Hey, we're Chad and Paul. We lived a pretty typical life up until a few years ago. Chad was a speech-language pathologist and Paul was an attorney. We worked in New York City and by all means were set. But we didn't feel settled. We wanted something different. Love that John acknowledged that his ads pop up a lot. Its not a normal day unless I see him pop up at least three times.. He seems like a good guy so I dont mind.. Cool upgrades, cool new van. You ever think about adding the second water tank to the space you removed the spare from?
Ha! We see John every day too! Luckily he’s a cool guy and all his videos are super informative. We love the way the van look and the functionality of Owl Vans products- really cool stuff. We’re still debating on whether we opt for extra fuel or water where the spare was.

You guys read my mind. I love the 4.3 van compass kit.
With the new found space you’ve gained (old spare tire area), have you given any thought to an extra water tank? Or maybe a reserve Diesel tank? I’m on the fence. But can you imagine how awesome 40 fresh gallons of water or 48 gallons of Diesel would be? Alright, I’m daydreaming again.
Last question: did your Stealth come with the Sherpa style storage plates on the rear? I see them posted on the Storyteller web site. Don’t get me wrong, I love your current rear mounts and storage solution. Just wondered if that was a conscious effort on your part to delete, or order without (Sherpa stuff). Thanks again , boys. Hey there! The 4.3’s are game changers for sure! And yes we’re thinking about using the old spare space for extra storage- just not sure about what would be better- fuel or water? And the Stealth comes with the NVADER racks, but you can remove them and swap them out for whatever gear you want. Thanks for watching!!!

Are you guys still in the neighborhood or did you make this a while ago and you’re long gone? We live in a really pretty development across the bay in Walnut Creek and it would be very easy to stealth camp here. (I’m guessing, though, that you have plenty-o-friends in the Bay Area.)

Nice video! Question - the NVADER rack that comes with the 22 Stealth - that could hold the box and a spare tire also right? What is the reason to not use that? I have a Stealth coming in a couple months and want to be strategic with upgrades. Thx!
Hey Wasif! Good question. It’s personal preference- we love the owl vans set up and knew we wanted to get their full rear set up before we had heard about the NVADER rack. The good news is Storyteller designed the rack so you can either keep it and add gear to it, or easily remove it for other products based on preference. I have a feeling some Stealth owners will opt for the former, while others the latter. So it comes down to personal preference- aesthetically what you want it to look like, how you want it to function design-wise, etc.

Looks great! I have this van on order and am expecting a Feb delivery. What happened with the NVADER storage ?Were you able to order without or did you have them removed?
The Stealths come with the NVADER rack system, but you can remove them and use owl gear- whatever you prefer.
How much longer is the van with the tire and case in the back? Can you still easily fit in a standard size parking space?
Hey Randy- yea we can still fit in a standard spot. The box doesn’t add too much in length and with its height doesn’t get in the way. We tried parallel parking with it and didn’t have any issues.

It’s going to be insane! We’re debating weather or not to go with extra water or fuels storage down there.. still haven’t made up our minds.

Practical upgrades that also look good Have you weighed the van fully loaded now to see where how it fits into the manufacturers recommended limits?
We haven’t weighed it yet… and probably won’t (we were afraid to weigh our old van) haha. We feel confident even if we’re a bit heavy loaded (esp in the rear), the van compass will make for a more comfortable ride.

Did you get the large box because there are two of you ergo more space needed. I was thinking the medium one might be ok for one.
The large size is amazing- so much can be stored! We’ve found in a van that no matter how large or small the available storage is, you’ll find a way to grow into it! Lol
Are you still able to open the back doors pretty wide? Or does it restrict the back opening significantly?
Still able to open them very wide- doesn’t restrict the back opening which is what we wanted, since we love backing up to the beach, opening the rear doors and catching some vibes! hehe

So Owl Vans are now the one-stop shop? …Owl get the Van Compass/Falcon suspension and their techs can do the install of the spring/shock replacements for the customer? I thought I watched a video many moons ago, where John took his Revel to Van Compass, and he had Van Compass do the suspension upgrades. Owl Vans now has the capability to save that additional schedule and visit to another shop? (Cool to hear they have a Western triangle; NorCal/SoCal and Colorado!)
One last question (for the day), does the Owl spare tire mount system you guys had installed, does it have a way for you to lock 🔐 the tire/anti theft?

When you upgrade at Owl, what do they do with the old, removed equipment? Can they repurpose/sell or give you credit for the old shocks, leaf springs, Storyteller rear step, etc? Or, did you guys plan to just eBay the original parts?
Hey there! Yes- Owl Vans is able to install the Van Compass suspension upgrade. They have a whole new facility now dedicated to just installs with a great team. And yes for the tire all you need to do is a buy a lock to put through the hole to lock it. And I doubt owl would buy or give credit for old items removed- likely best to sell these yourself or pass them along to someone who'd like them.

Honestly, we were in love with the look of the Stealth and new that whatever mods we wanted to do, we wanted it to be the selenite grey. You really can't go wrong though.
Why didn’t you go with the nvader set up. Doesn’t it come with the stealth?
The stealth comes with the NVADER. Storyteller designed it in a way that if you’d prefer to remove it and put other gear on (ie owl vans) you can easily do so. It’s totally personal preference- whatever aesthetics and functionality you want for your van.
Chad and Paul Just curious why you didn't just have Owl Vans Wrap your old van a similar color and Stealth it up since you already had an amazing fully loaded STO?
Good question! We’re in love with the 2022 stealth features- that 27A output is going to really come in handy for us (and for our Revel friends that need to borrow power 😂 🤫)

The screens in the 2022 are actually much improved. So we may stick with them for a bit.
Will stealth still allow you to park overnight in urban areas without being bothered?
Might sounds crazy, but I think it will. We were camping on the streets in the Florida keys with our last van and I think the white color reflected the light and caught the attention of the police. Meanwhile our friend in a dark gray van didn’t have any issues… until we parked next to him and we both got busted!
Are u guys full timers or just long weekends and vacation timers?
We’ve been full time for 2 years. Just bought some property to call our own but still mostly full time.
