Hey Stafford, forget about the ground pod ! I wanna know where you you got those glasses you where rockin'.... thanks for sharing your ground pod project very cool. I am off to check out more of your channel! Say'in hey... Greg
Just watched like the idea. Just one thing I would change. I would counter sink the washer and nut so your head sits right on the base. This would make it more stable.
Hey, not the greatest ball head for photography but i bought it here with the tripod. Seems to work good enough thou.. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SRZWLQS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Xmax to you my man...
Nice outfit. I would like to do one but dont have all the tools. You mentioned you could build one if anyone wanted. I would love get one from you if you can make!
Colin, Yea, I think I can set you up. I have it on amazon and ebay. I usually do not ship overseas but can make an exception. see if you can find it on ebay or amazon named GROUND POD FUHS PHOTOGRAPHY.... If you cant write me back and we can work something out. Thanks again...
Nice and handy improvisation...I am thinking of getting a sturdy monopod base with a ballhead attached to it for low level photography of shore birds...thinking of imrovising it by placing it on a frisbee like plastic light weight material so that it can be slid over grass or sand ...I have a lumix G85 camera with a leica 100-400 mm lens...would like to have your advice if this is a workable option...thanks.
An old aluminum pan. You'll glue inside the wood disk with already the screw inserted. Done. And it's perfectly watertight and rust-proof. Can support up to 5kg like a Sigma 150-600 extended without loosing stability and capsizing
Thinking of getting the SIRUI P-36 Monopod Adapter P-36 Kit-Tripod Base+Adapter for P-306/P-326 Monopods since I have the Sirui P-306 monopod ...and add to this the wimberly monopod gimbal head would give me the flexibility to shift from near ground level to Tree top level as the situation arises...basically want a light everyday set up...mostly i can comfortably handhold the Leica Lumix 100-400mm lens for stills but for videos and waiting shots , the monopod and Gimbal head will be needed to keep things steady and free the arms.
"I've kinda just used... a duffel bag or sand bag in the past" Rest of us trying to drop gear weight, this man doing cross fit on his way to location. Some people just built different! /s
No doubt I use this because it is much lighter than the tripods i have and much more compact. I tried sandbags and nope too much weight but the camera bag / duffel bag works really well..... Thanks for watching and chiming in.
I do I kind of took the links down. if you send me an email I might be able to get you a few I have left. Again these are just manually created nothing totally professional.
Hi, nice video. Question: which screw do you use exactly? I mean the One of the groundpod where you put the head on. Can you tell me lenght and diameter?
Much thanks for watching. Yes nice think is with the setup you can put any head on it you want giving or taking away a few inches depending on the grass or foliage.
Nice gadget! This will be very useful!
Thanks from Spain!
Thanks for watching !

Hello, i was wondering what's the plastic object did you used? Thanks
Plastic planting bowl from amazon.

Stafford where did you get the large plastic base?
amazon under planting subjects.
very interesting
Thanks For Watching !
What are you using for your base?
Flower Planter OR Frying Pan works
@@MAKE_PHOTOGRAPHS_ANYWHERE well I thought of a flower planter, but what you are using looks like a heavy duty version. Thanks for getting back to me.

Neither of your links work anymore. Do you still make these ground pods?
I do I kind of took the links down. if you send me an email I might be able to get you a few I have left. Again these are just manually created nothing totally professional.
Hi, nice video. Question: which screw do you use exactly? I mean the One of the groundpod where you put the head on. Can you tell me lenght and diameter?
Yes sorry wow, I am using a 3/8 inch screw that is about 1.5 inches to 2 inches in length. Sorry for the delay . Hope this helps.

Excellent very cool !
Did you get your inspiration from watching David Attenborough wildlife programs ???????.. they often use RC Camera disgused rock / animal ..
I have not but probably should.......
Hey - I understand your upgrades. You still offering to make them for US$65?
Hello, can you write me an email. My email address is on the about area at staffordfuhs@gmail.com lets talk a little more.
That fluid head adds way too much height. An adjustable gimbal head will get you lower by a few inches. Other than that, great set-up.
Much thanks for watching. Yes nice think is with the setup you can put any head on it you want giving or taking away a few inches depending on the grass or foliage.
Hello are you still making this groundpod?
yes, actually improved ones they are kind of expensive as the parts have improved. www.ebay.com/itm/256121425603
What is the purpose of Hook?
ahh the hook helps clip on to your backpack. When you carry alot of gear you want to be able to just hang it off of the backpack.
@@MAKE_PHOTOGRAPHS_ANYWHERE Thanks a lot for your response
Why no shots of the bottom of it on your product page?
Sorry not sure what you mean ?
@@MAKE_PHOTOGRAPHS_ANYWHERE the bottom side of the pod. You don’t show it on your webpage or the ebay page.
