- EFF leader Julius Malema sat down with journalists on 25 June 2020 where he answered questions about the allegations that he benefitted from the VBS Mutual Bank scandal. Malema maintained his and the EFF’s innocence, saying that there was no proof that he was involved in the fraud that saw the bank close its doors.
I still support Vbs due to that it needs to be saved. So rescue the bank and arrest criminals

Julius is an extremely clever politician, however all his confident answers did is make him look even more guilty than before the interview. You won't find any direct link between him and VBS bank. Is Dali truly the most suitable representative the EFF could choose to address this issue? His arguments seem more about provoking debate rather than presenting substantive points. He also digresses to mention other parties and even laughs at his own jokes.
The matter at hand is straightforward: the EFF benefitted from VBS. They need to disclose the amount they received and the purpose of these funds. If it was a donation, why is it so difficult to declare it?
The bank card in question is the one that the vbs donation/funds were transferred into.
No chance! Dali only said the affidavit says EFF recieved donations and if Matodzi calls it donations then what is the case here. He spoke like an advocate instead rather than clarifying this issue. What confused people was Dali not denying the donation story.

I think Adv. Mpofu was saying, there is no case if Matodzi guy s affidavit says it was a loan. Dali was talking as an advocate instead of clarifying the matter. To him, the law doesn’t see donations as criminal activity. Of course he should have denied that the money was recieved and not confuse some people

The version remained correct. He only knew and met Matodzi only.
He never denied it. So Julius was right from the beginning that he did nothing wrong.

Not even a single criminal has ecer accepted the crime he or she committed. This wikl never be any different from the rest. But, Tshifhiwa Matodzi Affidavit remains unchallenged in court. Therefore, it is a basis for investigation and unless otherwise a prima facie legal document that points to the crime so committed by the accused.
