You're a great dad! When I was a kid my dad never brings me to camp but golf which I hated so much! If my dad gives me a hammock when I was a kid it would made my day:)
You may want to look at onewind snake skins. I use a one piece skin for my 13x10 Aqua quest defender tarps and a two piece skins for my hammocks. Onewind skins have two draw strings one the strap end of the skin. This allows me to keep the straps attached to hammock all the time and never remove them. I’ve been in two storms now with skins and haven’t had any issues with hammock getting wet leaving straps in the skin. I should mention I have color coded carabiners that also stay on the end of the hammock straps all the time also. set up that I described above allows me too set up my ridge line and tarp in porch mode with trekking poles and hammock hung in under 5 min typically takes about 3 min. and thats not even rushing. I guess what I’m trying to get here is Ive found for me in the last month snake skins are a game changer. Once you figure out how to roll your tarp and skin it without encapsulating your ridge line in the skin tear down and pack up are almost as quick. I don’t know how long it takes most people just set up. But I know when I first started setting up it was taken me 15~20 minutes or so to get everything up. Because I made sure the only thing that ever touches the ground is tent stacks. Maybe I’m just crazy Another positive for snake skins is if you drop your hammock while hanging it on a patch of poison ivy. It’ll save you arss. lol
I have been thinking about getting some skins for a while now. After reading this I definitely think I’m gonna have to go ahead and purchase them. Thank you for your input.
thier camos brilliant.. thier product line they actually make in it is PATHETIC 2 years i been trying get them do the 12ft tarp tent to go with the camo 11ft hmk... HELP CONVINCE THEM TO GET THEM DONE AT LAST PLEASE EVERYONE
