Hey, we're Chad and Paul. We lived a pretty typical life up until a few years ago. Chad was a speech-language pathologist and Paul was an attorney. We worked in New York City and by all means were set. But we didn't feel settled. We wanted something different. We started a bunch of online businesses, quit our 9-5's and now we live an unconventional life in our van (a Storyteller Overland MODE 4x4). Follow along with us on our journey.

The thing I like most about this set up is that it’s not bolted or welded in. I’ve seen other UA-cam channels that show how to weld/bolt a system like this and for most people this is impossible to do. Also it’s very permanent once its done. This seems like the perfect balance for most people.
100%! We are not down for drilling holes in our van, and it’s amazing that you can add some serious storage and seating solutions without a single hole drilled. Easy and straightforward install is huge.

Great setup for a Storyteller. I think a lot of people will be rethinking how they use the garage. Nice that someone like Canyon came along with so many options. Your van looks so organized and livable now. Got to be more relaxing to live in. Enjoy!

It’s the best!! We’re not fans of drilling holes into our van, and the fact that you can remove it and put it back in with no sweat is a total game changer.

CONGRATS BILL!!! You’re gonna love it. We have the Teton Sports Universal Camp Pad. Works great. We know some storyteller that sleep in the grove lounge permanently and use a more permanent mattress pad, but the roll up one works great for us.
@@ChadandPaul Thanks. I finally got a look at an actual Storyteller. I measured 3 ft under the bed. I also saw that I can remove the front wheel and lock down the fork.

@ChadandPaul, I think I really like the new van and can see that you guys are really enjoying it. Given this video is about mods, I’m curious about the temp monitoring system that was on your Travato, as a similar system does not seem to be on the Storyteller. In your CRVL video, you highlighted that monitoring system. I travel with pets and am ALWAYS concerned about temps and their safety. This means I’m often compromising my own interests to ensure I’m with them and can make sure RV temp is safe. Please provide me more info regarding what system you used in the Travato and your new rig, why you’ve chosen what you now use, how much it costs and where I can get it. THANK YOU!! Cheers,
Hey there! We use the Govee temp monitor for our dog- we still have it in our storyteller. We also have wyze cams so we can always monitor him from afar.

Alright these are beyond awesome. They really complete the STO. But I just looked up the prices...Oh my. Do you feel it's worth it? I just am having a hard time comprehending how something like that can cost over 3k. Seems a bit much. But I guess you're paying for custom builds...but then again it latches to the L system so they don't even have to do any van fabrication/mods...and the material, although nicely chosen, doesn't match that price point. Guess it's the norm for the times with van life. Everything is expensive. I want this life so badly, and this van with the GSS/CSS! Just crazy how overpriced everything seems. The Showtime curtain too...$795!? For fabric and a bar to hang it from? I just don't get it. Yes, quality stuff, but dang. Curious on your thoughts, fellas. Love you guys! New subscriber here.
Hey there! Good question! Canyon Adventure Vans, along with other companies like Owl Vans, Overland Gear Guy, etc., are all sourcing locally and manufacturing in America. The cost of everything has gone up up up. These are companies that don’t cut corners, and make the best products you can get on the market which is reflected in the price.
@@ChadandPaul Makes sense. Not buying some cheap crap on Amazon that was made in bulk with illegal or questionable labor! That's good to hear. I would definitely go with these guys, even if the price is high, knowing what I'm getting and that I'm supported a US small company. Now...to just get myself and STO! I can't wait!

Canyon Adventure Vans makes mediocre products at best, but they charge a kings ransom for. $5000 for a Revel bench system? Jason also talks shit about every other vendor he competes with. He's a money-grubber
