Only a few years ago, "Talking to" you computer was essentially just voice control, and if you didn't use specific pre-programmed phrasing, it had absolutely no idea what you were talking about. Now, You can carry out full conversations and have it write books (Even if they aren't good. Yet.) Not long ago, AI was incapable of making art, NOW it can make videos. (Again, usually not particularly good, but infinitely better than just a few years ago) And as we can see here, it may not be good at making games yet (Key word here is "Yet") It can, and that's more than can be said about it only a few years ago. And it is only getting better. In a couple decades, It might progress to the point that it can create a game on the same level as "Pick a AAA title" from a few simple prompts.

Yeah AI isn't Gonna be good enough for making GOOD video games and I'm also a game dev (currently learning python only know scratch) but I can proudly say I'm quite good at coding in scratch but yeah hope you become a good game dev one day!

When you say “make Mario game” the AI puts together a bunch of code from various tutorials that it doesn’t understand and gives you the code. This type of AI will never be able to make an actual video game, even with years of improvements, because it can only produce things from existing works. If you’re passionate about making video games, don’t let AI discourage you. Also, if you want to start learning how to make video games, there are many great tutorials all over the internet on how to get started, I’d recommend following a python tutorial if you don’t know anything about programming, or a Godot tutorial if you have a basic understanding of programming and want to go straight into making games with an engine.
The program is a cool way to practice coding for beginners, if it explains the steps for you, and how you can apply similar things in your own projects. That's the most I want from AI, some help, not do the work for me :(
