Do you give your cattle minerals? If so what kind? How do you give it to them. I’m just so confused when it comes to the minerals
Great question! We give apple cider vinegar and basic h monthly, mineral wise, I give a salt block and natural protein bucket once I feed hay, now .. when it comes to minerals, we keep free choice minerals out for the majority of the year, they make a natural cattle mix (loose) which we give to cattle and sheep, Cows don’t like to much but sheep do.. so I still put out an all natural mineral mix however we give kelp, charcoal, and have given oregano, and sage free choice. If you rotating good, they tend to not go towards it a lot. I would definitely get a mineral mix out if you are doing hay right now, they will at least eat what they need out of it. It’s hard to have 20 different minerals always in stock so get the main few charcoal, salt, kelp mainly and keep a mineral mix out generically too
