powerful magics of all his koopalings to reverse the Goops effects with the Antagonist, Ganondorf style, destroying the entire area they're in with one last fit of rage. Bowser would already be out of there with his minions and son in tow but I think he could have an interesting Moral Dilemma here...the brothers are weak from their previous fight and would perish if he didn't intervene and he definitely couldn't just leave Peach to die ...I think he would reluctantly let them all tag along on his airship and leave together just this once...only to have tricked them and take Peach and have the end of the game switch roles where the person you'd spent all game playing as...then becomes the final boss after he pulls that switcheroo and you then play as Mario and or Luigi in one final boss gauntlet to save Peach
imo, maybe a short epilogue game after the events of Super Mario Bros, and Bowser attempts to get back at Mario for getting the princess back, but instead takes a detour and finds the Dream Machine.. and he uses that as the ultimate revenge against Mario.. which leads to the USA version of Super Mario Bros 2.
I still love this idea tho, just wanted to give my own.
